Jaipur: A 23-year-old woman from Jaipur has alleged that Rohit Joshi, the son of Rajasthan Minister Mahesh Joshi, raped her on multiple occasions over a year, following which the Delhi police has registered a zero FIR, officials said on Sunday.A senior Delhi police officer said the Rajasthan Police has been intimated about the FIR and will further investigate the matter.The case was registered on May 8 at a police station in North District under sections 376 (rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence), 312 (causing miscarriage), 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her mar­riage, etc), 377 (unnatural offences) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, the police said.Mahesh Joshi, the Minister for Public Health Engineering, could not be reached over phone for his reaction.In her complaint, the woman alleged that the minister's son raped her on several occasions between January 8 last year and April 17 this year and also promised to marry her.The woman said she developed friendship with Rohit Joshi on Facebook last year and since then they have been in contact. The two met in Jaipur first and he allegedly invited her to Sawai Madhopur on January 8, 2021.During their first meeting, she alleged, he spiked her drink and took advantage of it. When she woke up the next morning, he showed her naked photographs and videos which worried her, reads the FIR.Mentioning about another meeting, she alleged that Rohit Joshi had also once met her in Delhi and forced himself upon her."Rohit made me stay at a hotel where he got our names registered as husband and wife. He then promised to marry me...but then he got drunk and abused me...He would beat me up and make obscene videos of me. He would threaten to upload them and make them viral...," the woman alleged.She further stated that on August 11, 2021, she found out that she was pregnant with his baby and alleged that he forced her up take a pill but she didn't, the complainant stated.According to the woman, the accused allegedly raped her on several occasions."Based on the complaint of the woman, we have registered a zero FIR. Jaipur: The murder of Kanhaiya Lal has been registered under stringent provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and will be investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), said Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday after chairing a high-level review meeting.He said that the Rajasthan ATS will provide full cooperation in the probe.The police officials said that the preliminary investigation has revealed that the incident was prima facie done for the purpose of spreading terror. Information about the international connection of the accused in other countries has also come to the fore.The Chief Minister said the police and administration should ensure law and order in the state and take strict action against those trying to create nuisance. During last year a total of 21,148 meetings of UTRCs were held resulting in release of 31,605 undertrial inmates.The Minister appealed the State Legal Services Authorities to further intensify their efforts to provide legal counsel/aid to the under-trial prisoners so that in co-ordination with the Under Trial review Committee maximum number of undertrial prisoners are released. He further appealed the High Courts to ensure during this period regular meetings of UTRC headed by the concerned District Judge so that maximum number of undertrial prisoners languishing in our jails are recommended for release before 15th August 2022. He said that the release of undertrial prisoners may be seen in the context that as part of the celebration of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” Government of India has already decided to grant Special Remission to prisoners for which the guidelines have already been issued by Ministry of Home affairs.&nbsp;In his concluding remarks, Shri Kiren Rijiju said that access to justice has been recognized as an integral part of our legal framework prescribed under the Constitution of India. Jaipur: Two teenagers drowned and three others were rescued on Sunday morning when they had gone to take bath in a pond on the outskirts of Jaipur, police said.The incident happened near Aakda village, while two boys slipped into deep waters of the pond, three others were rescued with the help of villagers, Rameshwar Lal, sub-Inspector at Daulatpura police station said.The deceased were identified as Rohit Bunkar (14) and Manish Gupta (14), both residents of Vishwakarma Industrial Area here.He said that bodies will be handed over to family members after post mortem.—PTI

The traffic came to a standstill due to waterlogging reported at many places and schools were closed.In fact, torrential rain in the city which started from 7 p.m. on Monday continued for five hours due to which roads were waterlogged and over 30 colonies were flooded with water.Looking at the flood-like situation in the city, district collector Himanshu Gupta ordered the closure of the schools, both government and private.At the same time, the administration cancelled two trains due to water overflowing the tracks.It was being said that this was Jodhpur's first heavy rain in the last 22 days of the monsoon season. It has rained 118mm since Monday evening till 8 a.m. Tuesday. Several areas reported power outages.Commuters had to face a harrowing time due to waterlogging at the Jodhpur railway station.Rajasthan has been witnessing heavy rainfall since the start of the week.Bhilwara recorded the highest 205mm rainfall in the last 24 hours, which was followed by Chittaurgarh with 179 mm rain and Jodhpur with 111mm. —IANS

Jaipur:&nbsp;Honey-trapped Army jawan, who was arrested for sharing confidential documents and videos of his regiment's war exercise with Pakistan agents here, was on Wednesday presented before a local court which sent him to two-day police remand, officials said on Thursday.Considering the seriousness of the crime and the need for a thorough investigation, the court sent Shantimoy Rana, a resident of West Bengal, on two days police remand, said ADGP Intelligence Umesh Mishra. The accused was in contact with Pakistani women handlers for the last two years through WhatsApp and telegrams, he added.The investigation conducted so far confirmed that the accused was receiving money in lieu of strategically sensitive and confidential information of the Army.Mishra said that the receipt of money has been confirmed in the bank account records of the accused.Further investigations are on. —IANS

Jaipur:&nbsp;A team of the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday arrested three people, including the Chief Fire Officer of the Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation, in separate cases of graft. Rajasthan ACB Director General B L Soni said the ACB team arrested Jagdish Phulwari, Chief Fire Officer, Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation, and his driver Shrawan Kumar. The accused official had demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a firm for issuance of fire NOC (no objection certificate). After verification, a trap was laid and the driver was caught red-handed while taking the bribe. Both have been placed under arrest under the Prevention of Corruption Act, Soni said. In Hanumangarh district, Agriculture Supervisor of Gram Panchayat Malwani, Dayaram, was arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a farmer to clear his file for farm pond construction, the ACB DG said.—PTI

Jaipur:&nbsp;Rajasthan government has gone on an alert mode in view of the rising number of cattle stock falling prey to the lumpy skin disease and has directed the officers to work on a mission mode for the prevention of the disease.As per officials, over 4,000 cows in the state have died due to the disease and thousands have been infected.Animal Husbandry Minister Lalchand Kataria said that funds worth Rs 8-12 lakh have been disbursed at the division level offices in Ajmer, Bikaner and Jodhpur to buy emergency essential medicines. An amount of Rs 2 to 8 lakh has also been disbursed for other affected districts. In view of the emergency situation, the medicines available in the drug stores of other districts have been sent to the affected districts. Permission has been given to buy essential medicines under the brand name if the generic name is not available.The minister said that the state medical teams and teams from neighbouring districts have been sent to the more affected districts. For the affected districts, 29 veterinary doctors and 93 livestock assistants have been deployed from other districts. Approval of 30 additional vehicles has been issued for effective monitoring and treatment of sick animals. Nodal officers sent from the directorate are visiting the affected areas and monitoring them continuously. More staff will be sent from other districts if required. A control room has been set up in the affected districts as well as at the Jaipur Headquarters for continuous monitoring of the disease spreading among livestock.Giving instructions to control the lumpy skin disease completely in 15 days, secretary P.C. Kishan said that close monitoring is being done in Barmer, Jalore, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Sirohi districts due to high infection. He said that vigilance is also being done in other districts, including Dungarpur, Banswara, Udaipur, Rajsamand adjoining Gujarat. He said that teams from Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi and National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases, Bhopal have collected samples of sick animals from Jodhpur and Nagaur districts.Kishan informed that the districts have been given full powers to deal with this disaster of disease outbreak. He instructed the officers to keep the sick animals separate from the healthy animals. Along with this, instructions were given to dispose of the dead animals through scientific methods."The outbreak of this disease is high in Jodhpur division, although the death rate is not high. One to 1.5 per cent of the animals that get sick are dying, which are very weak and have low immunity. Veterinarians are doing symptomatic treatment to prevent the disease. In order to protect healthy animals from the disease, animal owners have been advised to keep the infected animal completely separated, if symptoms like fever and lump, etc., are detected," said the officials.Kataria was reviewing measures being taken for the prevention of the disease with the officials of the affected districts through video conferencing at Pant Shi Bhawan here on Wednesday.He directed the officers to immediately reach the spot on getting information about the infection and make the people aware of the preventive measures.Chief Secretary Usha Sharma also had a meeting with ten district collectors and district level officers of the Animal Husbandry Department through video conferencing to review the status of lumpy skin disease spreading in the state and the efforts being made to prevent it. Jaipur: The Congress high command has called senior leader Kamal Nath to Delhi and he is likely to meet party chief Sonia Gandhi on Monday, sources said.
The visit of Kamal Nath, the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief, to Delhi comes amid a political drama in Rajasthan over leadership change following Ashok Gehlot's announcement that he would contest the All India Congress Committee president polls.
Kamal Nath is known to have close ties with the Rajasthan chief minister and could be asked to broker a truce, sources said.
While legislators loyal to Gehlot have been vocal about their issues, MLAs in the Sachin Pilot camp refrained from commenting.
MLAs loyal to Gehlot have said they have put forth demands before the observers that any decision on the chief ministerial face should be taken after the party president election on October 19 and in consultation with Gehlot.

After the protesters threw stones at the workers, the police who were on the scene detained a number of them.
The protesters allegedly tried to forcefully block the national highway without getting permission, and the police had to use light force to scatter them.
The Gurugram Police diverted the Expressway due to the altercation, which caused traffic jams for commuters.
To check for suspicious vehicles, the Gurugram Police had barricades erected at a number of highway entry points, including Rajiv Chowk, Sohna Road, and Hero Honda Chowk.
According to traffic officials, the protest caused the Expressway's traffic to move slowly, and they have since implemented several measures to prevent congestion.
According to Subhash Boken, a spokesman for the Gurugram police, the police were keeping the public informed about the traffic conditions in that city via their official social media accounts.
In addition to this, a sizable crowd of protesters was gathered near the Kherki Daula toll plaza.
The Gurugram traffic police had also given commuters a warning about the congestion in the meantime.

Nadda, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Thursday flagged off 51 chariots from Jaipur as part of the Jan Aakrosh Yatra, which was organised by the saffron party's chapter in Rajasthan to draw attention to the shortcomings of the Ashok Gehlot-led administration.
According to the plan, 200 chariots will travel to each of the state's 200 assembly districts.
Speaking at the event, Nadda highlighted the shortcomings of the Gehlot-led administration, saying: "Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Central Government, crores of people in the nation receive health protection and high-quality care, but the Rajasthan Gehlot administration did not implement this programme but instead gave it the name Chiranjeevi.
The Annapurna project was renamed Indira Rasoi by the government. The Antyodaya Yojana, administered by the late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, a former chief minister, was also discontinued by the Congress government, he added. Through it, young people could obtain loans of Rs 50,000 without providing any security.
The BJP leader continued, "Gehlot is striving to push Rajasthan back by opposing all initiatives, including Ayushman Bharat and the Jal Jeevan Mission of the Centre."
The BJP anticipates reaching approximately 2 crore residents of the state through the yatras in a period of 14 days.
According to a party source, each chariot has a complaint box where the general public can record issues relating to public projects.
The grievances against the Congress government will be brought up after gathering complaints from each state assembly district, and the BJP will also incorporate them in its manifesto.

On Friday morning, a FIR was filed at the Jalupura police station, according to information supplied by Beniwal himself on his Twitter account.
The Rajasthan MP reported the theft of expensive antiques, jewellery, and cash from his home to the Jalupura police station.
Beniwal claimed in the report that the burglars broke into the home and took Rs. 1.5 lakh, four gold bracelets, four rings, silver coins, antiques, kitchen faucets, and quilts and blankets. The case has been reported to police, who have also begun an inquiry.
The crew was sent to the scene, according to Jalupura officials, after they learned about the event. It is being examined what was captured on the area's CCTV. Also established in this is the special cell for the same district. The police have promised to apprehend the criminals soon.

Thieves steal cash & jewellery from Raj MP's home

Gurugram: A video went viral on Tuesday in which two men allegedly stole flowerpots set up for the G20 meeting near Shankar Chowk on Delhi-Jaipur Expressway in Gurugram.
The Gurugram Police are now registering an FIR related to the matter.
"We have received a complaint from Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) following which we are filing an FIR in the matter. The car bearing number 'HR20AV0006' was registered in Hisar and the owner is a lady identified as Beena. We will soon send her a letter to join the investigation," Umesh Kumar, station house officer of DLF Phase-3 police station told IANS.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson of the GMDA said they will deploy security guards and alerted the police so that such incidents could be avoided in the future. The incident forced the district administration to act against the involved persons.
In the viral video which surfaced on Twitter, the two men can be seen standing alongside their KIA car, which has a VIP number plate, in Gurugram's Shankar Chowk, picking flowerpots one after the other and storing them in the trunk.
The video had received over 5 lakh views and over 3600 'likes' on Twitter.
DC Gurugram responded to the viral post on Twiiter and asked the city police to look into the matter.
