Telangana: The Narcotics Control Bureau on Sunday said it has arrested a Hyderabad-based man and seized Rs 3.71 crore cash as it claimed to have unearthed an illegal Internet pharmacy that shipped narcotics to the US and some other countries.The pharmacy, identified by the federal anti-narcotics agency as JR Infinity Pvt Ltd, was located at Domalguda in Telangana's capital city.Officials of the NCB Hyderabad sub-zone carried out raids at this location few days back and arrested the unidentified 'kingpin' who allegedly ran the illegal pharmacy.It said Rs 3.71 crore cash, identified as proceeds of drugs trafficking, a number of laptops, mobile phones and other electronic gadgets that were used to operate the "illegal Internet pharmacy" have been seized."Employees of JR Infinity used to contact customers in the US and other countries over email and VoIP (voice over Internet protocol) calls and offer various pharma drugs, including those covered under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act, for recreational use to them.""Once customers agreed upon the product and price, the employees collected the details of the customers like name, shipping address, email id etc, and shared payment links with them," NCB deputy director general (operations) Sanjay Kumar Singh said in a statement.The officer said customers were offered multiple payment methods "like account transfer, credit card, PayPal, bitcoins etc."On confirmation of the payment by the customer, JR infinity used to illicitly divert and dispatch pharma drugs to the customers in the US and other countries, he said.The agency found that the arrested accused had "carried out more than one thousand illicit diversions and shipments of drugs from India to the US and within US also."The psychotropic tablets that were trafficked included Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Alprazolam, Diazepam, Lorazepam, Clonazepam, Zolpidem, Tramadol etc—PTI

Jaipur: Curfew was clamped and internet services were suspended in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh after the villagers, who were demanding action against suspected cow-slaughterers, clashed with police, official sources said on Thursday.As per the sources, alleging that a cow was slaughtered on Eid, the villagers had staged a sit-in since July 21 demanding action against the accused. The situation turned sensitive after the agitators were driven out of the protest site on Tuesday.There was stone pelting and lathicharge in which cops and agitators were injured. Over 40 people were detained by police.Police officials said that the villagers took out a rally on Wednesday afternoon. As section 144 was imposed in the village, police had to resort to lathi-charge for violation of Section-144.Also, tear gas shells were lobbed to control the situation. Later, curfew was imposed in two villages — Gandhibari and Chidiyagandhi — of the district. Internet services were also suspended here.During the lathi-charge and stone pelting between police and the agitators, Bhirani SHO Omprakash Suthar was hit on head, while another villager was also injured. District collector Nathmal Didel reached the location and additional forces were called from several nearby police stations and police lines and deployed in the area.Meanwhile, curfew has been clamped and internet services will remained suspended till further orders in Bhadra tehsil of Hanumangarh district, said officials from collector’s office.On previous occasions, internet services were suspended in different parts of the desert state after communal tension erupted in Karauli, Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh as well as after the recent beheading of Kanhaiyalal. —IANS

As per the rule 4(7) of the said Rules, the significant social media intermediaries shall enable users to voluntarily verify their accounts and such users’ accounts shall be provided with visible marks of verification.This information was given by the Minister of State for Electronics &amp; Information Technology, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today.

New Delhi: Amid growing privacy thefts and hacking concerns, more than a third of people (33 per cent) would delete their profiles from the Internet if they could, a report revealed on Tuesday.
It is estimated that 63 per cent of the global population is currently online.
According to a report by virtual private network (VPN) service provider NordVPN, 45 per cent respondents said there is no reason for their name to be on the internet, while 42 per cent said they feel used because companies collect their data and use it to their advantage.
While 34 per cent of the people surveyed said they feel that someone will eventually hack their devices, 31 per cent do not trust the Internet.
According to respondents from the survey of 10,800 people, half (50 per cent) said that they would most like their personal financial information to be deleted from the internet.
Other information people want deleted from the internet include unflattering photos/videos, embarrassing moments, old dating/social media profiles and previous employment history.
“While removing yourself from the internet sounds like a good idea for those concerned with having their personal information exposed to the wrong entities, you have to ask yourself if wiping the slate totally clean is even possible in our digital-dominant world,” said Daniel Markuson, a digital privacy expert at NordVPN.
“Our survey also found that some would be in favor of a more practical approach because 38 per cent would be in favour of paying to use the internet anonymously at all times,” he added.
For those who want to be anonymous online and are willing to pay for it, 27 per cent of people would pay up to $100, 7 per cent would pay between $101-$500 and 3 per cent would fork out between $501-$1,000 to be anonymous.
Two per cent of respondents said they would pay even more, the report mentioned.
As many as 71 per cent of people would be afraid of having their financial data accessed by a hacker (or malicious third party), while 43 per cent said texts and emails, 35 per cent said “medical information,” 33 per cent said “social media accounts”, and 24 per cent said “sex life”. —IANS

New Delhi: Satellite internet provider Hughes Communications India on Monday announced the commercial launch of India's first high-throughput satellite (HTS) broadband service powered by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), as the Elon Musk-run SpaceX abandoned its affordable internet project Starlink in the country.
The service aims to deliver high-speed broadband across the country, including in the most remote areas beyond the reach of terrestrial networks, thus connecting enterprise and government networks.
"At ISRO, we are committed to exploring and expanding the ways we can work with the private sector to help improve people's lives and bridge the digital divide," said Dr S Somnath, Secretary, Department of Space and Chairman, ISRO.
""With the new HTS capabilities powered by ISRO satellites, we are confident that HCI will continue to deliver excellent quality satellite broadband services and further enhance the connectivity experience that accelerates India's digital transformation," Somnath added.
HCI provides satellite broadband across more than 200,000 business and government sites in India, supporting enterprises as well as strategic central and state government projects.
In use on more than 75 satellites, the Hughes JUPITER System is the de facto standard for both high-throughput and conventional satellite implementations worldwide.
"Available countrywide, HTS broadband from Hughes underscores our longstanding commitment to bridging the digital divide, delivering multi-megabit high-speed broadband at affordable rates," said Partho Banerjee, president and managing director, HCI.
"This new broadband service will support the high-bandwidth requirements of government organisations, financial companies, cellular operators, mining and energy companies, among other businesses, large and small, helping to connect India to a limitless future,a he added.
The HTS broadband service from Hughes combines Ku-band capacity from ISRO's GSAT-11 and GSAT-29 satellites with Hughes JUPITER Platform ground technology to deliver high-speed broadband across India, including in the most remote areas beyond the reach of terrestrial networks. San Francisco: Elon Musk's SpaceX has made it to Antarctica and the National Science Foundation (NSF) is testing one of its Starlink internet terminals at one of the most exteme locations in the world.
The McMurdo Station at Antartica has nearly 1,000 people living and working there during the summer and they already have satellite internet which is not reliable in rough conditions.
There is currently a 17 Mbps link for everone, according to the United States Antarctic Programme. But with Starlink, the internet service will be better and not patchy like earlier.
After its race with OneWeb to cover the North Pole and other Arctic areas with satellite internet, SpaceX has made it to the other extreme: the National Science Foundation (or NSF) is testing out one of its Starlink terminals at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. The NSF says the increased bandwidth will help scientists working on the remote continent near the South Pole.
"NSF-supported USAP scientists in #Antarctica are over the moon! Starlink is testing polar service with a newly deployed user terminal at McMurdo Station, increasing bandwidth and connectivity for science support," the NSF said in a tweet.
The McMurdo Station blocks scientists from using Netflix and video calls, with the exception of Skype or FaceTime sessions once a week at a public kiosk or mission-critical communications, reports The Verge.
Starlink can offer speed around 50-200 Mbps. "Starlink is now on all seven continents! In such a remote location like Antarctica, this capability is enabled by Starlink's space laser network," tweeted Starlink.
Earlier this month, SpaceX successfully deployed 51 more Starlink satellites in space, completing its 40th mission so far this year. Musk recently said that SpaceX is launching Starlink satellites nearly every five days now and plans to launch 100 orbital missions in 2023. Royal Caribbean Group recently became the first in the global cruise industry to adopt SpaceX Starlink's high-speed, low-latency Internet services for a better onboard experience for guests and crew. —IANS

San Francisco: Elon Musk-owned SpaceX has announced that its satellite internet service Starlink will soon be available on select airplanes with the official launch of Starlink Aviation next year.
According to The Verge, the company claimed the service will offer internet speeds of up to 350mbps to each plane equipped with its Aero Terminal, which it says is fast enough for video calls, online gaming, "and other high data rate activities".
Most flights use air-to-ground systems, which top out at around 10 mbps per flight (and only work while flying over land), while current satellite systems typically offer between 30Mbps and 100Mbps, the report said, citing OneZero. Since these speeds are per plane, actual speeds can vary depending on the number of passengers using the internet in each flight, it added.
Support pages on SpaceX's site claim that its internet connections will be available throughout taxi, takeoff, flight over land and water, and landing, with latency as low as 20ms.
"Starlink Aviation will have global coverage," an FAQ reads. "Since the satellites are moving in low-earth orbit, there are always satellites overhead or nearby to provide a strong signal at high latitudes and in polar regions -- unlike with geostationary satellites," it added. On a recent test flight, Aviacionline reports that Starlink Aviation was able to offer 100Mbps internet speed onboard.
The demonstration was conducted on a flight between Burbank and San Jose, California, by JSX, which in April announced it would be one of the first air carriers to adopt the inflight internet service. —IANS

While pre-orders for the new flat high-performance service for on-the-go use are open in a select number of markets, customers will have to wait until December 2022 to receive their products.

A man was permitted to set up a fair inside the society's grounds by the society's builder. The man was accused by the locals of acting inappropriately around the women there, which is what led to the incident.

Seoul: Elon Musk-run SpaceX has applied for business registration with South Korean authorities to roll out its network of satellite internet service Starlink, sources said on Friday.
SpaceX filed the request with the Ministry of Science and ICT earlier this month to launch Starlink in the country, according to the sources.
SpaceX is expected to set up a subsidiary here to qualify for registration, reports Yonhap news agency.
Starlink uses a range of radio frequencies known as the 28 GHz band to provide high-speed broadband to remote and rural areas.
It is not yet known whether the company will use the same range once it begins service. It might not apply for frequency and instead offer service using ground stations in China and Japan. Starlink said on its website it will start its internet service in the country sometime during the second quarter of this year. Musk-run affordable satellite internet service Starlink has reached 1 million active paid subscribers, which now includes private jets, cruises, boats and more. --IANS

Noida: The Info Edge, which owns Naukri.com, on Saturday said its subsidiary, Allcheckdeals (ACD), acquired NewInc Internet Services, for a cash consideration of Rs 4 crore.
According to the statement shared with exchanges, the said investment is done to meet the working capital requirement of the NewInc. NewInc is engaged in the business of providing all kinds and types of internet, computer and electronics data processing services.
ACD has agreed to acquire 4,00,000 compulsorily convertible debentures, having a face value of Rs 100 each. Post this investment, NewInc will remain as a step-down wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, according to the statement.
According to the statement, NewInc was incorporated on December 27, 2016, and engaged in the business of providing all kinds and types of internet, computer and electronics data processing services.
Info Edge on January 24 said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Startup Investments (Holding) (SIHL), acquired an agritech firm Agstack Technologies (Gramophone) for a cash consideration of Rs 9.31 crore.
According to a statement shared with exchanges on January 24, Gramophone is a full-stack agritech platform for farmers. The company sells agri-inputs to farmers directly and via small retailers in an omnichannel model. It also provides advisory to farmers with respect to cropping or farming practices and helps them in selling their output to buyers.
Gramophone was incorporated on May 23, 2016, and is engaged in the business of retail of agricultural input, procurement of agricultural output and creation and maintenance of an advisory platform for farmers, the company statement showed.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Chandigarh: Mobile Internet services have been suspended in several districts of Punjab until 12 noon on Sunday, State police said today after launching an operation to arrest chief of suspected pro-Khalistan outfit 'Waris Punjab De', Amritpal Singh and his aides.
"All mobile internet services, all SMS services (except banking &amp; mobile recharge) and all dongle services provided on mobile networks, except the voice call, in the territorial jurisdiction of Punjab shall be suspended from March 18, (12:00 hours) to March 19, (12:00 hours) in the interest of public safety," Punjab's department of Home Affairs and Justice said.
The police action came almost over three weeks after Amritpal's supporters clashed with police personnel at the Ajnala police station on the outskirts of Amritsar last month, demanding the release of one of Amritpal's close aide- Lovepreet Toofan.
On February 23, thousands of his supporters, stormed the Ajnala police station, flashing swords and high-calibre firearms, threatening the police with dire consequences if they did not release Lovepreet Toofan, who was arrested for allegedly assaulting and abducting a man.
The supporters, brandishing swords and guns broke through police barricades erected outside the Ajnala police station.
The police later said "in the light of the evidence presented", it has been decided that Lovepreet Singh Toofan will be discharged. Lovepreet Singh was released from jail on February 24 following orders of a court in Ajnala on an application by the police.
Reacting to the incident, chief minister Bhagwant Mann said that these "1000 people" don't represent Punjab, and alleged that they are "funded by Pakistan" to disrupt peace in the state.&nbsp;

It is a disturbing fact that out of one million government schools in the country, only 2.47 lakh schools have internet facility. This number is only 24 percent. Delhi and Chandigarh can pat themselves on the fact that there is 100 per cent internet availability in schools. By the way, this should not be said to be a surprise in the country's capital Delhi and Chandigarh, the capital of the two states, because these cities are the centers of policy-makers of the country and the structural framework here is strong. but in other states Punjab's better performance is pleasant. Internet facility has been made available in about 47 percent government schools in Punjab. Undoubtedly, credit for this should be given to the activeness of the education department and the awareness of the teachers. But the availability of internet in the government schools of Haryana, which are connected from three sides to the national capital Delhi, is 29 percent. In spite of distribution of lakhs of tabs and laptops in schools and many campaigns by the government, the percentage remaining low is a Yaksha question. On the other hand, 27 percent in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu Only 22 percent of the schools in Kashmir have internet connectivity. In fact, recently Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had told in the Lok Sabha on Monday that only 24 per cent government schools in the country have internet availability. In which the condition of Bihar is worst where internet facility is available only in 5.8 percent schools. More or less, internet facility is available in 5.9 per cent government schools in Mizoram. The availability of 8.8 per cent in Uttar Pradesh also shows a worrying situation. Similarly in Odisha only eight Percent government schools have internet service availability. Among the big states, the most pleasant situation is said to be that of Kerala where 94.5 per cent government schools are equipped with internet connectivity. Similarly, internet facility is available in 94.1 percent schools in Gujarat. In such a situation, it is natural to raise the question that what would have been the condition of education in government schools amid nationwide lockdown and other communication restrictions during the Corona crisis? How much would the students have been able to study in these two interrupted years? Anyway remember these official figures Even if it is accepted as correct, the question arises that what percentage of teachers in these government schools are proficient in teaching through internet? Also, have we missed out on making emergency situations like the Covid pandemic a new opportunity? This was an opportunity to take full advantage of information and communication technology and get involved in providing internet facility to government schools. To say that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had claimed that one thousand crore rupees for information and communication technology i.e. ICT laboratories and states and center Rs 909.6 crore has been sanctioned for smart classes in union territories. But it remains to be seen how many schools got its benefit and internet facility has been made available there. Along with this, the Education Minister also said that the responsibility of improving telecom facilities has been given to BSNL. This thing demands investigation that how effective these government efforts have been seen at the ground level. But one thing is certain that how deep the division has become in the education world in the country. On one side there are five star private schools, Where the children of the rich class, policy-makers and elite class are studying, the basic need like internet is not available in government schools. Undoubtedly, poverty is at the root of all problems. In such a situation, it becomes the moral responsibility of the Central and State Governments to provide basic facilities like internet without delay to make government schools compatible with the global trend. Otherwise, we will create an army of educated illiterates in the country. This is the reason why unemployed students pursuing higher education in the country belong to the fourth category.are seen applying for government jobs. Nowadays, system administration tasks have become easier, and school administrators need to be more updated on the systems and network security. During the COVID pandemic, students used internet and computer devices for online teaching-learning process and they were exposed to the vast world of cyber usage intentionally or unintentionally. Schools are playing an important role in promoting internet safety among students. Schools are responsible for keeping systems/ computers/ network devices secure and functional in the lab. It is important to keep the systems and network devices safe in the schools.
<h2>CYBER CRIMES</h2>
Any unlawful action against some person using a computer and its online or offline applications is called cybercrime. A cybercrime occurs when information technology is used to commit or cover an offense. The act is only considered cybercrime when it is done intentionally. Thus, cybercrime is a criminal activity that involves a computer, networked device, or network.
Hackers are computer experts or skilled computer users who spend an enormous amount of time trying to breach the security of networks, Web servers, and email servers. A cracker is a hacker who breaks into someone else's computer system, often on a network. The users need to know about the different ways in which their computers can be used to commit an offense. The following list will give you an idea of the loopholes in the networks and security systems, which can be exploited by attackers to exploit the net users.&nbsp;
<h3>1. Hacking</h3>
Stealing the data and information from the computer system of a person by another person is called hacking. Hacking is an illegal act committed by an intruder to access the user's computer system without his/her permission. Hackers are the people doing the 'hacking.' They are basically intelligent computer experts and programmers who have an advanced knowledge and understanding of computers and commonly misuse this knowledge for deceitful/devious reasons. They have motives to harm other people and can be explained by a human tendency, like greed, fame, power, etc. The hacking may be of the following types:
(a) SQL Injections: An SQL injection is used to attack any unprotected or improperly protected SQL database. It is a technique used by hackers to to be used for the security vulnerabilities of the software that runs a website. When the user enters login information into sign-in fields, then this information is typically converted to an SQL command by this technique.&nbsp;
(b) Theft of FTP Passwords: This is a very common method to tamper with websites. FTP password hacking is easy because so many webmasters store their website login information on their PCs. The logs into the website via the remote computer and modifies the web pages.&nbsp;
<h3>2. Cyberbullying</h3>
Cyberbullying is bullying/harassment that takes place over digital devices like cell phones, computers, tablets, etc. It may occur through SMS, Text and apps, or online in social media, digital forums, or gaming platforms where people can view, participate in, or share content.
<h3>3. Call spoofing</h3>
It happens through computer apps that enable a person with criminal intent to change one's mobile number and voice to impersonate another to defraud the receiver.
<h3>4. Virus dissemination</h3>
A virus is an application with the ability to multiply itself, which can cause great danger and damage to files or other software on the same machine. Viruses are computer programs that are attached to the system to infect a system or files. They have a tendency also to circulate to other computers on a network. Malware includes computer viruses, worms, trojan horses, most rootkits, spyware, dishonest adware, crimeware, and other malicious and unwanted software, including true viruses.
Viruses disrupt the functioning of computers and affect the data stored. They either modify it or delete the data. Worms do not need a host to cling to like viruses. They replicate until they eat up all available memory of the system. That's why a worm is called self-replicating malware (MaliciousSoftware).&nbsp;
Trojan horses are different from viruses as they normally enter the computer system as an email attachment and can cause damage similar to other viruses, such as stealing information or hampering/disrupting the functioning of computer systems. Antivirus software is used in computers to check different types of viruses. Important antivirus includes McAfee, Norton, etc.
<h3>5. Phishing</h3>
Extracting confidential information illegally, such as credit card numbers and username-password combos, by a hacker is called phishing. It is carried out by email spoofing.&nbsp;
<h3>6. Cyberstalking</h3>
In Cyberstalking, a person is followed online, like on social websites. Using the internet or other electronic devices by someone for stalking or harassing another person by misusing information uploaded on social websites is called Cyberstalking. A cyberstalker does not physically follow his/her victim; he does it virtually by following his online social activity to harvest information about the stalkee for harassment, making threats, etc. It is an invasion of one's online privacy.&nbsp;
<h3>7. Social Trolling</h3>
&nbsp;&nbsp;It is the act of posting inappropriate messages or visuals about a person or organisation on an online social website or community with the sole purpose of causing humiliation or nuisance to the object of trolling.
<h3>8. Morphing&nbsp;</h3>
When the face of a person to the body of another is published to blackmail or otherwise intimidate the person, then it is called morphing. It is one of the ways by which people who upload photos on social networking sites can be exploited.
<h3>9. Ransomware&nbsp;&nbsp;</h3>
It is malicious software that threatens to publish the victim's data or block access to it until a ransom is paid. It gains access to the user's data by being downloaded as an attachment in the mail.
<h3>10. Profile Hacking</h3>
It happens when the email or social networking site of someone is accessed by a probable stalker who then compromises it.
<h3>11. Camera hacking</h3>
When photographs of a person through malware are taken without his/her consent, then it is called camera hacking. This malware is an attachment. Smartphones without camera-guard are exploited for such criminal activities easily.
<h3>12. Deepfake</h3>
This technique is used to combine and superimpose new images and videos onto source images or videos to create fake videos. In these videos, the voice or face of another person is superimposed on the original one in such a manner that the viewer or listener cannot distinguish between the two videos.
<h3>13. Harassment of Online Gaming</h3>
Girls or boys who are suffering from loneliness, low self-esteem, and clinical depression can become victims of dangerous online games like PubG, blue whale, etc. Students should not play such games.
<h3>14. Web jacking</h3>
In Web jacking, the hackers take control of the website and may change the content of the original website or even redairect the user to another fake similar-looking page controlled by him. The hacker may use the website for his own interests or for ransom.&nbsp;
<h3>15. Data diddling</h3>
Data diddling is a process in which the unauthorised altering of data is done before or during entry process into a computer system and then changing it back after processing the same. By using this method, the attacker may modify the expected output. In other words, the original information to be entered into the system is changed by the hacker through a virus that's programmed to change the data, the programmer of the database, or anyone else involved in the process of transmitting data.

Cyber Security In Schools: Need Of The Hour

Mumbai: Actress Poorti Arya, who was last seen in the TV show 'Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2', has been missing from screens for one year. Poorti reveals that she made a conscious decision to take a break from acting due to "health issues."

She said: "I took a short break from acting owing to my health issues which needed to be treated on priority. Sometimes in life, you have to choose yourself, leaving everything behind. I had to take time off to take care of my health. Also, I had to make up my mind and sort things out for myself about the kind of project and character I wanted to do. In the hope of starting things with a fresh breath, I decided to pause things for a while. But now I am finally back on the work front and have started giving auditions."

Revealing the kind of work she wants to do, she said: "I want to do prominent characters like I have done in the past. I wish to play a strong character which leaves a mark on the audience's minds. Each journalistic form and style needs some different techniques for collecting information and writes for different purposes and audiences. There are four principal types of journalism namely investigative, news, reviews and columns. 
<h3>News: </h3>
Most widespread form requiring journalism approach is the news coverage. News journalism is often to the point and does not contain any kind of added personal views or any kind of manipulation. It is often referred to as straightforward journalism. Facts are relayed as it is without any change or interpretation. Typical news must be relayed as it is without any tampering with the facts and figures. A normal news story often constitutes a headline with just enough explanation to give an idea of the rest of the article to the reader. News stories relay facts, events and information to society in a straightforward, accurate and unbiased manner. Any deviation from the original facts can at times lead to some serious consequences. Investigative Journalism: The most important and famous form, investigative journalism aims at uncovering the true facts about a particular subject, person, or event of public interest. The investigative journalism is based on the basic principle underlying all journalism-verification and accurate presentation of the facts. It is advised that investigative reporters must work with uncooperative or recalcitrant sources that would maintain the confidentiality of the information and would never divulge or manipulate the information. The investigative journalist should always be aware of their responsibility and should always bring the truth to light. They should also keep in mind that honesty with their work is very important as it can lead to some major public unrest also if something wrong is published. Hence reporters need to be well aware of the fact.
<h2>Columns Writers:</h2>
There is an important place for column writers in all the dailies and weekly publishing’s as well. There can be a wide variety of topics for these columns which can be for a newspaper, magazine or an online media and these are based primarily on the personality of the author. Column writers usually write about subjects or topics in a personal style and usually are associated with one field only which is either related to entertainment, sports, art or culture etc. It is possible that column writers can take a humorous approach, or specialize in a particular subject area or topic. Column writers are usually noticed by their constant focus on a single topic and it's important for columnists to develop their own voice that is recognizable by their readership. Columnist particularly writes their views about some ongoing important event, or some interesting extract or journey from their lives, some important historical event or some new technology. Usually, these articles by the writers are published weekly in a specific fixed column, or these may find a place in a magazine too. Reviews Writer: Reviews can be stated as partly opinion and partly fact-based. Along with news, there can be views from some prominent people that may create a greater interest of the people in the news. These reviews can be about an ongoing event. For example, there can be reviews about an ongoing match by some ex-players from the same field. This creates an added interest of the general public and makes news item even more gripping. The review serves to accomplish the following two functions: 
Precisely describe or identify the subject being reviewed.
To provide an intelligent and informed opinion of the subject based on research and experience.
The review can be provided by prominent people on various topics owing to their experience in the same field, which gives a clear picture of the event and also creates in an understanding of the topic quite well. 
<h2>Career Options</h2>
For those who are interested in this thrilling field of journalism, they can do a course in journalism right after passing the senior secondary examination i.e., 12th standard. One another available option is the option of doing a professional degree in journalism, right after completion of an undergraduate course in any subject. Generally, a background in arts/humanities is preferred. For a student opting for journalism, it is very important to possess a good command over his language and communication skills. Knowledge of regional languages is an extra advantage as one do not know where exactly in future an important event is about to happen, and knowledge of regional language gives in the ability to interact well with the locals about the situation and the event. The courses of journalism are offered in English, Hindi and regional languages.
