Patna: The entry of Mohammad Israil Mansoori in a Vishnupad temple of Gaya has created a political storm in Bihar after several BJP leaders targeted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
The chief minister was on an official visit to Gaya and went along with Information and Technology Minister Mohammad Israil Mansoori to the Vishnupad temple for a 'darshan'.
After the 'puja', Mansoori said that it was my fortune to enter with CM Nitish Kumar in the "Garbh Grih" of Vishnupad temple.
The temple authority has claimed that a notice with regards to prohibition of non Hindu people entering inside the temple, put on the gate to inform them, still, Mansoori entered inside the "Garbha Griha" of the temple.
The temple has constituted a committee to investigate the incident.
Reacting on it, Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul, the MLA of BJP and Hindu hardliner said: "It was a heretic act of Mansoori to enter the temple. When it is clearly mentioned that non Hindus are prohibited to enter the temple, how did he do that? CM Nitish Kumar is answerable for it. He has hurt the sentiments of Hindu community and insulted the temple."
"The Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has hurt the sentiments of common Hindus, who believe in Sanatan Dharma by taking along a non Hindu, his Muslim minister into the premises of Gaya's famous Vishnupad Mandir. Nitish Kumar does not believe in Hindu religious text or follows the traditions of Hindu Dharma. If Nitish Kumar ji is suffering from secular-itis, he should better go to Mecca and Madina to offer Namaz," said Nikhil Anand, the national general secretary of the BJP's OBC wing and spokesperson of Bihar.
"The way Nitish Ji has deliberately tried to pollute the temple premises by breaking the ancient religious norms as well as rules and regulations of the local priest, he must apologise to the Hindu faith and all those who believe in Sanatan Dharma globally. This photo opportunity exercise of Nitish ji to appease the Muslims is seriously condemnable," Anand said.

Basava Jayamrutynjaya Swamiji, of Panchamasali Mutt of Koodala Sangama has declared that since the deadline for providing reservation to the Lingayat Panchamasali community under '2A' is over, the agitation would be launched in Shivamogga on Thursday.
The leaders and seniors of the community have also prepared to organise a massive convention of Panchamasalis in Bengaluru on October 23. The organisers said that they would strive to gather 25 lakh people for the convention. Before that it has been decided to stage a protest in front of the residence of Chief Minister Bommai at his native place in Shiggaon city on September 26.
The ruling BJP has been assuring the community of providing reservation since the time of B.S. Yediyurappa. The ruling BJP was successful in dividing the religious mutts and established a new mutt to put brakes to the agitation. However, Basava Jayamrutynjaya Swamiji, continued with the agitation and seems to be garnering support from the community. The ruling BJP has given four deadlines and it is not able to do anything about it as it would open a Pandora's Box.
Major communities like Valmiki and Kuruba have been demanding reservation for their communities under different categories. Opposition Congress, through Lingayat leaders of Panchamasali sect, is managing to slowly get the confidence of the sub-sect, which comprises a major chunk of the Lingayat community, according to insiders. Minister for Public Works Department, C.C. Patil has requested the seer and Panchamasali community leaders to drop the agitation. CM Bommai is working towards providing reservation, he said. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has a tough job on hand to assuage the Panchamasali community, failing which it will have direct impact in the upcoming assembly elections.

Mysuru: More shocking and heart wrenching details of victims of sexual assault are emerging in connection with Karnataka Lingayat Mutt sex scandal. The mother of the two minor girls, who have come forward to lodge a complaint against the arrested rape accused seer, have told police that she helplessly watched her daughters being taken to seer's private room. A staffer in the mutt, the woman said though she knew that both her daughters studying and residing in the hostel run by the Chitradurga Muruga Mutt were being violated, she kept quiet fearing the seer's clout. The fresh FIR has been lodged against seven persons, including the arrested Dr Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru. The seer is the main accused and hostel warden Rashmi is named as accused number two. Junior pontiff Basavaditya, Paramashivaiah, Mahalinga, Gangadharaiah and Karibasappa are also named in the FIR. Two new names have also come up in this FIR. One of her daughters,the woman said, was sexually exploited by the accused seer till she attained puberty. She had admitted her daughters to SJM Kannada medium school in 2016 in third and first standards. They stayed at the mutt's residential facility. Sharanaru would exploit her daughters in his private room. During Covid holidays between 2019 and 2020 the accused seer violated the girls repeatedly. She told police that accused seer had also sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl studying Class 10 and a 14-year-old girl studying in Class 9. Many more children staying at the hostel had been victimised. According to the woman, Rashmi, the girl's hostel warden who is presently in prison, would send girls to the accused seer forcefully. When the children refused, the other accused would threaten and compell them. Mahalinga took the children to the seer's private room and would stand guard to ensure that no one knows about what is happening, police said. The mother has stated in the complaint that she was in a deep financial crisis after her husband left her. She was with her parents who eked out their livelihood by selling fruits. The two girls, aged 12 and 14 had approached the CWC in Mysuru on Thursday with their mother and submitted their complaint. The arrested seer is presently in judicial custody till October 21. They were staying in the Akkamahadevi hostel run by the Chitradurga mutt and had approached the Odanadi NGO in Mysuru city and later the matter was brought before the CWC. Odanaadi NGO from Mysuru was instrumental in lodging a case against accused seer by the two assault victims earlier. A local court had rejected the bail petition by the accused five times and also denied any special treatment to him in the prison. The arrested Lingayat seer is accused of sexually exploiting the minor girls studying at hostels run by the mutt over two decades. The fresh case would be transferred to Chitradurga Rural Police station on Friday.&nbsp;

Bengaluru (The Hawk): An alleged video chat of the deceased with a woman came on public domain on Thursday, days after Lingayat seer Basavalinga Sree of Kanchugal Mutt in Ramanagar district died by suicide, raising suspicions that he was honey-trapped.
According to police, the discovery proves that the seer was targeted. A gang of important persons honey trapped Basavalinga Sree and gathered evidence against him.
Devotees argue that the video clip was not shot on the mutt grounds. They report that the deceased seer wore a gold karadige (a shivling wrapped in a little box and worn around the neck) that is now missing, and that he only wore a rudraksha mala when he went out.
Three ladies are being questioned in connection with the swamiji honey trap. The authorities are investigating whether the voice in the video footage is similar to one of the three ladies.
Investigations into the suicide case had previously revealed that the deceased seer had been honey-trapped, tormented, and forced to end his life.
Investigations have also shown that another Lingayat seer is plotting to take over the position behind this conspiracy.
According to police, a team of 10 to 15 people, including politicians, worked on and carried out the plot. According to investigators, the deceased seer was methodically honeytrapped and blackmailed over the publication of images and recordings of his private moments.
The Kudur police, who have taken over the inquiry, have already put a few people into custody and are looking into the incident. In his death note, the deceased swamiji alleged torture and honey trapping.

Bengaluru (The Hawk): Karnataka police are looking for the woman who honey-trapped Lingayat Seer Basavalinga Sri Swamiji of Kanchugal Bandemutt in Ramnagar district, who committed suicide under suspicious circumstances.
As the case progressed, police sources revealed on Sunday that they had acquired more than 20 video clips of the seer and the woman who was used to honey trap him.
According to preliminary findings, the lady who was honey-trapped is from Bengaluru. However, police sources stated that the deceased seer was spotted moving closely with various ladies, making it difficult for them to determine who among them honey-trapped him.
The films and audios with the woman were utilised by a gang of religious seers and politicians to blackmail and punish the deceased seer, who committed himself by hanging himself in the mutt grounds on October 24.
He had written a suicide note naming a religious seer and a politician as the people who had driven him to commit suicide. Many portions of the suicide note are still missing, and the police have requested people to turn them in or face charges.
As the police search for the woman who, according to the conspiracy, relentlessly trapped the seer. According to police authorities, despite having her photograph, tracking the lady sparrow has proven difficult.
Meanwhile, police sources revealed that one of the sages mentioned in the deceased seer's death note has vanished and is requesting anticipatory bail from the court. More research is being conducted.

Patna (The Hawk): According to authorities, a CRPF constable attempted suicide on Thursday in the Gaya region of Bihar.
Using his INSAS rifle, Chotu Lal Jat, a member of the CRPF's 159th battalion stationed in Gaya district's Maoist-affected Imamganj block, shot himself.
Others hurried over to him when they heard gunfire, where they discovered Jat lying in a pool of blood on the ground. He was also found with his INSAS rifle.
The battalion's commandant, Samir Kumar, stated: "We admitted him to the Anugrah Narayan Medical College and Hospital in Gaya, and he was then sent to the Patna Medical College and Hospital. His situation is critical.
"We're investigating why such a drastic action was taken. As soon as he comes to, we'll record his statement," he said.

Udupi, Karnataka (The Hawk): B.S. Yediyurappa, a lingayat strongman and former chief minister, attacked the rape suspect Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru on Tuesday, claiming that the seer had committed a "unpardonable" act that was public knowledge.
Speaking to reporters in the Karnataka district of Udupi, the member of the BJP Central Parliamentary Committee expressed surprise that the well-known seer would go to such a low level. He said, "It should be denounced by all, and the Chitradurga Mutt seer should face severe punishment."
Yediyurappa hasn't previously responded in relation to the development.
According to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, the matter will follow the dictates of the law.
The judicial detention of the rape suspect Seer is coming to a close, and on Tuesday, he will appear with the other accused before the Second Additional and Sessions' Court in Chitradurga.
Along with him will be the third accused Paramashivaiah, the previous manager of the mutt, and the second accused Rashmi, who served as a warden of the ladies dormitory. For additional sleuthing, the police are requesting to get custody of Rashmi, the accused.

The letter noted that "few police have reached the conclusion that the alleged seer had not done anything and it is a conspiracy by us and our children."
"After lodging, we and our kids have no where to stay. Food has been a struggle for us. The people who are housing us are viewed with suspicion," the mother said.
"Beti padav and beti bachao's catchphrase is being turned into a joke. Our goal is fairness. I tried to end my life after my husband left me. I was told to visit Murugha Mutt, and that is where I began my life, she says.
My two daughters were brought to the seer's private room, Motherly President. They were returned after being sexually assaulted. I was helpless in that situation as well. Who will take us seriously? Who will lend a hand? I was swallowing the sorrow in silence as I awaited the day of justice," the mother said.
"Me and my girls are among those who lost housing as a result of the sexual assault case. Many kids have came to me and told me about being sexually exploited. My choice to seek justice through the Odanadi institution is currently being viewed as a crime, she claimed.
"Those who aided us are receiving retribution. Is it feasible for a poor mother to make false accusations against her daughters' character? Legal action is taken against those who have been truthful. "I am seeking justice on behalf of lakhs of moms and daughters who have been victims. It is an insult to the truth, it is a disrespect to the legislation that has been designed to safeguard children, and some police officials appear to have concluded that it is a conspiracy. Please take my request under urgent consideration. Allow me and my daughters to live honourably. If not, kindly accede to mercy killing, the letter requests.

On September 10, 2020, lawyer Dinesh Chandra Tripathi filed a complaint against the defendant.

Accused of rape, Prajapati has been granted the relief to attend his daughter's marriage, scheduled for March 5.
Earlier, Gayatri had applied for a 56-day short-term bail but the state government opposed it. He is accused of raping a woman and attempting to molest her minor daughter along with his associates.

Patna: Bihar's Irrigation Department's Assistant Engineer was arrested in Gaya on Tuesday after he allegedly threatened to use drones to blow up the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the PM's office, the Gaya and Varanasi airports, and other key locations.
According to Gaya SSP Aashish Bharti, the accused Vineet Kumar sent a letter about 10 days ago in an attempt to frame three people.
"Vineet Kumar, who was posted in Sheikhpura in the Irrigation Department, had some personal enmity with three persons. Accordingly, he wrote a letter and mentioned the name of the three persons, including a doctor and a teacher, and posted it to the Director of Varanasi airport," he said.
"He had mentioned that the drone attack would take place on the day of Holi on March 8. He was arrested from Beldari Tola under Civil Lines police station in Gaya. We have also seized the original letter from his possession. He had sent the photocopy of the letter to the director of Varanasi Airport. Patna News: In the last 24 hours, Bihar recorded 38 new Covid-19 cases amid an ongoing resurgence.

Of the new cases, 17 were reported from Patna, six from Bhagalpur and three each from Gaya and Munger.

The health department had conducted tests of 32,302 samples on Monday.

With the new figure, the number of total active cases in the state stood 174.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed hospitals across Bihar to make adequate arrangements of medicines, hospital beds, ventilators, oxygen cylinders, ambulances and other necessary equipment to combat Covid-19.

Medical experts have however, claimed that the severity of the virus is not intense this time, but people have been advised to follow Covid protocols like washing their hands, taking steam at least once or twice in every 24 hours, wearing masks and maintaining social distance. IANS
