Palghar (The Hawk): On November 23, 2020—exactly two years prior—Shraddha Walkar filed a written complaint with the Tulinj Police Station in Palghar alleging that her live-in boyfriend, Aftab Ameen Poonawalla, had threatened to "kill and chop her into pieces" and other offences.
Police officially acknowledged the letter, which has only recently come to light, although it is unknown whether any more follow-up was taken.
In her complaint, she sounded desperate and claimed that Aftab was abusing her by beating her up, extorting money from her, and threatening to kill her and dismember her body.
Shraddha's greatest nightmares came true almost two years later when Aaftab was imprisoned for killing her and slicing her into several parts in Delhi.
