Bulandshahr: &nbsp;A 50-year-old taxi driver was shot dead over a personal enmity in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, police said. The deceased was identified as Salim, a resident of Tarinan locality in the Khurja City police station area. The police have arrested the main accused and a search is underway for his accomplice, Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said. According to the police, Shahzad, the main accused, was jailed in a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and released recently.Shahzad suspected that Salim was behind making a video of his criminal act viral leading to his arrest earlier, and targeted him on being released from jail, the police said.—PTI

Bulandshahr: The driver of an ambulance was charred to death when the vehicle caught fire. Flames erupted all of a sudden in the ambulance and the driver could get no time to jump off the vehicle and was burnt to death inside the running vehicle.According to police, the 102 ambulance was on its way back to hospital after dropping a patient from Khurja town of the district, late on Monday evening. The vehicle caught fire from the back and before anyone could alert the driver, the fire reached the bonnet.Sandeep Singh, SHO Khurja, Kotwali police station, said, “Before the driver could stop the ambulance and try to get out, fire engulfed the vehicle. He even tried to submerge the vehicle in a roadside pond to stop the fire, but failed. The fire burnt the driver, identified as Prashant Kumar, 23, to death. We have sent his body for autopsy and how the accident took place is being investigated.”—IANS

Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh): The Bulandshahr prison of Uttar Pradesh was awarded a five-star rating and the tag 'Eat Right Campus'by the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI), informed a press release.
The FSSAI team inspected the kitchen's food quality, storage and hygiene on stringent measures, based on which the Bulandshahr prison was given a five-star rating, the 'Eat Right Campus' tag in addition to the remark of 'Excellent' by the FSSAI.
As per the release, the jail officers and the prisoners worked extensively for beautification, cleanliness and food safety. The staff also used clean aprons, full-sleeve gloves and caps for preparing food.
Bulandshahr Jail is the second prison after Farrukhabad jail to get this tag from Uttar Pradesh.
The Director General of the prison, Anand Kumar, directed the staff to continuously work towards maintaining the hygiene, quality and cleanliness while preparing food.
He also congratulated all the staff and prisoners for the tag, the release stated.&nbsp;

Bulandshahr: After an exchange of gunfire, the Special Task Force and local police were able to apprehend a wanted criminal, authorities said Tuesday.
On Monday night, a police crew spotted a suspect who they later identified as Jitendra alias Jeet of Hathras. A gunfight ensued, and he was injured before he was caught, they added.

Bulandshahr: The Bulandshahr police have arrested a 60- year-old self-styled 'godman', who had been absconding for over two years, for allegedly murdering his lover's son.
According to police, the accused, identified as Sujan Singh, had strangled Amar Singh, 32, to death and dumped his body in a forest in January 2021.
Later that month, police recovered the partially burnt body of Amar from the area.
During investigation, police found that Amar was last seen with Sujan, after which they launched a manhunt to nab him.
The accused was arrested along with an illegal country-made pistol from a village temple in the Salempur area of Bulandshahr district, where he had been hiding. Shlok Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Bulandshahr, said, "Sujan Singh was wanted in connection with the murder of Amar Singh, a resident of Aligarh, as he opposed the illicit relationship between his mother and the accused."&nbsp;

Bulandshahr: Tension prevailed in Uttar Pradesh Bulandshahr district on Thursday after four Hindu temples were desecrated. Enraged Hindu organisations staged protests and demanded strict action against the miscreants who attacked the temples. The miscreants are also said to have vandalized 12 idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.
According to the reports, the incident is said to have taken place in the Baral area late on Wednesday night.
The locals informed the police on Thursday when they discovered that four temples were vandalized. The police immediately reached the spot and sealed the temple premises. The officers have also launched an investigation into the case and have assured the local Hindu organisations that the miscreants would be arrested at the earliest.
As per preliminary information, the locals suspect that the miscreants deliberately attacked the temples with the intention of distributing communal harmony.
One of the temples which has been attacked by the miscreants is assumed to be 100 years old and a video on the social media shows idols of Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman in a desecrated condition.
SP Surendra Nath Tiwari confirmed the incident and assured that all the miscreants will be arrested and punished as per the law.

Bulandshahr: A 23-year-old Muslim man was allegedly tied to a tree and forced to chant 'Jai Shri Ram' while a group of men thrashed him in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district.
The man's head was tonsured as the group of men suspected him to be thief. Two persons have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The incident was said to have taken place under the Kakod police station limits of the district on June 13, and a video clip of the incident surfaced on social media on Saturday. Taking note of the video, the police accepted a complaint from the man's father and assured him of strict action against the accused. The victim was identified as Sahil, a daily wage worker.

Bulandshahr: On Wednesday in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pardesh, the lintel of a house  under construction collapsed, burying 15 people, including five children from the same family.
The incident occurred in the Mawai area near the Narsena police station.
Thirteen people have been rescued, and two died from their injuries. Kuldeep and Dharmendra are the names of the deceased.
Those who suffered serious injuries were referred to the Meerut Medical College.
According to reports, the house of Harcharan Singh was being constructed. The old lintel was cast on the first floor of the house and the second floor was being built.
Around 3 a.m., the lintel on the second floor fell on the roof of the first floor, and the lintel on the first floor also broke under its weight.
The rescue effort was carried out with the assistance of local people and Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Arvind Kumar Singh, Circle Officer (CO) Bhaskar Kumar Mishra, and the rescue crew.—Inputs from Agencies

Bulandshahr: Two young farmers in Dibai village of Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district died after coming in contact with a high-tension wire, said officials on Friday. The families blamed the electricity department for negligence.
Police said cousins Sumit, 20, and Krishna, 22, died on Thursday when they had gone to their farm to collect fodder.
According to Sumit’s father Jitendra Singh, a snapped high tension live wire was lying on the field.
“One came in contact with the wire and got electrocuted. The other died while trying to save him. It was all due to the negligence of the electricity department,” he alleged.
SHO of Dibai, Chhotey Singh, said, “Two young men were taken to a hospital where doctors declared them dead. Their bodies were handed over to families. Prima facie, it appears they died of electrocution. There was an electric pole above them, but it is not clear what actually happened.
“Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Dibai visited the spot to prepare a report. We will register an FIR once we receive a complaint.”
The victims belonged to a farming family. Sumit was doing a polytechnic course at a private institute.&nbsp;

This ambitious venture, built at a cost of Rs 1,714 crore covers an area of 747 acres. Strategically positions itself near the junction of the eastern and western dedicated freight corridors. It is also conveniently located near the Eastern Peripheral Expressway to the south and the Delhi Howrah broad gauge railway line to the east.  Officials emphasize the connectivity offered by IITGN as it is surrounded by infrastructure facilities, for multi modal connectivity. With the Lok Sabha elections approaching in April May these transformative initiatives are expected to enhance the ruling BJPs development reputation particularly in Uttar Pradesh, a politically crucial state.
