Radhakishorepur/Ambassa (Tripura): The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, took aim at the Congress-CPI(M) partnership in Tripura on Saturday, saying that while the two parties "fight kushti" (wrestling) in Kerala, they have "done dosti" (friendship) in the northeastern state of Tripura.
Modi, in an apparent reference to Tipra Motha, said that other parties were helping the opposition alliance from the shadows, but that supporting them would set Tripura back several years.
"The usual suspects in bad government have banded together to form chanda" (donation). The Prime Minister made this statement at an election rally in Radhakishorepur, Gomati district, about people who had fought "kushti" (wrestling) in Kerala but had made "dosti" (friendship) in Tripura.—Inputs from Agencies
