New Delhi: For the 2023-24 season, the government has raised the minimum support price of raw jute by Rs 300, bringing it to Rs 5,050 per quintal.
The meeting, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over, was of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA).
"The approval is based on recommendations of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP)," I&B Minister Anurag Thakur told the press.—Inputs from Agencies
