Uttarakhand News (The Hawk - Chirag Kaul): There is a possibility of snowfall at places above 3,000 altitude. There is also a possibility of lightning and hailstorm with thunder at some places.&nbsp;
After midday, the weather changed in Uttarakhand and snowfall started in the hilly areas. In Kedarnath Dham, snow is falling intermittently till evening. The cleaning of the walkway from snow was greatly hampered by the inclement weather. In contrast, the strong rain storms and thunder were recorded in the lowland areas. There has been snowfall in the Kedarnath area for the past 19 days, and as a result, there is now between three and three and a quarter feet of fresh snow accumulated from Lincholi to Kedarnath.

In the hilly parts of Uttarakhand, today's forecast calls for a chance of light rain, snowfall, and hailstorm. The sky will be partially cloudy, but otherwise clear, in Dehradun today. The director of the Meteorological Department, Vikram Singh, has predicted that some areas in Uttarakhand could have very light rain, thunder, and snow today.&nbsp;

Rudraprayag: Following the continuous snowfall in Kedarnath Dham, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert for hailstorms and thunderstorms in the state for the next four days from Sunday, according to an official release.
"The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for bad weather in the state for the next four days from today. An alert has been issued for hailstorm and thunderstorm with a speed of 70 km per hour and heavy snowfall in areas above 3500 meters," read the release.
Informing about the unclear and bad weather in the state, the release said, "It has been snowing intermittently for the last thirteen days in Kedarnath Dham. The snowfall process started in Dham on April 18 and the snowfall which started in the afternoon on Saturday also continued till night."
"The weather is not clear in Kedarnath even from this morning. Due to snowfall, it is getting cold in Kedarnath," added the release. Earlier, owing to the problems caused due to snowfall in Kedarnath and Badrinath and the rains in the low-lying areas, the late-night Char Dham Yatris were stopped by police in Srinagar itself. Along with this, an announcement is being made to appeal to the passengers to stay in nearby cities. "In Srinagar Garhwal police have made checking points near NIT Uttarakhand and near Badrinath bus stand where Char Dham Yatris are being stopped and those who have online bookings for a night stay will be allowed to go towards Rudraprayag. But the passengers who have not booked the passes are being appealed to stay in Srinagar only," said SHO Srinagar, Ravi Saini.
Ravi Saini said that there are adequate arrangements for staying in Srinagar, and the passengers will not face any kind of problem. "Passengers are being appealed to continue their journey when the weather clears up," he added.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Haridwar (The Hawk): The weather in Uttarakhand has taken a sharp turn. Clouds loom from plains to mountains, occasionally blanketing areas in dense fog. Alerts for rain and hailstorm have been issued in several districts. Elevated regions might experience snowfall on Monday in three districts. Some areas might also witness sporadic rainfall over the next three days.  Recent information suggests active cloud movement in the mountainous districts due to the influence of a fresh western disturbance in the Himalayan region. Monday's alert includes heavy rainfall accompanied by hailstorms. Tuesday might also see cloud cover in various parts of the state, potentially causing precipitation in high-altitude regions like Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, and Pithoragarh. This could result in a drop in temperature and intense cold from the mountains to the plains.  The weather department has issued a yellow alert from November 27 to 29, warning of possible lightning strikes, damage to life and property due to hailstorms, tree plantation losses, and potential hazards. Additionally, on November 28 and 29, the department forecasts dense fog in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts, suggesting potential disruptions in transportation due to the thick fog during this period.
