Dehradun: Chairman of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) Dr Rakesh Kumar on Monday said that the Commission will issue its examination calendar within a week. "The responsibility of conducting 23 UKSSSC examinations has been entrusted to UKPSC in the light of which various further actions have been taken by the Commission on a war footing," Dr Kumar said. Notably, the Uttarakhand Cabinet on Friday passed a resolution regarding the transfer of the ongoing recruitment process for about 7,000 posts by the Uttarakhand State Subordinate Services Selection Commission (SSSC) to the State Public Service Commission (SPSC). "The situation was reviewed in the convened meeting of the UKPSC and UKSSSC officers and it was brainstormed that the above 23 examinations along with them should be speeded up without disrupting the examinations being conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission to be executed in a parallel manner," he further said. He also informed about the examination calendar and said that it will be issued within a week. "In the month of October-November this year, the release of 3-4 important examinations will be issued on a priority basis and the conduct of 3-4 examinations will be ensured in the month of December 2022 and January 2023," he said. The Chairman of the Public Service Commission said that after examining the examination courses, recruitment rules, advertisements etc. of the respective recruitments, action will be ensured so that any legal hurdles can be avoided in future.
