Dehradun: Punjab Police on Monday detained six people from Dehradun's Peliyon Police Chowki area in connection with Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder, said Special Task Force sources.According to the sources, Uttarakhand STF and Punjab STF, in a joint operation with Dehradun Police, have detained six people who helped in the killing of Sidhu Moosewala by cordoning off the Shimla bypass Naya Gaon outpost.All six detained persons are being questioned by Punjab Police.Confirming the same, Uttarakhand Director General of Police Ashok Kumar told ANI that he has been told by the Uttarakhand STF that some of the detained people have been taken by the Punjab Police for questioning. Six persons were travelling to Punjab from Hemkund Sahib Yatra in a vehicle which was intercepted by Uttarakhand STF and local police following a tip-off.According to the information, the person who helped the main accused in providing a vehicle and shelter has also been detained.Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on Sunday by unidentified assailants as he drove past the Jawaharke village of Mansa district.The gruesome incident took place two days after Punjab Police withdrew the security cover of 424 persons including him. Notably, the singer had joined the Congress party last year in December ahead of the assembly elections.Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for Moosewala's murder in a Facebook post on Sunday evening.Goldy Brar is a close aide of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also said to be involved in the singer's murder.Meanwhile, Punjab Police in their preliminary investigation linked the murder with an inter-gang rivalry.Punjab Police has registered an FIR against unknown persons after Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Mansa district.The FIR has been registered under sections 302, 307, and 341 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act at City-1 at Mansa Police Station.Additionally, Delhi Police Special Cell earlier today said that it will probe the role of those linked with gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, after Canada-based Brar claimed responsibility for the recent murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.Delhi Police said that it had been investigating Brar for allegedly planning several murders and attempts to murder from Canada.However, Punjab BJP blamed the Bhagwant Mann-led government for the singer's death and demanded an independent National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe. —ANI

Lucknow:&nbsp;In a major breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has arrested Vishnu Mishra, son of former MLA and muscleman Vijay Mishra, from Pune in Maharashtra, late on Sunday night.Vishnu was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh after being named in a gangrape case registered in Bhadohi district in 2020.A red corner notice was also issued against him, so that he could not escape abroad.Vishnu Mishra had been absconding for two years.The accused will be taken on a transit remand and brought to Uttar Pradesh.A STF release said that, "Cases are registered against Vishnu for grabbing a relative's firm and a gang rape in Bhadohi. In August 2020, a case was filed against Vishnu, his father and also his mother Ramlali Mishra, who is also a former MLC, for grabbing the firm and building of one Krishna Mohan Tiwari. In September 2020, a singer of Varanasi, filed a case against Vishnu, his father, and grandson Vikas Mishra for gang rape."On August 14, 2020, the police had arrested Vijay Mishra from Agar district of Madhya Pradesh, and he is currently lodged in Agra Jail while his wife Ramlali Mishra has taken bail from the High Court.Vijay Mishra has over 70 criminal cases registered in his name and 10 cases are being heard in MP/MLA court. The STF said that the accused associated with the media house is absconding. It further said that the investigation has been started in the case.STF SSP Ajay Singh said that the STF has sent information about this transaction to ten agencies including ED, Income Tax, IB and FBI of America.The SSP said, on July 21, the STF had raided the call centre on New Road, Dehradun from where 14 people were arrested and more than 300 people were interrogated.In the operation, Rs 1.26 crore had been recovered from the spot.Later, it came to light that calls were made to America and Canada from this call centre.From the call centre, a virus had been sent but was later fixed after extorting money.About 250 laptops and 85 computers had also been seized during the operation.&nbsp;—ANI

Dehradun: A Nigerian national was arrested by the Special Task Force of the Uttarakhand Police for duping a Ranikhet-resident of Rs 60 lakh after befriending him on Facebook, officials said on Wednesday.
Olive, resident of a village near Lagos, was arrested from Humayunpur under the Safdarjang Police station in Delhi, Senior Superintendent of Police, Uttarakhand STF, Ajai Singh told PTI.
The accused has been brought to Uttarakhand, he said.
The Nigerian national and his accomplices may have duped people from other states as well, Singh said.Some more arrests are likely to be made in connection with the case, he added.Two laptops, eight mobile phones, seven SIM cards, four wi-fi dongles/netshutters, 16 pen drives, one card reader, three memory cards, one bluetooth device and two passports have been recovered from the possession of the accused, the SSP said.

Dehradun: Taking stern action in the state Subordinate Services Selection Commission paper leak controversy, the Uttarakhand government removed the secretary of the commission, Santosh Badoni on Sunday.
According to the information received from the Secretariat, PCS officer Shalini Negi has been made the Controller of Examinations and Surender Rawat, Joint Secretary, Secretariat Services, has been made secretary in the commission.
After the disclosure of irregularities in the recruitment of various examinations of the Subordinate Commission, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had instructed for strict action, after which the Special Task Force has so far arrested 17 accused.
Earlier this month, Senior Superintendent of Police of STF, Uttarakhand, Ajay Singh said that it has arrested Gaurav Chauhan, Additional Private Secretary working in Public Works and Forest Department of state Secretariat in connection with the USSSC paper leak case.
Chauhan was summoned for questioning in connection with the matter on August 10 and was later arrested.
"The investigation in the UKSSSC paper leak case has now reached the Uttarakhand Secretariat after Printing Press Lucknow and Recruitment Commission," the SSP said. "On the basis of thorough interrogation of the accused and other students arrested earlier and in strong evidence, information was given from Manoj Joshi (court employee) and accused Tushar Chauhan regarding the exam question paper leak," he added. Singh further informed that the deal was struck by the accused with two candidates for Rs 15 lakhs each, out of which Rs 24 lakhs were obtained by the accused through the candidate after the results of the examination.
"The balance was paid to others before the examination. The above arrest has been made on the basis of interrogation and available evidence and electronic evidence," he said.
A Special Task Force (STF) had been constituted to investigate alleged irregularities, according to sources.
The Dehradun Police had registered a case against unidentified persons in the case of alleged rigging in the graduation level recruitment examination.
After the registration of the case, the Police Headquarters (PHQ) handed over the investigation of the matter to the STF. The probe was ordered by state director general of police Ashok Kumar on the directions of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
The UKSSSC conducted a written exam on December 4 and 5 last year (2021). This was the biggest examination of the commission for 854 posts, in which 13 categories of posts of different departments were to be filled. —ANI

Dehradun: Amid the ongoing action taken against those involved in the state Subordinate Services Selection Commission paper leak case, Special Task Force (STF) detained a suspected district Panchayat member in connection with the issue, informed officials on Saturday.
The suspect has been identified as Hakam Singh.
"Suspected District Panchayat member Hakam Singh has been detained by STF in connection with the Uttarakhand Subordinate Selection Commission exam paper leak case. He has been detained by the STF from Arakot on the Himachal border for questioning," said Ajay Singh, SSP, Uttarakhand STF.
Notably, the Uttarakhand government removed the secretary of the commission, Santosh Badoni on Sunday.

Dehradun: The Special Task force (STF), probing the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case, has asked the directors of RMS Techno Solutions, Lucknow, to appear before it for questioning.
Ajay Singh, SSP of STF, said that the directors of RMS Techno Solutions have been asked to appear for questioning today in Dehradun.
The STF has already arrested a staffer of RMS Techno Solutions Pvt Ltd, a prime accused in the case. Police officials said that the directors of the company would appear for questioning today or tomorrow. Eighteen persons have so far been arrested in the case relating to the leak of the recruitment exam conducted by UKSSSC in December last year.
A case was registered following instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami.
The STF has started tightening the noose on Lucknow-based printing press RMS Techno Solutions. Several officials, including the directors of the company, were earlier questioned in Lucknow. They have now been asked to come to Dehradun for further questioning. The STF is also examining inter-state angles in its probe.

Paper Leak Case: Senior Officials Of Private Company To Appear Before U'khand STF

Kolkata: The special task force (STF) of West Bengal police, late on Wednesday night, arrested two suspected terrorists having links with Al-Qaeda from Shashan village under Barasat block in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.
The two arrested are Raqib Sarkar and Kazi Ahshanullah. STF sources said that both were members of Al-Qaeda in Indian Sub-continent (AQIS), with Sarkar being the operation-in-charge of West Bengal.
STF sources said that they got information that Sarkar will come to meet Kazi Ahshanullah at the latter’s residence at Shashan late on Wednesday evening.
Accordingly, STF sleuths laid traps and finally nabbed Sarkar along with Ahshanullah as soon as they reached Shashan. The arrest of the two is being considered as a major success in the counter-terrorism activities in West Bengal.
It is learnt that there are several cases registered against Sarkar and Kazi Ahshanullah at different police stations in West Bengal. Both were wanted for a long time by STF for active involvement in insurgency activities.
Sarkar is a resident of Ganganagar Municipality area in South 24 Parganas district in North Bengal while Kazi Ahshanullah originally hails from Arambagh Municipality area in Hooghly district. The latter also owns a residence at Topsia area in Kolkata.
Sources said that a number of terrorism related books, propaganda pamphlets, diaries, computer hard-discs, pen-drives, multiple mobile phones and mobile SIM cards were received from their possession. STF sleuths will examine and analyse them with the help of experts and they believe that additional crucial information might be available about AQIS’s network in West Bengal from the documents seized.
During interrogation, both have confessed their active association with AQIS. The STF sleuths are currently interrogating them about their other associates in the terrorist chain or sleeper cell in West Bengal. Both will be presented at a lower court in Barasat on Thursday, where the STF will seek their custody for further interrogation.&nbsp;

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar said that the graduation-level examination, which was conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC), is being investigated by Special Task Force (STF).
Other than this, the investigation of the Secretariat Guard and Junior Assistant (Judicial) examinations held earlier has also been handed over to the STF.
Earlier, the Uttarakhand STF had sent a report of all the accused to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), following the disclosure of the unaccounted assets believed to be held by them.
Kumar further said that this gang was caught in the year 2020 in connection with charges registered in Haridwar and Pauri Garhwal districts. The STF has also been directed to re-examine these charges. The gang had used a Bluetooth device to cheat in the Forest Guard examination, according to the DGP.
The case pertains to a written exam conducted by UKSSSC in December 2021. This was one of the major examinations conducted by the commission for 854 posts across 13 departments.
After the allegations of irregularities, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami called for a probe, following which the secretary of the commission was removed from the post.
SSP Ajay Singh had earlier told about the possibility of crores of rupees being collected in this case. So, far Rs 83 lakh has been recovered from the case.
Since the case was handed over to the STF, 18 people have been arrested so far. These include some prominent names like district panchayat member Hakam Singh. He was arrested near the Mori area near the Himachal Pradesh border after he returned to the country from a trip abroad on August 7.
Gaurav Chauhan, an Additional Private Secretary working in the Public Works and Forest Department of State Secretariat, was also arrested in connection with the case. Dehradun: As an investigation is still underway into recruitments made by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, allegations of yet another recruitment scam in the Vidhan Sabha have rocked the hill state’s political firmament. Principal opposition Congress has alleged largescale irregularities in the recruitments held by the state assembly during Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggrawal’s tenure as Speaker. The allegation is that relatives and acquaintances of political leaders were given jobs in the state assembly during the period. A list of 74 recruitments made during Aggrawal’s tenure as Speaker has been doing the rounds on the internet.
In apparent retaliation, another list of 178 recruitments made during the previous tenure of senior Congress leader Govind Singh Kunjwal as Speaker has also gone viral. Amid the ongoing allegations, Aggrawal has said no irregularities had been committed in the recruitments made during his stint as Speaker.
“Recruitments as per requirements were made during my time, which is a routine thing. All norms were strictly followed and no irregularities were committed. Proper tests were held before the recruitments,” Aggrawal, who is a cabinet minister now, told reporters soon after the charges were levelled by the Congress against him. The Congress staged a dharna outside the Vidhan Sabha gates on Saturday, demanding action against those involved in the alleged scam. Kunjwal has also made a similar assertion, saying the recruitments made during his time have been upheld by both Uttarakhand High Court and the Supreme Court.
“Those who are raising fingers at the recruitments made during my time are guilty of contempt of court,” he said. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said he will ask the present Speaker, Ritu Khanduri, to conduct a probe into the allegations of irregularities in all recruitments, no matter during whose tenure they were committed. “The Vidhan Sabha is our constitutional body. I would request the Speaker of the Assembly to investigate the allegations of any irregularities in the recruitment, no matter during whose tenure they were committed,” Dhami told reporters here on Sunday.“We are in favour of investigations in any institution where there has been irregularity in recruitment and the state government will fully cooperate in it,” he said.
Asked about the development in probe against the UKSSSC, the chief minister said he has handed over its investigation to a Special Task Force (STF), which has so far arrested 25 accused and put them behind bars.
Those found guilty, however powerful they may be, will not be spared, Dhami said.
“It is a question related to the future of our sons and daughters. We are making a foolproof plan so that no one can even think of repeating this type of crime in future,” he said. —PTI

Dehradun: Several selected candidates in the graduation-level examination from the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the Secretariat, said the officials on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister said that the candidates who have passed the examination with utmost sincerity and hard work will not be allowed to be disappointed.
"Wherever complaints of irregularities are being received in the recruitment of Subordinate Services Selection Commission, we have ordered a strict inquiry. Some cases have been given to STF and some vigilance has been appointed. Not a single culprit will be spared," said CM Dhami.
Earlier on Sunday, CM Dhami confirmed a discussion with the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in connection with the irregularities reported in the Uttrakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case. "Since the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha is a constitutional body, I will speak to the Speaker of Legislative Assembly in regards to the reported irregularities," CM Dhami told ANI. He further added that the inquiry will be conducted into all the appointments made in Uttarkhand Vidhan Sabha, irrespective of the tenure.
"All the appointments, in past or present, wherever the discrepancies have been reported should have unbiased inquiries," he said mentioning that there should be a fair probe in the matter of the recruitments done this way. He has also assured the government's cooperation for further details and investigation in the UKSSSC paper leak case n 2021.
On August 23, Hakam Singh Rawat, the mastermind who was arrested in connection with the UKSSSC question paper leak was also accused of using the government resources for his personal use.
Rawat was arrested earlier this month for allegedly taking money from candidates for providing solved question papers in the graduate-level examination held on December 4 and 5 last year. It was alleged that Rawat, the Uttarkashi panchayat member had asked for a government helicopter to transport his ailing mother for her treatment.
It has also been alleged that his mother was treated at government expense by the Disaster Management Relief Fund.
Notably, Special Task Force (STF) detained Rawat in connection with the issue on August 13 from Arakot on the Himachal border for questioning.
The case pertains to a written exam conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSC) in December 2021. This was one of the major examinations conducted by the commission for 854 posts across 13 departments.
However, there were widespread allegations that there were irregularities in the conduct of the test. Following these allegations, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami called for a probe and a strict action against those guilty. Following this, the secretary of the commission was removed from the post. A Special Task Force (STF) was also constituted to investigate the alleged irregularities. Initially, the Dehradun police registered a case against the unidentified accused. After that, the Police Headquarters (PHQ) handed over the investigation to the STF.
Since then, 20 people have been arrested in the case. These include some prominent names like district panchayat member Hakam Singh. Singh was arrested near the Mori area near the Himachal Pradesh border after he returned to the country from a trip abroad on August 7.
Gaurav Chauhan, an Additional Private Secretary working in the Public Works and Forest Department of State Secretariat, was also arrested in connection with the case. Dehradun: The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested the brother of a private firm’s owner in connection with the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examinations paper leak scam.
Lucknow-based RMS TechnoSolutions Pvt Ltd’s was roped in by the UKSSSC to conduct the graduate-level recruitment examination whose question papers were leaked.
Sanjiv Kumar Chauhan, the brother of RMS TechnoSolutions Pvt Ltd’s owner Rajesh Chauhan, was arrested by the STF and produced in a local court from where he was sent to 14 days’ judicial custody on Tuesday, the state information department said.
He is charged with taking over 20 candidates from Udham Singh Nagar district to an apartment in Ghaziabad in connivance with another arrested accused Sandeep Sharma to help them solve the leaked question paper, the state information department said.
With the arrest of Sanjiv Kumar Chauhan, the total arrests made in connection with the paper leak case have risen to 39. Rajesh Chauhan was arrested some days ago. —PTI

Dehradun: A total of 18 accused have been charge-sheeted in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) case, while the judicial remand of 21 accused has been approved.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's government is continuously working towards making Uttarakhand a corruption-free state. In the campaign against corruption, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took tough decisions as soon as he received complaints about irregularities in the Group C recruitment examination in different departments conducted by the Subordinate Service Selection Commission.
As many as, 41 accused involved in the paper leak case in the UKSSSC recruitment examination have been arrested so far, on the other hand, one accused has been arrested in 03 Secretariat Guard recruitment in the Forest Inspector case. The STF has also arrested three such accused who have been involved in both UKSSSC and Secretariat Guard exam rigging, adding to the key links. Apart from this, two accused have also been arrested in the recruitment case of Gram Panchayat Development Officer in the year 2016
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government is working diligently in the interest of the youth with the resolve of good governance in the state. The government will not rest until each and every one of the guilty is punished.
Due to the strictness of the Chief Minister, the police have recovered 94.79 lakh cash in the UKSSSC exam recruitment case. In this case, more than two dozen bank accounts have been frozen, in which an amount of about thirty lakhs has been deposited.
In this whole matter, UKSSSC conducted the graduation level examination on 4th and 5th December 2021 in three shifts in which about 160000 candidates appeared and 916 candidates were selected.
Unemployed organizations and many students had met the Chief Minister and demanded an inquiry into the irregularities in this examination. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a case was registered on July 22 on the instructions of the Chief Minister. 41 accused have been arrested so far.
Apart from this, the investigation of the Secretariat Guard and Junior Assistant (Judicial) examinations was also handed over to the STF. In the year 2020, a detailed investigation was also handed over to the STF by the Uttarakhand Police for copying the gang through Bluetooth in the Forest Guard (Forest Guard) examination.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Dhami, on the one hand, the then Secretary of the Commission was suspended in this matter, while on the other hand, the proposal from the cabinet on 9 September regarding the transfer of the recruitment process to the State Public Service Commission (UKPSC) by UKSSSC for 7000 posts in motion.
Keeping in view the interest of the youth, as per the expectation of the Chief Minister, the Public Service Commission has prepared the calendar of Group C examinations. Along with this, a full proof plan has been prepared with a view to conducting the examinations in the election mode. —ANI

Gurugram: The Haryana Special Task Force (STF) Police have arrested the main accused for the murder of a person identified as Sukhbir Chauhan alias Sukhi, who was allegedly killed by his brother-in-law Chaman at the Gurudwara Road in Gurugram. According to the STF officials, the accused was nabbed on Thursday at Badshahpur. During interrogation, the accused disclosed before the STF that the victim Sukhbir had an affair with the former's sister Pushpa and the couple had subsequently married in 2008. Due to this, the accused developed an enmity with Sukhbir. "Chaman was an active member of Vikram aka Papla gang. He along with his aide hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Sukhbir. In this sequence, Chaman and his associate Rahul, Ankur, Deepak and Yogesh aka Seelu fired several times at Sukhbir and killed him," Varun Dahiya, an STF official, said. The police informed that nine cases of serious nature were registered against Chaman in Gurugram, Mahendragarh and Rajasthan. Sukhbir became the Vice President of the Sohna Market Committee in 2009. He was preparing to contest the Councillor election from Zilla Parishad ward-2.

Dehradun: On the direction of Director General of Police Ashok Kumar, Uttarakhand police is all set to start a one-month special campaign from October 1 to arrest wanted criminals.
"The aim of the campaign is to arrest wanted criminals in the state", said Kumar.
Ashok Kumar said, "Uttarakhand Police is committed to making the state crime and criminal free. This campaign is being run to curb criminals. The cooperation of STF will also be taken in the arrest of the accused. Those who do good work in the campaign will be rewarded and action will also be taken against those who are lax in their work".
The DGP said that all districts had been given special instructions to take maximum action in the campaign. In August, the Uttarakhand Police started "Operation Mukti", with the aim to effectively prevent children from begging and create awareness against it.
The operation will be run till September 30.
The theme of the campaign is "Don't beg, give education" and "Support to educate a child". Uttarakhand Police launched "Operation Mukti" in 2017 for the first time.
According to Uttarakhand Police, Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar took the initiative to motivate the economically weak, destitute children to move on the path of education by removing them from the path of begging. This mission was named "Operation Mukti". Since then this campaign is being run continuously. Under the campaign, a total of 1,430 children have been enrolled in schools/daycare homes by removing them from begging.
During the "Operation Mukti" campaign, the offences of sections 3 and 3A of the Child and Juvenile Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 2016 (Amendment), any kind of gang coming to light or any crime is found to be committed immediately related Acts and Sections, said police.
Further, if the actual charge or the role of the person controlling the child is found in getting the child begging, then according to section 76 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015. action will be taken as per the rules. —ANI

Noida: An Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) team has filed a charge-sheet according to which foreign nationals were carrying out anti-national activities from Noida district as their base.The police in its chargesheet also said that an Indian national identified as Ravi was also sending memory cards and printed circuit boards to China under the guise of a mobile scrap factory along with these foreign nationals from whom data was being recovered and used for propagating anti-national activities and duping people.&nbsp;Taking swift action in this case during the last two months, the STF team arrested nearly 15 people, which included seven from China, one Tibetan national and seven Indian nationals. All of the 15 accused had organised various criminal activities from Noida in Uttar Pradesh as their base.After receiving an input from the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), the STF started taking action and arrested several people by conducting raids at different locations in Delhi and Noida.The anti-national network was operating completely from China by a Chinese citizen identified as Xin Di. This Chinese national is a wanted criminal in Telangana and is still absconding for now. He used to operate the network of running online fraud, including running anti-national activities, through Chinese nationals in Noida with the help of the accused Ravi.Giving information about Ravi in its charge-sheet, the STF has said that the former was running an illegal mobile scrap factory in Noida. from where printed circuit boards and memory chips were being removed and sent to China through Hong Kong, along with which the accused also used to run a call centre in Noida.Through this call centre hundreds of Indian citizens were allegedly cheated in the name of giving loans, investing in businesses etc. The huge money earned from this call centre was being sent to China in the form of cryptocurrency.According to the information received, the accused had formed several shell companies, harming the revenue of the country through which the accused had done transactions worth nearly Rs 250 crore.This entire syndicate was exposed on June 11 when the SSB arrested two Chinese nationals without necessary documents. The accused duo told the police that they were living in a flat located in Noida's Sector 127 at Jaypee Greens housing society. The police then raided the flat and found Chinese citizens and several girls partying there. During this raid, the owner of the house Xu Fai escaped along with several other people. After this the police raided many more locations and gradually started arresting the members of an organised gang.The police later arrested the absconding Xu Fai and Ravi who made several shocking revelations to the former. The police recovered various machines from the accused duo through which they used to make and force other people to make international phone calls.In addition, these machine could fit a 32-slot SIM card tray, four boards and 32 circuit connections. According to STF police, this machine was being used against money security.The police have revealed in its charge-sheet that 40 employees used to work in the mobile scrap factory, who were being paid nearly Rs 10 lakh per month. The accused were sending ICs, memory chips to China from defective mobile phones from which the data was being extracted and stored. Haridwar: The Uttarakhand Special Task Force on Saturday conducted raids in a factory of fake medicines in Dada Jalalpur village under the Bhagwanpur Police Station area in Haridwar district.
SSP STF Ajay Singh said that they recovered a large number of spurious drug-making machines, three spurious medicine boxes, 3160 medicines, fake wrappers and raw material in the factory of spurious drugs from the house of Khalid Hussain.
He said two persons, Sarwan Kumar and Ravi Mishra, have been arrested.
The main accused Khalid and his wife Shama Ansari are absconding. The police official said the place has been sealed by the Drug Inspector and SDM Roorkee.
For the past several days, Uttarakhand STF were working on the leads in the case. In the past too, under Operation Health, a dozen arrests and millions of counterfeit drugs along with illegal factories have been exposed. —ANI
