The Union Minister of Steel, Shri Ram Chandra Prasad Singh has reviewed the status of the Diamond Mining Project, Panna today during the visit and advised to be operation ready for a quick ramp up and restoration of normal operations once the approval from Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and other relevant approvals are received.

New Delhi (The Hawk) : The NMDC and Hyderabad Runners Society along with IDFC First Bank and Government of Telangana launched the logo and unveiled the race t-shirt for the 2022 edition of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon yesterday. The national mining major, NMDC has taken up the Title Sponsorship of the Hyderabad Marathon to be held on 27th and 28th August this year. The Face of NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2022 - Ms Nikhat Zareen, World Champion Boxer virtually connected to the event. Shri Sumit Deb CMD, NMDC; Shri Naarayan TV, CMO, IDFC FIRST Bank; and Race Director Mr. Prashant Morparia were present during the launch ceremony and ensuing Press Meet.<img src="https://static.pib.gov.in/WriteReadData/userfiles/image/Photo-12july20223PYD.JPG">The NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2022 and curtain-raiser will run through the heart of the city anticipates 15,000 runners, health and fitness enthusiasts taking part, and will engage 3500 volunteers, 250 medical personnel, city officials and the police force. Marking the beginning of marathon season in India, a curtain raiser - 5K Fun Run will be held on Saturday, August 27th and the 10K, Half Marathon (21.095 km) and Full Marathon (42.195 km) will take place on August 28th 2022, the Marathon Sunday.&nbsp;Connecting to the event via Video Conference, Ms Nikhat Zareen said “I am happy to be associated with the 11th Edition of NMDC Hyderabad Marathon supported by Hyderabad Runners. New Delhi (The Hawk): Mining major NMDC and RailTel Corporation of India have entered into an agreement covering ICT and Digital Transformation Services of NMDC, both at its Corporate Offices and Mining Complexes.
An MoU to this effect was signed by Shri H Sundaram Prabhu, GM (C&amp;amp;IT), NMDC and Shri Manohar Raja, Executive Director, RailTel in the presence of CMD,NMDC, Shri Sumit Deb at NMDC’s headquarters in Hyderabad on Monday.

CMD, NMDC Shri Sumit Deb said   that  this  partnership will focus on optimal utilization of resources and build mineral accountability, paving the way for a robust digital transformation in the mining sector. As India’s leading miner, NMDC has been an early adopter of automation and digitalization. Our collaboration with RailTel will accelerate this journey that we are already on .
Director (Finance) ,NMDC, Shri Amitava Mukherjee said that RailTel will provide Consultancy, Project Management and Execution services that will enhance efficiency and transparency. It is a huge step forward to keep NMDC in the top league.
This MoU builds on the partnership that NMDC already has with the National Railway Telecom which has been providing MPLS VPN at 11 of NMDC’s locations, and Internet Leased Lines (ILL) at 7 locations and High-Definition Video Conferencing solutions since 7 years&nbsp;

Hyderabad (The Hawk): NMDC releases Standard Bidding Document for Turnkey Works today at its Head Office in Hyderabad. The mining major has ambitious and capital intensive Projects lined up and this Standard Bidding Document will ensure greater efficiency in awarding, executing and monitoring contracts.
NMDC has reviewed its existing Standard Bidding Document and updated it with best practices adopted across the industry. The Standard Bidding Document makes Project Management and Monitoring, Scheduling of Work, Price Evaluation, Payment Advice, Flagging of Issues and Dispute Resolution simpler and easier, thereby enhancing ease of doing business with NMDC.
The CPSE has prepared a comprehensive and all-encompassing document that would serve as a model for all its turnkey projects. Enabling geo-tagging of milestones, this initiative will boost the digital environment at NMDC.
Commenting on the release, Shri Sumit Deb, CMD, NMDC said, "The Standard Bidding Document will help NMDC retain and comply with 4 axioms of Public Procurement - Transparency, Equity, Fairness, and Competitiveness. With this kind of document in place, NMDC will become a global entity that the world will aspire to work with."
"The initiative to release the Standard Bidding Document comes at a crucial business point for NMDC. It will reduce the preparation time of tender documents and enhance confidence and comfort levels of the bidders" said Shri Dilip Kumar Mohanty, Director (Production), NMDC. Speaking about the document, Shri Somnath Nandi, Director (Technical) said, "The Standard Bidding Document will ease our exercise for tenders and contracts and also improve efficiency and decision-making process in the organization. This approach will reduce time in awarding contracts and is to be followed judiciously."
