Fatehpur: A 55-year-old woman and her teenage granddaughter died here in the district's Khaga town on Monday when they came under a mound while digging soil at a pond.Jaiprakash Shahi, Khaga Police Station SHO, said that Parvati was digging soil at a pond for some household use with her granddaughter Shalini, 12, and grandson Abhishek, 10, when suddenly all three came under a mound.Parvati and Shalini died on the spot, while Abhishek got minor injuries, he said.The SHO said that the bodies of the deceased have been sent for a post mortem examination.—PTI

New Delhi (The Hawk): Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, claimed on Saturday that the BJP has turned Delhi into a rubbish dump and the centre of stray animals during its 15 years of control over the Municipal Corporation.
"During its 15 years in office in the MCD, the BJP made Delhi the capital of stray animals and waste piles. People will pick Arvind Kejriwal this time to lead the MCD and make Delhi pristine and lovely "In a tweet, he asserted.
Sisodia added that no matter how hard the BJP tries to thwart "Dilli ki Yogshala," they will be unable to do it. In a following tweet, @ArvindKejriwal ji claimed that yoga had now reached the poorest of the poor as a result of his efforts to make it a people's movement.
"Kejriwal ji is unwavering in his commitment to using yoga to improve Delhi's health. The BJP will not be able to stop the Yogshala of Delhi no matter how many plots it hatches "In the same tweet, Sisodia also stated.
Aam Aadmi Party celebrity campaigners staged roadshows in each of Delhi's 250 wards on the final day of the MCD campaign. The party candidates mobilised the public by holding Padyatras and walking across 500 different neighbourhoods of the capital to campaign.
AAP attempted to reach every resident of Delhi with 14,862 jansamvaads, nukkad sabhas, door-to-door canvassing, padyatras, nukkad nataks, dance for democracy, and magic shows.

Kaushambi: A 40-year-old woman was killed and three others were taken ill as a mound of earth they were digging for household work collapsed on them in this Uttar Pradesh district, police said on Saturday.
The incident occurred within the Kokhraj police station limits, they added.
Natthi Devi (40) and three other women hailing from Kasia Pashchim village had gone to fetch mud from outside the village on Friday for painting a house when the mound they were digging collapsed on them, Kokhraj Station House Officer (SHO) Vinod Kumar Maurya said.
The villagers present nearby rushed to the spot and informed the police, who with the help of the villagers pulled all four out of the debris, but by then Natthi Devi (40) had died, the officer said.
The three other women have been admitted to a private hospital where they are undergoing treatment. —PTI&nbsp;
