Mumbai, Feb 27 (IANS) Hollywood actress Sarah Michelle Gellar penned an emotional note remembering her late co-star Michelle Trachtenberg, saying she feels “lucky” to have shared over three decades of memories with her.
Taking to Instagram, Gellar shared a string of throwback images with the late star and reflected on her long association with Trachtenberg. She said she still finds it hard to believe that a year has passed.
“I'm not sure how it's been a year. I'm one of the lucky ones who has over 30 years of memories with you,” she wrote.
The actress recalled meeting Trachtenberg on the sets of All My Children and watching her grow both personally and professionally. She fondly remembered how, in less than a year of working together, Trachtenberg had already grown taller than her.
“From our first day on set together, to less than a year later, when you were already taller than me. But I first worked with on All My Children. I watched you become a star with Harriet. You were great to my kids. Countless kids bdays you attended even though I'm sure you had somewhere cooler to be.”
She added: “But most of all, when I think of you, that smile that took up your entire face and brought so much joy to others is what comes to mind. You may not have been with us long enough, but we will make sure everyone remembers.”
Trachtenberg died at her New York City apartment on February 26, 2025, at the age of 39. The toxicology results declared her primary cause of death as complications of diabetes. She had found success on the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She was seen in the film EuroTrip and the series Gossip Girl to name a few.
