New Delhi:&nbsp;Bollywood director Yogesh Ishwar Dhabuwala was robbed by two unidentified men in the national capital's Connaught Place area, it was officially learnt on Wednesday.The incident took place around 10.30 p.m. on Monday."I was standing at the edge of a street and was about to book a cab, when two men on motorcycle, wearing helmets, snatched my mobile phone," he said, as per the FIR of the incident, accessed by IANS.In his complaint, Dhabuwala further requested the police to carry out a prompt investigation into the incident, as his mobile phone contains very crucial data."I can neither identify the motorcycle maker nor the snatchers. I need this mobile phone as I have to return to Mumbai," Dhabuwala told the police in his complaint.Accordingly, based on his complaint, the police registered an FIR under Sections 346 (Assault or criminal force in attempt to commit theft of property carried by a person), 379 (Punishment for theft, and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.—IANS

Lucknow (The Hawk): At gunpoint, three masked criminals robbed a physically challenged utensil seller and his mother at their home in Napier Colony near the Thakurganj police station.
Teams of police officers were investigating the situation and searching for any video of the criminals.
Police believe a nearby citizen may have assisted the robbers in carrying out the crime by acting as an informant.
The trader Ashwini Rastogi, 45, of the Napier Road Colony was at home because his store in Aminabad was closed on Thursday, according to the police spokesman.
Rajkumari, his 75-year-old mother, was at home when Ashwini left to perform puja at the temple. While Ashwini's father passed away in 2019, his wife died in 2016.
"The thugs entered the house while wearing masks over their faces, taking advantage of Rajkumari's alone to hold her at gunpoint. A short while later, Ashwini went home. When he did, the thieves held him at knifepoint and with a revolver. With a rope knotted over their necks, they dragged Ashwini and his mother into a room. The criminals stole the money and valuables from the almirah, according to the police, and then they ran away.
The victim then spoke with his brother-in-law and reported the event to the police.
"When we shouted out for aid, they beat both of us. All of our jewellery and roughly Rs 3 lakh in cash were stolen, according to Ashwini.

Ahmedabad (The Hawk): Two armed men robbed an employee of an angadia pedhi (Gujarat's traditional courier system) of Rs 20 lakh in broad daylight in the eastern section of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, according to police.
The police have created teams and begun the search for the thieves.
Bhadresh Patel works for R. Ashok kumar &amp; Co., an angadia pedhi located in the Bapunagar diamond market.
In his statement to the Ahmedabad police on Monday, Patel stated that as he was heading to the workplace, he received a call from his customer Hitesh Patel instructing him to collect Rs 20 lakh in cash from his home.
Bhadresh further stated that Hitesh gave him Rs 20 lakh in cash and 500 currency notes of Rs 2000 value.
Bhadresh rode his scooter to his office after collecting the payment.
As Bhadresh ascended the stairs, a someone approached him and attempted to steal the cash-filled bag from him. As he faced the 35- to 40-year-old armed with a pistol-like weapon and attempting to flee on Bhadresh's bicycle, he drew his own firearm.
As Bhadresh sought assistance, bystanders attempted to block the road, but the thieves shot fire in the air and fled.
A case has been filed under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code for robbery, abettor, and the Arms Act. Inspector of Police S.N. Patel is investigating the case.

New Delhi News: A man was stabbed and robbed by three people in Delhi after he refused to help the perpetrators steal a scooty, a senior police official said on Tuesday.

The injured was identified as Sameer, a resident of Azad Market.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Monday at around 7.20 a.m.

"The three accused, Ishan, Aamaan, and Anas, who Sameer claims to have known, approached him and asked for his help in stealing the scooty. When Sameer refused, he was taken to a nearby tea stall where the accused allegedly threatened him," said the official.

According to Sameer's statement, Ishan took out a button knife and robbed him of Rs 2,350, and also took away his Aadhaar card, PAN card and mobile phone.

"Ishan also allegedly stabbed Sameer multiple times, leaving him with several cut wounds. The victim raised an alarm, following which the accused fled the scene," the official said, adding that a case has been registered and investigation is underway to nab the three absconding accused. IANS

Patna: The police reported on Saturday that a gold merchant was robbed at gunpoint in Jagdishpur village, Buxar district, Bihar, of cash and jewellery valued at Rs one lakh.
The merchant was coming home on his bike late on a Friday night after closing his shop when he was accosted by the suspects and robbed.
The accused had their faces covered with towels, as described by the victim.
