New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar had interviewed Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2019, perhaps for the first time that the country’s premier was sitting down for such a question and answer session. Ahead of the release of his period drama&nbsp;Samrat Prithviraj, the actor, recalling his 2019 interview with Modi for which he received both bouquets and brickbats, said he had refrained from putting forward policy questions to the PM as it would have looked "fake". "I asked him questions straight from my heart, things that I wanted to know, just like a common man would ask. Things like why our PM wears his watch upside down? I just wanted to know it (the manner in which PM Modi ate mangoes). Otherwise, what difference would there be between me and others? I would not go and question him about policies. That is not my job. If I had done so, it would have looked fake. I just wanted to ask him simple and straight questions. We just talked and I cracked jokes," Akshay said in an interview to ANI. The&nbsp;Toilet: Ek Prem Katha&nbsp;actor recalled that he was taken aback when he got the opportunity to interview the prime minister. In a candid conversation with the actor, Modi had dwelt on little known details about himself, like disclosing what his favourite fruit was, his preparation for the first UN speech and so on."I was taken aback, I did not know that I would get a chance to do that and I was honoured to sit and talk with him. I was a little bit nervous but after I began conversing, he made me not feel nervous and then everything just flowed. I was just enjoying talking to him," Akshay added.The actor said PM Modi's ability to "mould himself" was a great thing that helped the actor during the interview."I think the best part about our prime minister is he knows how to mould himself. If he is talking to me, he will mould himself towards me... If he is talking to children, he will (mould himself) according to their age. I think the ability to mould himself is a great thing in him."The actor had missed out on attending the 75th edition of Cannes Film Festival held in France recently after he tested positive for Covid-19. Chennai (The Hawk): According to S. Somanath, chairman of India's leading space agency and Secretary, Space, Government of India, the coming year will be important for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in particular and for the space industry.
The Indian space agency is considering a number of significant space missions, including the Chandrayaan-3 Moon Mission, test flights and unmanned rocket flights for the Gaganyaan human space mission, the launch of the Aditya L1 satellite or the Sun Mission, the joint Indo-US NISAR satellite launch, the launch of 36 OneWeb satellites for a fee, the second flight of its small rocket, the development of new rocket architecture, and others.
In addition, a legislation governing the industry is anticipated to be passed by the central government next year, and the private actors will also prepare their satellites and rockets.
"The ISRO will investigate how to create better systems. The space agency will concentrate on creating more affordable new generation rockets. The organisation will build a new rocket architecture "Somanath stated in an interview with IANS.
According to the general trend, the ISRO will also consider establishing a constellation of satellites for imaging.
Somanath asserts that the Space Policy must first be established before the Space Bill. With numerous Ministries, the draught Bill is currently being discussed.
He mentioned the space missions to IANS, mentioning the launch of 36 satellites for the UK-based OneWeb. LVM3 rocket from ISRO will launch the satellites (formerly Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle-Mk3).
The launch in June or July is crucial for the coveted Chandrayaan-3 mission, which is also planned for 2023. Next year, ISRO intends to launch NavIC and attempt a second navigation satellite, according to Somanath.
He stated that the ISRO intends to launch its satellite Aditya-L1, a coronagraphy spacecraft to investigate the solar atmosphere, to the sun with a PSLV rocket next year.
The spacecraft will be positioned in a halo orbit, or L1, which is the first Lagrange point in the Sun-Earth system, according to the ISRO.
The main benefit of orbiting a satellite near the L1 point is that it can observe the Sun continually without being obscured by clouds or eclipses.
Next year, ISRO intends to test-fly two rockets and conduct an unmanned rocket mission as part of Gaganyaan.
Somanath stated that the satellite will launch next year to the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) Mission, an Indo-US collaboration.
In January or February of the next year, "the NISAR satellite is anticipated to be flagged off from the US to India," Somanath said.
He claims that the ISRO intends to launch several of its brand-new Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV) rockets in 2019.
For the second SSLV rocket launch, the space agency must build a satellite. In 2022, the first mission that took place was unsuccessful.
According to Somanath, there have been a lot of inquiries about using SSLV and increasing output is being considered.
The semi-cryogenic engine that the ISRO plans to use to power the rockets will reportedly undergo testing in 2023.
"To launch one NavIC satellite in February of next year, we are attempting to obtain approval from the Indian government. We're also keeping an eye on the long-term strategy. To replace the current NavIC satellites, five more are being built. For civilian use, the five satellites will have a new frequency. Additionally, communication security has been strengthened for use by the strategic sectors "added Somanath.
As the air force helicopter was not available in 2022 to lift and release the same from the appropriate height, ISRO would test land its reusable launch vehicle (RLV) in 2023.

Haldwani: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday announced to scrap the interviews for all the Group C examinations in the state.
The announcement by CM Dhami came during the 'Aabhar Rally' in Haldwani's Ram Leela Maidan. The rally was organised by the the BJP's youth wing, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, to
congratulate Dhami and his government for the implementation of anti-copying law in
the state.
Dhami said, "In 2008, the government had scrapped the practice of interview in Group C, however, it was not fully implemented. Our government has decided to scrap it fully in Group C, including both technical and non-technical posts."
Besides, CM Dhami also announced a set structure of marking in interviews in the examinations for higher posts. "None of the candidates will be given less than 40 per cent or more than 70 per cent of marks in the interviews."
Dhami added that the board will have to explain in case it give more than 70% marks to the candidates.
At the rally, Dhami lauded the Anti-Copying law besides a set of other public welfare policies introduced by the ruling BJP, including PM KISAN and PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
Addressing the rally, he lashed out at the Congress for demanding a CBI probe into the recruitment scam saying that the "Opposition always cried foul over the CBI's intervention, what has happened now, and how suddenly they fell in the CBI Prem (Love)?"
He also made a reference to Bharat Jodo Yatra and said the Congress tried hard to regain their lost political ground, however, failed.
He said, "In place of Bharat Jodo Yatra the Congress should have organized 'Bharat Samjho Yatra," to understand the country better. —ANI

<h4>When did you start your journey as an educator and how many years have you dedicated to this industry?&nbsp;</h4>
I have started my journey as an educator in 1995 as Assistant Professor in Linguistic and Phonetics in AKPPG College Hapur and since then I am teaching various subjects like English literature, Communicative English to the students of courses like, B.Tech., MBA, MCA, BAFT, etc. More than 26 years have been invested in educating the students and to guide them in improving their communicative English, Design project skills, soft skills, HR marketing, etc.&nbsp;
<h4> What was your vision and motivation behind heading VIFT? </h4>
I take VIFT as an opportunity as well as a challenge to me. As while working in Engineering college as Assistant Professor, I had developed a taste for graphic design. I have an inborn talent for creative analysis and VIFT is an opportunity to apply this ability for making students employable and skilled for design industry. Initially it was very difficult but I believe following dream passionately, that makes my journey smooth. My vision is to take VIFT at par with National Institution in terms of skills development. Higher rate of students success is the motivating factor to me. At VIFT, we are preparing the skilled fashion technologists, graphic designers, artists and journalists through the courses of BFAD,BFA, BJMC,DFD and ADFD.
<h4> What is the scope of fashion and design related careers for the students?</h4>
 Careers in the fields related to designing, fashion technology and journalism are available in large numbers to the skilled professionals. They are highly in demand and the career scope in this area is increasing day by day. All the people are now much sensitive towards creative designs in all type of products. Products created by fashion designers and graphic designers are searched by people and organisations. The use of social media has increased the scope of journalism too. VIFT is developing skilled and creative professionals and helping them for their placements.
<h4> Who has been your inspiration during this journey?&nbsp;</h4>
 Several people have influenced my personality but the main source of my inspiration include Sri Ratan Tata ji, Narayana Murthy ji, and Sudha Narayana Murthy, who taught me not to stop until you achieve.&nbsp;
<h4> What are the bigger challenges you face during your journey? How did you overcome these obstacles?&nbsp;</h4>
 The greatest challenge is to deal with 18 years plus students who came with high vision and get distracted with so many antisocial activities and peer pressure. My focus remains to get them educated not only theoretically but practically with employable skills. It is difficult but now it is resolved as I have developed a lot of industry connect to bridge the gap between academics and industry. We provide all sorts of help and support and training to prepare and place our students well in the industries.
 
<h4>Describe one instance that led to step in the education sector. </h4>
I remember when I was a child may be of 8 or 9 years of age while other cousins of mine play other games and I used to dress up as a teacher and take the class to my younger siblings and neighbourhood children (very old memories) and got appreciation for my teaching skills even in childhood, I am born to be an educator only.&nbsp;
<h4> What are the ways in which your institute has reached out and connected with its neighbouring community?&nbsp;</h4>
 VIFT organise various outreach programmes to serve the society in a better manner. Various CSR activities are organised in neighbouring locations and villages. Publicity by mouth publicity of our past and existing students, our training and placement records and proper and effective use of website and social media have found useful in reaching out and connecting with community.&nbsp;

<h4> What are your expectations from the colleagues in your Institute and how do you help them to work towards achieving the organisation’s vision? </h4>

I am happy to share that my team in VIFT is a well-knit team working sincerely to achieve the goals set by the management. We understand that teamwork is important to achieve organisational vision. I always explain my colleagues the meaning of team is together everybody achieve the maximum. Hence, I do SWOT analysis and allot work to each of them and give them a lot of freedom to work then analyse their work evaluate and appreciate their work. I think this is how a leadership work. We organise skill enhancement programmes for our colleagues regularly. Both our chairman Mr PK Jain and Executive Director-Mr Vishal Jain are visionary and quite supportive.
<h4> How would you encourage developing leadership capacity in your students?&nbsp;</h4>
 I always share with my students that if they are a good learners only then they could be good workers and then effective leaders. Until and unless you know your work you cannot lead the world. Through different activities/workshops/interactive sessions, we are developing the leadership skills, creativity, problem solving, decision making and Critical Thinking among our students.&nbsp;&nbsp;
<h4> What are the values you wish to inculcate in your student?&nbsp;</h4>
 We at VIFT always believe in honesty which is the best policy. Through different activities, we are inculcating values of creativity, hard work, integrity, responsibility, sportsmanship, self-direction, love, truth, peace, and rightfulness.&nbsp;
<h4> What is your opinion about the present-day educational system in our country?&nbsp;</h4>
 The present-day education system requires a lot of issues to be addressed for the development of young minds. Luckily, NEP 2020 has been launched by Govt of India in higher learning institutes which will produce skilled manpower and professionals making our country self-reliant in almost all fields. I am sure that the problems occurring in the present education system will be eliminated and we will be able to make our country proud through the education system blended with modern education system and our ancient rich culture.
<h4> What are the changes in the behaviour of a student after post Coved pandemic? How are dealing with such situations? </h4>
This is something really very relevant question in current scenario as post Covid pandemic left young brain exposed to many exposures in technologies. These are good to certain extent but made them addictive, consequently they are facing a lot of psychological, medical and behaviour issues. These issues are needed to be handled sensibly and scientifically. We at VIFT are organising counselling sessions for the learners to make them physically fit and mentally alert.&nbsp;

She was awarded Ph.D. degree in 2002 by CCS University, Meerut. London: The legendary British rock band Rolling Stones have announced their first new album in over 18 years, titled ‘Hackney Diamonds’.
This marks the first time the band will be releasing a brand new LP with original material.
In a live conversation with late-night host Jimmy Fallon, the British group --comprised of lead vocalist Mick Jagger, guitarist Ronnie Wood, writer and guitarist Keith Richards and drummer Steve Jordan -- announced ‘Hackney Diamonds’ will come out October 20, Aceshowbiz reported.
The album will be a 12-track, LP is their first studio set of new material since 2005's ‘A Bigger Bang’. In addition, the band also unveiled the first single from their album, ‘Angry’, which is accompanied by a music video starring ‘Euphoria’ actress Sydney Sweeney and directed by Francois Rousselet.
Wood said they began brainstorming ideas for an album around Christmas last year, and gave themselves a deadline to complete it by Valentine's Day. They ended up with 23 songs spanning two albums. The upcoming album was completed in January and mixed in February.
The band confirmed that their late drummer and one of their original members Charlie Watts -- who died from cancer aged 80 in August 2021 -- features on two tracks, with replacement Steve Jordan playing on the other 10.
On the song ‘Live By The Sword’, they are backed by both Charlie and former bassist Bill Wyman, reuniting the original rhythm section of The Rolling Stones. The second song featuring Charlie is ‘Mess It Up’.
Discussing how Charlie's absence affected the band, guitarist Keith, 79, said: "Ever since Charlie's gone it's different, of course, he's number four, he's missing. Of course he's missed, incredibly. But thanks to Charlie Watts we have Steve Jordan -- who was Charlie's recommendation should anything happen to him, Steve Jordan is your man. It would have been a lot harder without Charlie's blessing."
Addressing Charlie's musical contribution, Mick, 80, added, "There's 12 tracks on the album. Most are with Steve, but two are tracks we recorded in 2019 with Charlie. We used two of the tracks that we recorded with Charlie before. Bill played on one track, so we have the original Rolling Stones rhythm section on one track."
In addition, Lady Gaga also appears on the album, singing a duet with Mick Jagger on the song ‘Sweet Sound Of Heaven’. Other guest artistes who will participate in the album include Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder.
The Stone’s frontman went on to say that the band members are very proud of the record and wouldn't have released it unless they loved it themselves.
Mick Jaeger said: "I don't want to be big headed but we wouldn't have put this album out if we hadn't really liked it. We said we had to make a record. We really love ourselves. We are quite pleased with it, we are not big headed about it, but we hope you all like it."
Rolling Stones are not only of the most iconic rock bands of all time from the 1960’s and ‘70s, where they are frequently put in the list alongside The Beatles, The Doors, AC/DC, KISS, Rainbow, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Black Sabbath and many more; they are also one of the best selling artistes of all time, having sold over 250-300 million albums worldwide. The best part of the collaboration with Russia and America is that we are no longer the lesser cousins. We are now equal partners and, in many ways, more than equal. For example, in the Space sector, we are lending our services to America and Russia...we have already earned more than $170 million and more than 250 million Euros. We now do $8 billion (Rs 66,000 crore) of Space business. But at the pace we are rising, India could go up to $40 billion (Rs 3.3 lakh crore) by 2040, while a recent international report, the ADL report, states that we could even go up to $100 billion," he said. Across the world, the entire growth from now onwards is going to be largely technology driven, said Dr Jitendra Singh and added, this was evident from the fact that during PM Modi's recent US visit, most of the bilateral agreements were based on science and innovation. Dr Jitendra Singh said, India’s first human Space flight mission ‘Gaganyaan’ is the next big project before ISRO. “Work is going on feverishly in its various laboratories across the country to realise ISRO's most ambitious mission yet: putting three Indian astronauts into orbit by indigenously building a 'human-rated' rocket launcher and crew module to fly them into space and bring them safely back to Earth,” he said. Three Indian Air Force pilots are undergoing rigorous training for being rocketed into space at 10 times the speed of sound and then living in zero gravity conditions.  Only three nations, - the US, Russia and China - have sent up their own manned missions to Space so far. Dr Jitendra Singh termed PM Modi’s decision in 2020 to open the space sector for private industry to manufacture rockets and satellites, instead of just ISRO, as a “game changer.” “Time and again one thing is proven, there is no dearth of talent in India. We have talent, we have calibre and competence.... For too long, we unnecessarily had a veil of secrecy and confined ourselves to ISRO,” he said. “Apart from Aditya-L1, Gaganyaan and Venus orbiter, we are going to have a huge number of launches from the private sector. This also happened after the Prime Minister took the courageous decision to completely open up the Space sector to private players. As a result, there is a quantum jump in our space missions,” he added. Dr Jitendra Singh said the process of synergy is happening, and in just three years, we have more than 150 private Startups in the Space sector. The demarcation between the public and private sectors is being dismantled and it will be a totally integrated approach, he said. “It is very progressive thinking because from now onwards, if we have to move ahead, we have to move ahead wholesomely and holistically. We cannot depend on government resources alone. If we have to visualise a global role for ourselves, then we have to live up to global parameters with a global strategy. That is what Americans are doing; NASA is no longer depending on government resources,” he said. Dr Jitendra Singh said the ‘Anusandhan National Research Foundation’ (NRF), set up by an Act passed during the last Monsoon session of Parliament, aims at equitable funding and democratisation of resources in research and academics.. “Now, in addition to the private industry investment, we have this whole ecosystem that includes the legislation, which allocates Rs 50,000 crore to be spent, with Rs 36,000 crore coming from the non-governmental sector,” he said. —IANS

New Delhi: Actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, who plays the love interest of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s transgender character of Harika in crime drama ‘Haddi’, spoke about his role, and said that the basic idea was to communicate the concept of true love between people irrespective of gender.
Directed by Akshat Ajay Sharma, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Anurag Kashyap, and Zeeshan in the lead. Nawaz plays the character of Haddi/Harika, while Zeeshan is seen as Irfan.
Talking to IANS, Zeeshan spoke on the mental and physical toll such characters take on the actors.&nbsp;
“I don’t think there is any such toll on you. Some things of the character remain with you. There is always a give and take. It's not a very intense but nice and tender character. And we had to achieve that softness. A tenderness should remain in their relationship,” he said.
“Romance should not be a special romance, it is just romance. Koi bhi kisi se bhi pyaar karta hoga, kisi bhi sex k person se, jo jiski preference ho, bas pyaar hai, pure hai. That was the basic idea and that should be communicated. So we worked around it,” shared the ‘Tandav’ fame actor.
Did he had any apprehensions regarding the role?
“There were no apprehensions, but it was an exciting part. It took time to say yes but it was for different reasons. It took around two months, there were date issues. Finally everything was resolved and it happened,” Zeeshan said.

New Delhi: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared a personal anecdote, talking about his surname, and revealed what he had filled in the section of ‘caste’ during the last census.
In the episode 26 of the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ season 15, host Amitabh welcomed Madhurima to the hot seat.
Talking about the contestant, the actor said: “Madhurima from Ranchi, Jharkhand is here with us. She’s a section officer in the forest, environment, and climate change department. Madhurima, I do not know your full name.”
Replying to Big B, she said: “Sir, my name is Madhurima. I have stuck to the name Madhurima only. Sir, generally, we see that the father’s name is the surname. After marriage, your surname is changed to your husband’s last name.”
“Or a woman’s name has the suffix ‘devi’. You don’t get the respect a ‘devi (goddess) deserves. It is very rare. I wasn’t in favour of the suffix ‘devi’. I thought I’d add a surname directly after I got married. When I got married, my husband asked me if I wanted to adopt his surname. I told him that my name was enough! I do not need it, you see,” she shared.
The ‘Piku’ fame actor lauded Madhurima, saying, “That’s wonderful. You have such lovely views, Madhurima. They exude such strength. You told us about the tradition you just started. I wish to congratulate you on it.”
The 80-year-old actor then went on to say: “I have done that with my name many times too. My father (Harivansh Rai Bachchan) was not a man who favoured caste system.”
“In India, a person’s surname represents his caste. My father hailed from a Kayasth family. He adopted his pen name as a poet, which was Bachchan, as his surname. That became his name,” said Big B.
He said: “After I grew up, I had to be enrolled in school. At the school, my parents were asked my surname. As written in my father’s autobiography. I have mentioned this on many occasions as well. My father and mother looked at each other and wondered what to do. My mother said, ‘He should take on your surname.’ That’s how I came to be Amitabh Bachchan”.
The ‘Mard’ actor said: “Your views are commendable. Questions are raised over one’s surname and caste.”
To this, Madhurima replied: “I agree, sir. People form groups. They make separate groups even at workplaces.”
The actor said: “I’m sure you’re aware of the census. It’s a long list of people’s names, ages, height and weight There’s another section for caste. I did not fill that up. and I was asked what my caste was. I said I was Indian.”

The star appeared in the Apple TV Plus action movie opposite 'Blonde' actress Ana de Armas, playing a man who is ditched by his love interest who turns out to be a secret agent, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The film, however, was deemed a critical failure after receiving a slew of negative reviews and Chris has now admitted the film could have been done differently.
In an interview with GQ magazine, Evans believed to have been given prior to the SAG-AFTRA actors union strike.
He said: " 'Ghosted' to me felt like a movie that I grew up on, a movie that maybe we don’t see very much anymore. And the question is whether or not audiences have outgrown those types of films?"
He added: "I didn't think audiences had outgrown it prior, and I still don’t think they have, despite the fact, I mean, technically I think we did okay on, in terms of viewership. Critics didn't like it.”
“But that's more the fault of the movie as opposed to the appetite of the audience. I think the appetite's there, if it’s done properly. We could have been better."
During the interview he also reflected on his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, comparing being a part of 'The Avengers' movies to playing in a Super Bowl game.
He continued: "You kind of feel like you were just lucky enough to go along for the ride. It's like winning the Super Bowl, but you weren't Tom Brady. I mean, you were on the team. As much as 70% of its funding will come from non-governmental sources. Dr Jitendra Singh said, one of the greatest revolutions that has been brought in by PM Modi is the National Education Policy, NEP-2020. Any ship that gets commissioned, in the first year of completion, there is a guarantee of docking. That is the liability of the shipyard that it has to go through. Currently, Vikrant is undergoing the guarantee docking." "In the first year, we completed the initial operational clearance of the carrier with all of the carriers. So now it is progressing well and it should get completed by the end of November, once that is done she will become operational," he added. When questioned what is the follow-on of the INS Vikrant, one of the biggest symbols of Make in India, the Naval Chief said, "We are moving a case for the follow-on of this Vikrant. Over a period of time, in building Vikrant, considerable expertise and skill have been developed in the Cochin Shipyard, because it isn't easy to build an aircraft carrier." "That expertise in both maintaining the carrier as well as to be used for the building of another aircraft carrier needs to be harnessed in good time, so therefore we have moved a case for a third aircraft carrier as a repeat order of the Vikrant which is in process as of now," he said. On being asked about the launch of the unique cash card by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh yesterday, the Admiral Hari Kumar replied, "It is a singular achievement for the Navy in keeping up with the Prime Minister's vision of a cashless India, or a digital economy." "You must be aware that on a ship, there are a lot of transactions that happen, whether you pay for buying an item, canteen, laundry, mess bill. So when you're doing that, you are paying with cash. This card system will enable you to make all these transactions through the card," he said. "This is important in the navy because on board a ship there is no internet available. This is a unique card that helps you make transactions without any internet. You can preload it before you leave, while then all those transactions keep happening and when you come back in port, all your payments are regulated," Admiral Hari Kumar added. "The cash card is of great utility and can be used in aircraft, remote areas and villages where there are no internet services," said the Naval Chief.

"I do a lot of meditation and breath work, mostly during sauna and ice bath routines," he added. "For me, my favorite mindfulness work comes from the immersion in physical actives that allow me to be fully present and force me out of me head and into my body, in particular surfing." In a conversation with longevity physician Dr. Peter Attia, the actor learned that he is eight to 10 times more likely than the average individual to develop Alzheimer's disease. "We've got every blood test one can get," Attia tells Hemsworth in the show. "And you've got two copies of APOE4. A set from your mom and a set from your dad." APOE4 is the gene that has the strongest correlation to the development of Alzheimer's disease; however, not much is known about it. At the time, Attia told the Australian actor, "It's my belief that if we take every step possible, we can reduce your risk to that of anyone else." Since then, Hemsworth has been making his health a top priority.

I wanted the whole 1983 team to be there with me, but I guess because it’s such a big event and people are so busy handling responsibilities, sometimes they forget,” Kapil Dev told the news channel.  Kapil Dev’s Indian team defeated West Indies in the final to lift the ODI World Cup trophy for the first time way back in 1983.  Earlier, a few media reports suggested that the BCCI might felicitate the previous World Cup-winning skippers. Your comment?  Limor: It is a complicated issue. The past shows us that Hamas is taking resources from the civilians in Gaza to support their terror activities.  IANS: Do you feel that the highlight is only on the IDF invasion and the death of Palestinians? Is there a deliberate attempt to cover the Hamas massacre of October 7?  Limor: The highlight should be the war crimes and humanitarian crimes of Hamas. Our children must come back home.
