Hans started the game brightly and it looked like the proceedings were evenly poised. However, SSC quickly took control of the match through Aleena's opener. The lead was doubled by a precise finish by Jyoti who came close to scoring the third as well. Just as the first half was coming to an end, SSC scored two quickfire goals to take a commanding four-goal lead. Sharda scored a fabulous free-kick for the third while Sanfida scored seconds before the referee's whistle to make it 4-0 in favour of her team. As for Hans Women FC, they had only one attempt on goal from Muskan Khan.The second half saw Hans fire on all cylinders once again. They pushed for their opening goal of the match with an aim to reduce the deficit. Asha Thapa had room to take a shot five minutes past the hour mark. The attacker, however, sent her shot into the stands, failing to hit the target. What difference do you find being shifted politically from Delhi to Punjab?A:&nbsp;It's my good fortune that the party has considered me for the Rajya Sabha from Punjab, the state from which my family and I come from. There are several issues in which Union Government can be of significant assistance to Punjab. And, that has been my endeavour for the first few days and will be for the next six years to raise the issue of Punjab... Punjab de haq di ladai ladenge (will fight for the rights of Punjab). So with that in mind, I am starting a new journey as a Member of Parliament and I am truly honoured that Bhagwant Man sahab and Kejriwal sahab have selected me for this position. And, it's a great opportunity to serve my motherland.Q: So, it means you have shifted to Punjab politically from Delhi?A: Well, there is a part of Punjab that lives in us irrespective of wherever we are physically located. That part of Punjab has been in me since the day I was born. My family hails from this state and we are Punjabi and its luck would have it, I have now been with the intervention of almighty God made to shift as far as my Karambhumi is concerned from Delhi to Punjab. Punjab which was my Matrbhumi has also become my Karambhumi now.Q: Punjab has different problems - you will be working closely with Chief Minister. How are you going to handle the basic problems of drugs and corruption in the state?A: Punjab has been systematically exploited by the previous regimes... there has been outright loot and plunder of all resources of the state. Punjab has been used as personal wealth of those who are ruling the state. Today Punjab is facing various problems like irregular supply of electricity, lack of coal, pipe water supply not reaching to every household. Healthcare and transport are in pathetic condition in state, the challenge of drugs and law and order is huge, and above all what makes matter worse is that Punjab has the highest rate of unemployment... so it is really plagued with so many problems because the previous regimes have not really been interested in governance but have only been interested in filling their own coffers. With right political intention and honesty, we are going to resolve all issues one by one.Q: If talking about freebies, the cabinet has approved 300 units of electricity which was a manifesto promise also. But how do you see the 'Revdi Culture' that sparked the spat between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal?&nbsp;A: Delhi CM Kejriwal has answered the question on 'Revdi Culture' very well. And just to borrow from what he said, these are not Revdis, these are bricks that you are placing to build a self-reliant and developed nation. These Revdis are the bedrock of a safety net that must exist with each individual in the country. Aam Aadmi Party does not believe in buying the aircraft for the Chief Minister fir Rs 5,000-7,000 crore, like the Chief Minister of Gujarat and other Chief Ministers have done in past. We believe in giving this money back to the people. I don't understand how a minister and MP can get 4,000 unit of free electricity every month and those are not being treated as Revdis. But, if Kejriwal and Mann government gives basic level of electricity to each household, they are is being considered as Revdis. It is very unfortunate... this is not Revdi, as I said, these are bricks to build a foundation of a developed nation.Q: Do you think that Punjab can bear this despite financial stress?A: There is no doubt that Punjab is in a very bad financial state. When you are outside the government, you use to claim that the debt on the state government is about Rs 2 lakh crore, however if we were to combine the debt over all corporations and etc, you know that the debt actually runs close to Rs 4 lakh crore. So, financially Punjab is in a bad condition. However, there is an enough legroom for a determined and honest government to come out with welfare policies and provide basic safety net for the citizens of the state. And, the basic safety net comprises of lifelines - water, electricity, transport, education, and healthcare.Q: AAP is foraying into Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal and other states and you are not aligning with any opposition parties. Though in Presidential poll, you have gone with opposition, but you are just trying to be equidistant to both the BJP and the Congress. Why so?A: The only party today posing challenges to BJP is the AAP. We may not be as big as Congress in size, but perhaps AAP is the only challenge before the BJP today. And, Arvind Kejriwal is the only challenge to Prime Minister Modi today and this is something which BJP also realises.Q: But, you are ruining Congress, not BJP. Why so?A: We are not here to aid, advise and promote Congress or any other party. Look, the AAP's birth was against the regime that comprises BJP, Congress and other political parties. And, we have our own path, our own trajectory to follow. We are nor dependent and compelled to follow anybody's load. Secondly, Congress does not have the appetite to take on the BJP. They don't have the requisite fire in the belly, but Arvind Kejriwal has that fire in the belly to take on the BJP. Therefore, the AAP is the only alternative that can defeat the BJP. Congress can no more be challenge for the BJP.Q: Is there any possibility that in 2024, AAP and Congress can come together under an umbrella alliance with other opposition party?A: I am nobody to comment on what would be going to happen in 2024. We will see it in 2023 or in 2024. However, I fundamentally believe that these web of grand alliances can not defeat the BJP. You need a new idea and new brand of politics to defeat them. This theoretical exercise of getting the number together and the arithmetic that all opposition parties try to bring all parties together is a failed idea. It is something which should not be pursued at all. If you really wish to defeat the BJP, you need a new idea and new brand of politics. Today, the symbol of new brand and idea of politics is Arvind Kejriwal.Q: There has been allegations also that Arvind Kejriwal is like the 'Super Chief Minister of Punjab and you have been aiding him. So what is your response on that?A: This is dirty propaganda of the opposition. Such ridiculous claims even don't merit a response. The state of Punjab voted for two people - Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann. The state of Punjab wants that both these people should make Punjab prosperous and 'khushal' again. All, I can say is that the opposition should try to find fault in the governance and in the policies, and not getting into these petty irrelevant, inconsequential figment of their imagination.Q: You have been on the forefront of attacking the corruption. How do you see the present politics Satyendar Jain is in judicial custody, Mamta Banerjee in Bengal facing such situation and Congress is also facing the same situation?A: Corruption is one thing, but this blatant misuse of state instrumentalities, abuse of organisations like the ED, the CBI to serve the BJP's political purposes has today crossed all limits. It is so brazen that if you have to pull out the records of the ED, you would find that in the last five years, they have not registered even a single non political case. There has not been a single political conviction. The whole idea of the BJP is to book people under fabricated charges, file the case and blackmail them. I strongly condemn that.Q: BJP has brute majority in the Lower House, but in Upper House, they don't have majority. It was a vital breakthrough for the Aussies, with Zimbabwe cruising at the time at 104/2 in the 25th over and seemingly well placed to post a big score. Green then completed the job for the hosts, picking up his maiden five-wicket haul in international cricket.
The hosts were able to chase down the victory target within 33.3 overs, with Warner leading the way and Smith and Glenn Maxwell (32 not out) completing the job.
It helped Australia pick up a valuable 10 points in the Super League standings as they improve their chances of directly qualifying for next year's World Cup in India. Sydney (The Hawk): At the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), Pakistan dominated New Zealand by seven wickets in the opening semifinal on Wednesday, advancing to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 final.
After achieving this victory, Pakistan will face the winner of the second semifinal between India and England on November 13 at the MCG.
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, New Zealand recovered from early setbacks to register 152-4 in 20 overs thanks to a valiant fifty from Daryl Mitchell and a crucial performance from Kane Williamson. Other key efforts with the bat for New Zealand included Devon Conway (21 off 20) and James Neesham (16 not out off 12), in addition to Mitchell (53 not out off 35) and Kane Williamson (46 off 42).
Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam gave Pakistan a strong start by scoring 55/0 in the first six overs, their highest powerplay of the tournament with the bat, while they were attempting to chase down a modest mark.
Devon Conway fired Skipper Babar, and he made New Zealand pay. In the early stages of the innings, he and Mohammad Rizwan expertly handled Trent Boult's and Tim Southee's overs.
While Babar took his time before facing the New Zealand bowlers, Rizwan took the initiative with his aggressive approach and was scoring boundaries. Pakistan continued to hit boundaries at free even after the powerplay, reaching 87/0 after 10 overs.
After that, Babar (53 off 42) picked up the pace and outperformed his opening partner to score fifty. However, he was unable to extend his innings after that because Boult returned to the attack and ended the 105-run opening stand with the wicket of Babar.
Later, Rizwan (57 off 43) too hit a fifty in 36 balls, but like Babar, he was dismissed by Boult in the 17th over because he couldn't bat out the innings. Before being dismissed in the second-to-last over, youngster Mohammad Haris played a crucial knock of 30 off 26 to move Pakistan closer to the victory.
In the end, Pakistan successfully chased down the total in 19.1 overs with seven wickets in hand thanks to Shan Masood (3 not out), who scored the winning runs. The wicket-takers for New Zealand were Mitchell Santner (1/26) and Trent Boult (2/33)
Earlier, in the opening over, New Zealand lost the wicket of Finn Allen (4). Allen smashed Shaheen Afridi for a boundary with the opening ball of the over, but Pakistan quickly made a breakthrough when the left-arm bowler trapped him in front of the wicket with the third delivery.
After Devon Conway and skipper Kane Williamson joined each other in the middle, the Black Caps innings advanced thanks to their efficient strike-rotation and numerous boundary hits.
Conway (21 off 20) was the more aggressive of the two, and after spending enough time in the middle, he appeared ready to take on the Pakistani bowlers. However, Shadab struck the left-handed batsman with a direct shot at the non-end, striker's leaving New Zealand at 38-2 after six overs.
The man who has been leading New Zealand in form, Glenn Phillips, demonstrated his aggressive intent by striking a boundary, but he was unable to extend his innings as spinner Mohammad Nawaz got rid of him on the final ball of his first over.
After eight overs, New Zealand was in trouble at 49/3 and needed a partnership to save them. Williamson and Daryl Mitchell, who hadn't played well in the competition thus far, worked together to save their squad.
After 10 overs, Mitchell and Williamson took some time to get going, and the scoring pace for New Zealand didn't look promising. However, they came together at the drinks break and scored 28 runs off the following 13 balls to boost their confidence. The pair chose their scoring opportunities, pushed the ball into the open spaces, and consistently scored twos to keep the Kiwis' scoreboard ticking. For their fifty-stand, Mitchell smashed leg-spinner Shadab for a six.
In order to lead the recovery and lay the groundwork for a strong finish for the Kiwis, Williamson and Mitchell stitched an important 68-run stand for the fourth wicket. However, Afridi had other ideas. Williamson scooted across to scoop the slower Afridi delivery, but was bowled in the process.
After that, Mitchell kept up his fighting knock and eventually reached fifty. In the final few overs, he and Neesham both made valiant attempts to smash huge blows, but Pakistan's bowlers were well-behaved enough to restrict New Zealand to a chaseable goal of 152-4 in 20 overs on an old pitch.
With his 2/24, Shaheen Afridi was Pakistan's most effective bowler, and Mohammad Nawaz (1/12) was the other wicket-taker.

Cody Gakpo scored near the end of the game, and Davy Klaassen scored in extra time as the Netherlands beat Senegal 2-0 in their first World Cup match in Group A at Al Thumama Stadium.
The two teams had trouble breaking the tie until the end of the game. The Dutch had several chances to score, but none of them worked.
"It was a tough game, and we didn't handle the ball well... I think we can do a lot better, but it's clear that the win makes us feel good. We were looking for a goal, and we found it in the end "Gakpo said this after the game.

The World Cup hosts recovered from an early scare when Craig Goodwin gave the Socceroos a startling lead in the ninth minute, but goals by Rabiot (27th), Giroud (32nd and 74th minutes), and Mbappe (68th minute) made it possible for manager Didier Deschamps' team to earn all three points.
After drawing 0-0 with Tunisia earlier in the day at Education City Stadium, Denmark will play France on November 26 before wrapping out their group matches against Tunisia on November 30.
On the other side, Australia's final group game is against Denmark four days after their play against Tunisia in the next round.
An early goal had given the Australians hope of a victory this time around after France narrowly defeated them 2-1 in the group stage of the last World Cup thanks to an own goal and a penalty.
However, Mbappe and co. rose to the occasion to launch their campaign to defend the title in style, so that was not to be.
Karim Benzema, the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner, had to withdraw from the competition after ripping a muscle in practise, so Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann took over calling the shots on the field.
Given its embarrassing wealth, France did not notice much of a difference when players like Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante, who were both a part of the winning 2018 World Cup side but were unable to travel to Qatar, were absent.
Early in the game, the Socceroos silenced the French fans with a spectacular goal as Craig Goodwin slammed the ball into the net from the back post following a sweeping, magnificent attacking move in the ninth minute.
The European juggernauts displayed class by making a strong comeback to rip apart the opposition's defence. They scored twice in the final five minutes of the half to make it 2-1 at the interval.
France's first goal in the tournament was scored by midfielder Rabiot, and Giroud added a second goal five minutes later to put his team ahead.
Three minutes into the second half, France added two more goals to make it 4-1.

Kolkata: Just two days before the crucial bypoll to the Dhupguri Assembly seat in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district, the ruling Trinamool Congress received a jolt as the party's former MLA from the same constituency shifted her camp to the BJP on Sunday.  Mitali Roy, the former party MLA from Dhupguri from 2016 to 2021, also contested on behalf of the ruling party in the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections from the same constituency. However in 2021 she was defeated by BJP's Bishnu Pada Roy, who died recently necessitating the bypoll.  Party insiders said that she was expecting a re-nomination for the September 5 bypoll. But the ruling party instead of re-nominating her, fielded Nirmal Chandra Roy, a professor at the Dhupguri Girls College, for the seat.  Giving her reaction to media persons immediately after joining BJP, Roy said that she was virtually isolated within Trinamool Congress since her defeat in the 2021 polls. “BJP leadership has accepted me in the party with the due respect that I deserve and hence now I want to work for the common people of Dhupguri,” she said.  Welcoming her to the party, the state BJP president and the party Lok Sabha member Sukanta Majumdar said that despite being an active and popular face in Dhupguri, Mitali Roy was not able to work for the people while staying in Trinamool Congress. “We welcome her to the party. She will now be of great help in strengthening our organisational network not just in Dhupguri but in the entire Jalpaiguri district,” he said.  The chief of BJP’s Information Technology cell and the party’s special observer for West Bengal Amit Malviya also issued an X (formerly Twitter) message welcoming Roy in the party.  “In another sure sign, that Mamata Banerjee is losing control, Mitali Roy, former TMC MLA from Dhupguri, who also contested the 2021 Assembly election, on TMC’s ticket, joins the BJP, ahead of the by-poll. There is a reason Mamata Banerjee is not being taken seriously in the Opposition alliance. The political ground in her home state has slipped…” his message read.  However, Trinamool Congress’ state vice-president Jaiprakash Majumdar did not give much importance to the development. “Mitali Roy joined BJP just to fulfil her political ambitions. This will not affect us anyway,” he said.

He also said that they had worked hard in the tournament.

I just thought that I should go and meet you people," PM Modi said inside India's dressing room. PM Modi also hailed Indian speedster Mohammed Shami and said that he had done well at the ODI World Cup 2023. "Well done Shami. You played really well this time," PM Modi on Shami. Modi also asked the team to 'stick together' in this difficult time following their six-wicket loss against Australia in the finals. While concluding, the Prime Minister cordially invited the squad to Delhi and asked them to meet again. "You guys have worked really hard and played exceptionally well. Just stick together and keep on motivating each other. Also, whenever you are free and are in Delhi then let's meet again. You all are cordially invited from my side," he concluded.  During PM Modi's visit to the dressing room, he interacted with every Indian player and encouraged them. Coming to the match, India bundled out on a score of 240 in 50 overs. On a tough batting surface, skipper Rohit Sharma (47 in 31 balls, with four boundaries and three sixes), Virat Kohli (54 in 63 balls, with four boundaries) and KL Rahul (66 in 107 balls, with one four) posted important knocks. Mitchell Starc (3/55) was the pick of the bowlers for Australia. Early counting trends in Mizoram on Monday showed the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) edging towards victory with majority. As per the latest data available with the poll body, the ZPM was seen leading in 28 assembly constituencies, while the Mizo National Front (MNF) was leading in 7 seats.  The Indian National Congress (INC) is leading in one seat and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in three seats. The counting of votes in elections to the 40-member Mizoram assembly began Monday morning at 8 a.m. Four major contenders are in fray in the northeastern state, which voted to elect its 40-member legislative assembly on November 7. These include the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF), the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM), the Congress and the BJP. Mizoram's political landscape has been dominated by the Congress and the Mizo National Front (MNF) since it attained full statehood in 1987. The President of the MNF and Chief Minister, Zoramthanga, stands out as one of the most prominent figures in this election.The elections to the 40-member Mizoram assembly were held on November 7, with the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) facing a stout challenge from the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM), Congress, and the BJP.  ZPM is positioning itself as the primary challenger in this election, has nominated their party vice president, Lalthansanga, as a contender against the three-time Chief Minister.
