Dehradun: Senior Superintendent of Police of Special Task Force Uttarakhand, Ajay Singh has said that it has arrested Gaurav Chauhan, Additional Private Secretary working in Public Works and Forest Department of state Secretariat in connection with the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission paper leak case.
Chauhan was summoned for questioning in connection with the matter yesterday and was later arrested.
A total of 15 people have been arrested in the case so far.
"The investigation in the UKSSSC paper leak case has now reached the Uttarakhand Secretariat after Printing Press Lucknow and Recruitment Commission," the SSP said.
"On the basis of thorough interrogation of the accused and other students arrested earlier and in strong evidence, information was given from Manoj Joshi (court employee) and accused Tushar Chauhan regarding the exam question paper leak," he added.
Singh further informed that the deal was struck by the accused with two candidates for Rs 15 lakhs each, out of which Rs 24 lakhs were obtained by the accused through the candidate after the results of the examination.
"The balance was paid to others before the examination. The above arrest has been made on the basis of interrogation and available evidence and electronic evidence," he said. A Special Task Force (STF) had been constituted to investigate alleged irregularities, according to sources.
The Dehradun Police had registered a case against unidentified persons in the case of alleged rigging in the graduation level recruitment examination.
After the registration of the case, the Police Headquarters (PHQ) handed over the investigation of the matter to the STF. The probe was ordered by state director general of police Ashok Kumar on the directions of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The UKSSSC conducted a written exam on December 4 and 5 last year (2021). This was the biggest examination of the commission for 854 posts, in which 13 categories of posts of different departments were to be filled. —ANI

Dehradun: As the investigation in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case deepens, the state police informed that twenty people have been arrested in the case.
Ajay Singh, SSP of Special Task Force Uttarakhand, said that on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday another arrest was made. So far, twenty people have been arrested in this case, he said.
The Police official said that after a long intensive interrogation by STF Uttarakhand, Junior Engineer Lalit Raj Sharma, resident of Dhampur, was arrested and will be produced in the court today.
He further said that the STF got success in breaking the important link between the copying mafia of Uttar Pradesh with the mastermind Hakam.
He added that more than two dozen students had solved the questions of the leaked paper the night before the examination at the flat located in Dhampur of Lalit Raj Sharma.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) may soon begin a probe in to the UKSSSC paper leak case, according to a senior official.
This comes after the Uttarakhand STF sent a report of all the accused to the ED, following the disclosure of the unaccounted assets believed to be held by them.

"Since the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha is a constitutional body, I will speak to the Speaker of Legislative Assembly in regards to the reported irregularities," CM Dhami told ANI. He further added that the inquiry will be conducted into all the appointments made in Uttarkhand Vidhan Sabha, irrespective of the tenure.
"All the appointments, in past or present, wherever the discrepancies have been reported should have unbiased inquiries," he said mentioning that there should be a fair probe in the matter of the recruitments done this way. He has also assured the government's cooperation for further details and investigation in the UKSSSC paper leak case n 2021.
On August 23, Hakam Singh Rawat, the mastermind who was arrested in connection with the UKSSSC question paper leak was also accused of using the government resources for his personal use.
Rawat was arrested earlier this month for allegedly taking money from candidates for providing solved question papers in the graduate-level examination held on December 4 and 5 last year. It was alleged that Rawat, the Uttarkashi panchayat member had asked for a government helicopter to transport his ailing mother for her treatment. It has also been alleged that his mother was treated at government expense by the Disaster Management Relief Fund.
Notably, Special Task Force (STF) detained Rawat in connection with the issue on August 13 from Arakot on the Himachal border for questioning.

Principal opposition Congress has alleged largescale irregularities in the recruitments held by the state assembly during Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggrawal’s tenure as Speaker. The allegation is that relatives and acquaintances of political leaders were given jobs in the state assembly during the period. A list of 74 recruitments made during Aggrawal’s tenure as Speaker has been doing the rounds on the internet.
In apparent retaliation, another list of 178 recruitments made during the previous tenure of senior Congress leader Govind Singh Kunjwal as Speaker has also gone viral. Amid the ongoing allegations, Aggrawal has said no irregularities had been committed in the recruitments made during his stint as Speaker.
“Recruitments as per requirements were made during my time, which is a routine thing. All norms were strictly followed and no irregularities were committed. Proper tests were held before the recruitments,” Aggrawal, who is a cabinet minister now, told reporters soon after the charges were levelled by the Congress against him. The Congress staged a dharna outside the Vidhan Sabha gates on Saturday, demanding action against those involved in the alleged scam. Kunjwal has also made a similar assertion, saying the recruitments made during his time have been upheld by both Uttarakhand High Court and the Supreme Court.
“Those who are raising fingers at the recruitments made during my time are guilty of contempt of court,” he said. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said he will ask the present Speaker, Ritu Khanduri, to conduct a probe into the allegations of irregularities in all recruitments, no matter during whose tenure they were committed. “The Vidhan Sabha is our constitutional body. I would request the Speaker of the Assembly to investigate the allegations of any irregularities in the recruitment, no matter during whose tenure they were committed,” Dhami told reporters here on Sunday.“We are in favour of investigations in any institution where there has been irregularity in recruitment and the state government will fully cooperate in it,” he said.
Asked about the development in probe against the UKSSSC, the chief minister said he has handed over its investigation to a Special Task Force (STF), which has so far arrested 25 accused and put them behind bars.
Those found guilty, however powerful they may be, will not be spared, Dhami said.
“It is a question related to the future of our sons and daughters. We are making a foolproof plan so that no one can even think of repeating this type of crime in future,” he said. —PTI

Dehradun: Amid the row over appointments in Uttarakhand Assembly Secretariat, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday urged Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan to conduct a high-level inquiry into the matter.
In his letter to Ritu Khanduri, Dhami urged to cancel these appointments if irregularities were found.
The Chief Minister has also urged to make provision for fair and transparent appointments in the Assembly Secretariat in future.
Dhami said the state government is taking steps to thoroughly investigate the irregularities done in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission and take action against the culprits.
Meanwhile, the Uttarkhand Special Task Force on Thursday informed that one police constable was arrested in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case.
The police constable Vinod Joshi was arrested on the basis of the evidence available.
"During the investigation of the case related to the UKSSSC question paper leak case, on the basis of the statements and evidence of the accused and witnesses arrested earlier, today accused Vinod Joshi resident of Sitarganj Udham Singh Nagar was arrested on the basis of evidence," said Ajay Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, STF Uttarkhand.
He further said that the accused Vinod Joshi is currently posted in Uttarakhand Police in the Udham Singh Nagar district while Manoj Joshi, brother of the accused was in the post of Junior Assistant and was arrested earlier. Joshi is currently in judicial custody.
The SSP further said that the accused Vinod Joshi, along with his brother, was provided with a house in Kundeshwari a night before the examination to several candidates in VDO/VPDO recruitment where the question paper was solved at night by other accused.
Along with this, he has been arrested on the evidence of taking several examinees from one place to another in his car.

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) on Friday issued a show-cause notice to a company involved in a paper leak scam asking it to explain why it should not be blacklisted.Two employees of RMS Techno Solutions Pvt Ltd -- Jayjeet Das and Abhishek Verma -- are among more than two dozen people arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) in connection with the paper leak scam which is under probe."The ongoing probe in the case reflects involvement of your company which conducted the examinations and whose papers were leaked," the notice issued by UKSSSC Secretary Surendra Singh Rawat said.The two examinations conducted by the firm were -- graduate-level examinations held on December 4 and 5 and secretariat security guards examinations held on December 26 last year.The UKSSSC said the company"s role in the scam falls in the category of "serious crime" and asked it to furnish a reply within a week explaining why legal action should not be taken against it and why it should not be blacklisted. —PTI

Dehradun: Uttarakhand government on Saturday ordered a vigilance inquiry against six people including top officials in the alleged irregularities in Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examination.
According to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), after the consent of the CM Pushkar orders for vigilance inquiry was issued against six people including former secretary of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, Santosh Badoni, former controller of examination Narayan Singh Dangi, three section officers of the commission and the owner of RMS company. Vigilance will register a case against them soon.
After the question was raised on several examinations of the selection commission, the government had sought a report from the STF on the role of the commission officials in this matter, in which it came to light that the contract of the exam conducting company RMS Technosolutions ended in October 2019 itself. Despite this, not only the work was taken from the company but the payment was also made. The STF also clarified the role of the officers responsible for this.
On the basis of this report, after taking approval from the CM, the Vigilance Department has issued orders for vigilance inquiry against six people, including the then Secretary of the Commission, the Controller of Examinations.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dhami on Wednesday said that there should not be any delay in the examinations of the aspirants.
The Chief Minister said that a proposal to ensure the recruitment process from the Service Commission will soon be placed before the cabinet.
"There should be no delay in the examinations of our brothers and sisters, as well as their hope of employment should not turn into despair, for this, pending examinations are organized on the basis of the qualifications of the Subordinate Selection Commission. A proposal will soon be placed before the cabinet regarding ensuring the recruitment process from the Service Commission or other institutions," he said.
"At present, the recruitment process was to be started on 12,000 posts, in which 7,000 posts of Group C were to be recruited through the Subordinate Selection Commission," Dhami added. Mentioning the irregularities in the SSSC recruitment, he said that the case is under investigation and a high-level committee has been constituted.
"The irregularities found in the cases of recruitment made by the Subordinate Services Selection Commission are being investigated, as well as a high-level committee has been formed in connection with the investigation of the appointments made by the Speaker in the Vidhan Sabha has been constituted," he said.
The Chief Minister assured of taking strict action against the culprits in the case, while also announcing a campaign to fill the vacant posts with a "transparent recruitment process" soon.
Dhami said that the Director General of Police has also been directed to conduct an online forest inspector recruitment inquiry. The investigation of the said case was handed over to the STF by the DGP. The Chief Minister affirmed his government's commitment to not compromise on the policy of Zero Tolerance on Corruption and said "no guilty will be spared".
"Our government will not allow injustice to happen to the honest and hardworking youth of the state," he said.
The Chief Minister assured all the youth and citizens of the state that the state government will take strict action in all these matters as per their hopes and aspirations.
"This is a very serious matter for our state and it is a matter related to employment of all the youth of our state. Wherever complaints of irregularities are being received in the recruitment of the SSSC, we have ordered a strict inquiry. Proceedings are going on on all the matters, the result of which is coming in front of you all," he said. Khanduri, who has written a letter to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami opposing the state cabinet's decision, said if there is corruption in an institution, the state government should cleanse it and ensure that it functions properly. "The state public service commission has the mandate of conducting examinations for important administrative posts of gazetted rank only. Assigning it the responsibility of holding recruitment examinations for subordinate posts will only add to its burden,” he told PTI. The USPSC was assigned the task of conducting recruitment examinations for 23 subordinate grades recently as the role of the UKSSSC is currently under the lens of probe agencies in connection with the paper leak of a recruitment examination held by the commission in December 2021. —PTI

Dehradun: Chairman of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) Dr Rakesh Kumar on Monday said that the Commission will issue its examination calendar within a week.
"The responsibility of conducting 23 UKSSSC examinations has been entrusted to UKPSC in the light of which various further actions have been taken by the Commission on a war footing," Dr Kumar said.
Notably, the Uttarakhand Cabinet on Friday passed a resolution regarding the transfer of the ongoing recruitment process for about 7,000 posts by the Uttarakhand State Subordinate Services Selection Commission (SSSC) to the State Public Service Commission (SPSC). "The situation was reviewed in the convened meeting of the UKPSC and UKSSSC officers and it was brainstormed that the above 23 examinations along with them should be speeded up without disrupting the examinations being conducted by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission to be executed in a parallel manner," he further said.
He also informed about the examination calendar and said that it will be issued within a week.
"In the month of October-November this year, the release of 3-4 important examinations will be issued on a priority basis and the conduct of 3-4 examinations will be ensured in the month of December 2022 and January 2023," he said.
The Chairman of the Public Service Commission said that after examining the examination courses, recruitment rules, advertisements etc. of the respective recruitments, action will be ensured so that any legal hurdles can be avoided in future.
"With a view to maintaining the full confidence of the general public and candidates in respect of a dignified constitutional institution like UKPSC, a Public Grievance Redressal Cell (PGRC) has been established in the Commission for the redressal of their queries or doubts, if any, etc. Its detailed description (contact number, email and social media handle etc.) etc. will be issued separately," he added.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday ordered a vigilance inquiry against six people including top officials in the alleged irregularities in Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examination.
According to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), after the consent of CM Pushkar orders for vigilance inquiry was issued against six people including former secretary of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, Santosh Badoni, former controller of examination Narayan Singh Dangi, three section officers of the commission and the owner of RMS company. Vigilance will register a case against them soon.
After the question was raised on several examinations of the selection commission, the government had sought a report from the STF on the role of the commission officials in this matter, in which it came to light that the contract of the exam conducting company RMS Technosolutions ended in October 2019 itself. Despite this, not only the work was taken from the company but the payment was also made. The STF also clarified the role of the officers responsible for this. On the basis of this report, after taking approval from the CM, the Vigilance Department has issued orders for vigilance inquiry against six people, including the then Secretary of the Commission, and the Controller of Examinations.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dehradun: The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested the brother of a private firm’s owner in connection with the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examinations paper leak scam.
Lucknow-based RMS TechnoSolutions Pvt Ltd’s was roped in by the UKSSSC to conduct the graduate-level recruitment examination whose question papers were leaked.
Sanjiv Kumar Chauhan, the brother of RMS TechnoSolutions Pvt Ltd’s owner Rajesh Chauhan, was arrested by the STF and produced in a local court from where he was sent to 14 days’ judicial custody on Tuesday, the state information department said.
He is charged with taking over 20 candidates from Udham Singh Nagar district to an apartment in Ghaziabad in connivance with another arrested accused Sandeep Sharma to help them solve the leaked question paper, the state information department said.
With the arrest of Sanjiv Kumar Chauhan, the total arrests made in connection with the paper leak case have risen to 39. Rajesh Chauhan was arrested some days ago. —PTI

UKSSSC Paper Leak Case: STF Arrests Brother Of Lucknow-Based Private Firm’s Owner

Dehradun: A total of 18 accused have been charge-sheeted in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) case, while the judicial remand of 21 accused has been approved.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's government is continuously working towards making Uttarakhand a corruption-free state. In the campaign against corruption, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took tough decisions as soon as he received complaints about irregularities in the Group C recruitment examination in different departments conducted by the Subordinate Service Selection Commission.
As many as, 41 accused involved in the paper leak case in the UKSSSC recruitment examination have been arrested so far, on the other hand, one accused has been arrested in 03 Secretariat Guard recruitment in the Forest Inspector case. The STF has also arrested three such accused who have been involved in both UKSSSC and Secretariat Guard exam rigging, adding to the key links. Apart from this, two accused have also been arrested in the recruitment case of Gram Panchayat Development Officer in the year 2016
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government is working diligently in the interest of the youth with the resolve of good governance in the state. The government will not rest until each and every one of the guilty is punished.
Due to the strictness of the Chief Minister, the police have recovered 94.79 lakh cash in the UKSSSC exam recruitment case. In this case, more than two dozen bank accounts have been frozen, in which an amount of about thirty lakhs has been deposited.
In this whole matter, UKSSSC conducted the graduation level examination on 4th and 5th December 2021 in three shifts in which about 160000 candidates appeared and 916 candidates were selected.
Unemployed organizations and many students had met the Chief Minister and demanded an inquiry into the irregularities in this examination. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a case was registered on July 22 on the instructions of the Chief Minister. 41 accused have been arrested so far.
Apart from this, the investigation of the Secretariat Guard and Junior Assistant (Judicial) examinations was also handed over to the STF. In the year 2020, a detailed investigation was also handed over to the STF by the Uttarakhand Police for copying the gang through Bluetooth in the Forest Guard (Forest Guard) examination.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Dhami, on the one hand, the then Secretary of the Commission was suspended in this matter, while on the other hand, the proposal from the cabinet on 9 September regarding the transfer of the recruitment process to the State Public Service Commission (UKPSC) by UKSSSC for 7000 posts in motion.
Keeping in view the interest of the youth, as per the expectation of the Chief Minister, the Public Service Commission has prepared the calendar of Group C examinations. Along with this, a full proof plan has been prepared with a view to conducting the examinations in the election mode. —ANI

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has thanked the state Assembly Speaker for cancelling the backdoor appointments in the Vidhan Sabha.
Talking to ANI regarding the backdoor appointments in the Vidhan Sabha, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "I had already requested the Speaker of the Assembly to get the disputed appointments investigated and to cancel the recruitments found to be wrong. Take action".
He further thanked the Speaker of the Assembly for cancelling the recruitment through illegal ways and means.
The state Special Task Force (STF) is investigating the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case but there is a demand for the CBI probe. Regarding this, the Chief Minister said that I have also said earlier that cases of wrongful recruitment have been coming for many years. Now that the matter has come before me, we have given the police to investigate and hand over the case to STF. "We have not drawn any 'Lakshman Rekha' for investigation," he said after being asked whether his government will recommend a probe by CBI or any other agency in near future. He said that if we feel that in the near future, then all the avenues are open for us to investigate whether it is CBI or any other agency. He said that we have not drawn any "Lakshman Rekha" for investigation.
Regarding women's reservation, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that for women's reservation, our government will go to the Supreme Court and we will fight as far as we have to fight further. Dhami government is continuously working towards making Uttarakhand a corruption-free state. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "The government is working with determination towards good governance. Corruption of any kind will not be tolerated". "The government has transferred the Subordinate Service Selection Commission and other recruitments to the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission to conduct them transparently. Now the examination process is moving with renewed transparency. Uttarakhand Public Service Commission has also released the calendar of dates for the first phase of examinations", added Dhami. On the other hand, one accused has been arrested in the 03 Secretariat Guard Recruitment in Forest Inspector case.
The Chief Minister said, "no injustice will be allowed to the youth of the state. He urged the youth to start preparing for the examinations with full enthusiasm and diligence. Presently the recruitment process for 7000 exams is in progress. Apart from this, they are also working on an action plan for recruitment to more than 12 thousand posts".
Dhami also addressed the issue to the girl Ankita Bhandari of Pauri district, who was missing for a few days, saying, "this is a very sad incident, it is a very heinous crime. Police are doing their job. The police have done all the work regarding the arrest, in this case, the harshest action will be taken, whoever the culprit is, will not be spared". —ANI

Uttarkashi: The resort of expelled BJP leader and the main accused of UKSSSC graduate level paper leak case Hakam Singh Rawat was bulldozed on Tuesday as it was illegally constructed. The resort was located in Sankri Mori, Uttarkashi.
The police forces of various police stations were deployed on the spot by the administration.
It was found that the resort of Hakam Singh was illegally constructed on land which belongs to the revenue department. After the orders of High Court, the SDM court again gave instructions for the measurement of Hakam Singh Rawat's resort situated in the Sankri Mori.
A team of eight members was constituted for the measurement. Following which the property was demolished.
The expelled BJP member and District Panchayat member Hakam Singh was detained by STF in connection with the Uttarakhand Subordinate Selection Commission exam paper leak case. He was detained by the STF from Arakot on the Himachal border after the disclosure of irregularities in the recruitment of various examinations of the Subordinate Commission.
The state assembly of Uttarakhand constituted a Special Task Force (STF) after the leak was reported. Speaking to ANI, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, "I'd like to thank Uttarakhand Assembly Speaker for immediately constituting a committee to investigate the irregularities in the UKSSSC paper leak case. We assure the youth of justice. No one will be spared. Those who have laboured hard won't be let down. As far as the Assembly is concerned, the Speaker has constituted the committee. We had urged her to constitute a committee and all the complaints of irregularities in the recruitment should be investigated, and cancel the irregular recruitments."
It is worth mentioning that earlier in the case, Senior Superintendent of Police of STF, Uttarakhand, Ajay Singh said that Gaurav Chauhan, Additional Private Secretary working in Public Works and Forest Department of state Secretariat was also arrested in connection with the UKSSSC paper leak case.
While talking to ANI, District Magistrate Abhishek Ruhela, has confirmed demolition of the illegal construction of the resort situated in Sankri Mori, Uttarkashi which was owned by Hakam Singh Rawat.
The UKSSSC conducted a written exam on December 4 and 5 last year (2021). This was the biggest examination of the commission for 854 posts, in which 13 categories of posts of different departments were to be filled. —ANI

Dehradun: The Special Task Force (STF) on Thursday filed another charge sheet against expelled BJP leader Hakam Singh and nine others in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) case.
"After the registration of the case on July 22 in this case, the STF has arrested 41 accused in this case so far and the process of arrest is still going on," STF's Superintendent of Police of STF, Ajay Singh, said in a release. The probe body has invoked the Gangsters Act against Singh and 21 other accused in the case.
As many as 41 people, including Gaurav Chauhan, the Additional Private Secretary in the Public Works and Forest Department of State Secretariat, allegedly involved in the paper leak case have been arrested so far.
STF is investigating the UKSSSC paper leak case but there is a demand for the CBI probe.
"I have also said earlier that cases of wrongful recruitment have been coming for many years. Now that the matter has come before me, we have given the police to investigate and hand over the case to STF," Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had said on September 23. The Chief Minister clarified that the case may get shifted to the CBI, if there is a need.
"We have not drawn any Lakshman Rekha for investigation," he said when asked if his government will recommend a CBI probe into the case.
On Tuesday, Hakam Singh's resort in Uttarkashi's Sankri Mori was bulldozed by authorities as it was allegedly illegally constructed. —ANI

Dehradun: In a major crackdown on officials involved in the UKSSSC recruitment scam, the commission’s former chairman RBS Rawat, secretary Manohar Kanyal and former examination controller RS Pokhriya were arrested on Saturday by the Special Task Force investigating the case.
The arrests were made in connection with the irregularities in the examinations conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission in 2016 for the recruitment of village panchayat development officers.
It is the biggest action taken so far by the STF against former UKSSSC officials involved in the scam.
“Today’s action sets a precedent that will deter anyone from indulging in such irregularities in future. The government and the investigating agencies are working to ensure that those harming the interests of the youths and genuine candidates are not spared and recruitment examinations in future are held with transparency,” Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said.
The examinations for the recruitment of VPDOs were held by the UKSSSC on March 6, 2016 across 236 centres in 13 districts and the results announced on March 30.
A panel headed by the then additional chief secretary had been set up in 2017 to probe the alleged irregularities committed in the examinations.
On the basis of the probe committee’s report the examinations were cancelled and the matter was handed over to the Vigilance Establishment, Dehradun in 2019.
A case was registered by the Vigilance Establishment under Prevention of Corruption Act in connection with the irregularities and investigation.
Dhami had handed over the case to the STF in August to speed up investigations and bring the guilty to book.
During the investigations, manipulation of the OMR sheets was detected by the STF which also recorded the statements of 24 candidates and important witnesses. —PTI&nbsp;

Only jail is the place for those who play with the future of our children", he said.
Chief Minister Dhami, on several occasions, has been repeatedly emphasising that he will not allow injustice to happen to his young siblings and that he will root out the termite of corruption in the recruitment of government jobs. The police said the assessment of the illegally acquired property of two associates -- Chandan Singh Manral and Ankit Ramola -- has been completed.
A detailed report has also been sent to the Dehradun District magistrate (DM), the police said.
The case pertains to a written exam conducted by the UKSSSC in December 2021. It was one of the major examinations conducted by the commission for 854 posts across 13 departments. However, there were widespread allegations of irregularities in the conduct of the test. Following these allegations, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami called for a probe and strict action against those guilty. Following this, the secretary of the commission was removed from the post.A Special Task Force (STF) was also constituted to investigate the alleged irregularities. —ANI

Dehradun: Enforcement Directorate will now take action in several recruitment scams in Uttarakhand, Special Task Force said on Sunday.
"The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is going to crack down on the accused of recruitment scams in Uttarakhand," STF's SSP Ayush Aggarwal.
He further said that the ED is considering it as money laundering as a large amount of money was transacted.
"The federal agency has taken copies of cases related to the recruitment scam from the police. So far, seven cases have been registered in Uttarakhand regarding various recruitment scams. Another case has been filed against the accused of a recruitment scam, the ED has taken information from the police," Aggarwal added.
At present, STF is investigating the joint graduate level, secretariat guard, forest inspector, and VPDO recruitment scam.
In most of these cases, charge sheets have been filed in court.
Recently, following the UKPSC paper leak which result in the Patwari Lekhpal exam being cancelled for around 1.4 lakh candidates, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami the state government will soon introduce a new law for recruitment exams conducted in the state for government jobs.
The law will be known as the 'Anti-copying law' which will punish the candidates getting involved in cheating during recruitment examinations and a 'ban of 10 years' will be imposed on them.
