Raichur, Karnataka (The Hawk): In the Raichur district of Karnataka, a report of an engaged Hindu woman eloping with a Muslim guy has surfaced. The girl's parents said that their daughter had succumbed to jihadi love. According to police reports dated Friday, Bharthi, a resident of Raichur city's Netajinagar neighbourhood, was married off by relatives after becoming engaged to a Hindu guy from Hoovinahadagali. Bharthi, on the other hand, was madly in love with Rihan, a coworker at a flower shop. She eloped with Rihan after breaking off her engagement and wed him. Bharthi converted to Islam in preparation for her marriage to Rihan on November 6 at a registrar's office in Hyderabad. The parents reported their child missing to the neighbourhood police. Later, they filed a complaint, claiming that Rihan had forced their daughter to convert to Islam and forced her into marriage. When the police found them and confronted them, the girl denied all accusations made against Rihan. She admitted to the police that she loved Rihan and had married him against her will.
