Moradabad: As many as four persons lost their lives after a truck and a tractor-trolley collided on the Thakurdwara-Moradabad highway on Thursday evening. The police said that as many as 14 people have been injured in the incident. The injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Thakurdwara for treatment.Speaking to ANI on Thursday evening about this incident, Shailendra Kumar Singh, District Magistrate of Moradabad said, "Four people died in the collision between a truck and tractor-trolley. As many as 14 people are admitted to the hospital. Some people are in a critical condition." It is said that all of them were returning from 'Kalu Shaheed dargah' near Gujarat's Amroha in a tractor-trolley. On the way, the tyre of a truck coming from the front exploded near Ramuwala Ganesh village in the limits of Thakurdwara police station area on the Thakurdwara-Moradabad highway. The truck went out of control and rammed into the tractor-trolley, the police said.Earlier, it was reported by the local police that three people including a child died in this accident. According to the police, the deceased were identified as Aamna Khatoon (60), Mohammad Arif and Mohammad Rihan (2). All three were residents of Shyonali village under Didoli police station area of Amroha district. Now, the death toll has risen to four. The identification of the fourth deceased is underway. "All educational institutions run by the board, technical Colleges, Colleges, ITIs, Polytechnic Educational Institutions and Roads, Koth,U.P. operated within a radius of 05 Km, All educational institutions run by Board / CBSE / ICSE Board, Technical Dated 25.07 in colleges, colleges, ITIs, polytechnics and other educational institutions. A holiday on the date 25.07.2022 and date 26.07.2022 (Monday and Tuesday) is declared" stated the notice. "All schools and colleges in Moradabad have been closed on Monday and Tuesday in view of the movement of Kanwariyas so that there is no disturbance in the traffic system," the DM further said.The 'Kanwar Yatra' is an annual pilgrimage for Lord Shiva's devotees. The Kanwariyas visit places like Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and Sultanganj in Bihar to fetch the holy water of River Ganga and then worship the God with the same water. Lucknow (The Hawk): In order to secure free and fair elections in the Rampur Assembly seat, where by-elections are scheduled for December 5, the Samajwadi Party has written to the State Election Officer demanding the dismissal of Moradabad Commissioner Aunjaneya Kumar Singh.
The party claimed that Aunjaneya Kumar Singh had a vengeance against SP leader Mohd Azam Kahn and his family throughout her lengthy tenure as the district magistrate of Rampur in the letter signed by state SP chairman Naresh Uttam Patel.
According to the letter, free and fair elections in the region could not be anticipated while Singh was in charge of the situation.
During the Rampur Lok Sabha byelection and the earlier this year conducted Assembly elections, the SP had already called for Singh's ouster.

Moradabad (The Hawk): In the Thakurdwara neighbourhood of Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district, a 30-year-old Dalit activist was allegedly shot dead on the orders of a local history sheeter who saw him as a danger to his illicit activities.
Hemraj Meena, SSP (Moradabad), said: "On the orders of history-sheeter Atul Sharma Pandit and his assistant Golu, one Bilal shot Vishal Valmiki. In response to the victim's family's complaint, a FIR has been filed. The offender must be taken into custody by one of five squads."
Atul Sharma, Bilal, and Golu have been charged with violating the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act of 1989 as well as IPC sections 302 (murder) and 120b (criminal conspiracy).
Mukesh Valmiki, Vishal's father, said: "My son was becoming increasingly well-liked among young people from various communities after recently joining a right-wing group. Sharma was unable to comprehend the popularity of a Dalit."
Local sanitation workers have made the decision to strike starting on Tuesday in protest of the killing.
Arpit Kapoor, a Thakurdwara circle officer who is looking into the issue, said: "After the murder, the mood is tense in this place. We are working to have all of the accused individuals listed in the case arrested as soon as possible."

Moradabad: A case has been registered against three people for allegedly raping a woman working at a mall in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad at gunpoint, said police on Friday.
The victim woman working as housekeeping staff at PVR Mall, Kant Road under the Civil Lines Police station area of the city was raped by a security guard working in the same mall. At the same time, the supervisor and housekeeping staff supported the accused in committing the crime, the victim stated in her complaint. SSP Hemraj Meena said, "A case has been registered based on the complaint of the woman in which she alleged that on February 27, while she was changing her clothes in the changing room of the mall, a security guard forcefully entered the room and raped her at gunpoint. During this, the supervisor and housekeeper of the mall supported the accused, standing outside the door."
"Later, the accused also threatened the victim to kill her husband if she told anyone, after which the victim left the job and kept quiet for some time. However, when the victim's husband came to know about the incident, he took her to the police station to file a complaint against the accused", added the SSP. A medical examination of the victim has also been done, as well as the whole case is being investigated. "No one will be spared, strict action will be taken against whoever is found involved in this incident", assured the SSP.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday, the sixth day of the election campaign for the upcoming Urban Local Body elections, held public meetings ahead of the municipal elections in Moradabad, Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, and Varanasi.
Attacking the opposition parties of misgovernance over a long period of time, CM Yogi put lays thrust on developmental works being carried out by the double-engine government. Campaigning for the BJP candidate in Moradabad, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the affection of the people of Moradabad was what brought him here despite the bad and unfavourable weather.
The CM said that by focusing on 'development' rather than 'appeasement,' the BJP government has raised the standard of living for the people.
Citing the example of Padma Shri Dilshad Hussain, an artisan from Moradabad, he said that both the President and the Prime Minister recognized his accomplishments. "Prime Minister Modi also presented handmade artwork of Dilshad Hussain to the Chancellor of Germany," he added.
"The brass industry in Moradabad was experiencing a downturn. The artisans were migrating. But today, Moradabad's brass business is achieving its glory in our government. Exports have increased, and it is now more well-known internationally", CM Yogi remarked.
The CM asserted that what the BJP government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the centre had achieved in the last nine years, the opposition government could not in 60 years.
Stating that UP is no longer anyone's legacy, the CM said, "Now there is no 'mafia raj' in UP. No extortions, or kidnappings for ransom take place The common man is safe in the state, and mafia-goons who used to proudly wander the streets are now begging for mercy with placards around their necks."
In Pratapgarh, the CM said that municipal bodies are a powerful medium to provide civic amenities at the grassroot level, appealing to people to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party candidates in the upcoming municipal elections in order to expedite the effective implementation of development projects and welfare schemes.
CM Yogi said: "Afterall, who does not like to have good roads with no traffic congestion, pure drinking water facility, effective drainage system, and an online system to get residential, caste, income as well as birth and death certificates with no need for them to make rounds of offices. But, only the double engine government of the BJP supported by the third engine at municipal bodies can ensure this."
Lashing out at the opposition parties including the Congress Party, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party for neglecting the development of Pratapgarh and for being responsible for the escalation in criminal activities, Yogi said, "Congress, the SP and the BSP left no stone unturned to destroy Pratapgarh. The district was famous for its gooseberries and the Auto Tractor Ltd. The Auto Tractor Ltd was shut down and people also stopped growing gooseberries during previous governments."
According to CM Yogi, extortions were rampant whereas traders and daughters were unsafe while farmers were miserable in the district during the opposition rule. Girls could not go to school for fear of goons, he added. "There was a saying-100 Padha, Ek Pratapgarha- meaning a resident of Pratapgarha was equal to 100 educated people. But, the place lost its glory due to the misgovernance of opposition parties", he pointed out. The CM emphasized that the double-engine government was trying to revive the glory of the place by declaring gooseberry as the ODOP of Pratapgarh, which will increase farmers' income. "We are building four-lane highways between Ayodhya and Chitrakoot that will pass through Pratapgarh. The Ganga Expressway between Meerut and Prayagraj will also pass through Pratapgarh. We have already opened a medical college in Pratapgarh", he said.
He said that by connecting talent with technology and training, the future of our youth is being made bright.
Stating that the cities of UP have been recognized as smart cities rather than garbage dumps, he said, "There is no terror of miscreants in our cities now, rather they have been recognized as 'safe cities'. Now no one can question the development of UP. With hopeful eyes, the entire world looks at India and Uttar Pradesh."
Criticising the opposition parties including the Congress Party, the Samajwadi Party, and the Bahujan Samaj Party for neglecting the development of Jaunpur, Yogi said: "Imarti's original sweetness was turned bitter here. The place was known for its 'Itra', but these people tried to turn the pleasant scent of 'Itra' into a stench."
Today, Jaunpur is regaining its lost identity, he added.
In Varanasi, the Chief Minister said that an atmosphere of trust has been created by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who represents not just Kashi in Parliament but the entire Uttar Pradesh in the country, in the last nine years where benefits of developmental works and welfare schemes are reaching every person, without any discrimination.
Describing Kashi as the spiritual and cultural centre of the country, CM Yogi said, "PM's vision is our mission. The double-engine government is dedicatedly working towards the development of the country and its people.
Seeking votes for Mayoral candidate Ashok Tiwari and his team and appealing to people to elect a full majority board, Yogi said that there was no terror of criminals today now in cities and the cities were developing into smart and safe cities.
Hitting out at Congress, SP and BSP, Yogi said that the governments of Bua-Babua and Bhai- Behan gave guns to the youth whereas his government was giving two crore tablets to the youth while linking them with technology and training.&nbsp;

Kanpur: On Friday, Jyotiraditya Scindia, minister of civil aviation for the Union of India, announced the imminent launch of direct flights between Kanpur and Delhi.
The Union minister stated, "We have announced 59 new routes and 122 new routes will be announced in the future," during his address at the opening of the new terminal building at Kanpur Airport. Kanpur to other major cities like Pantnagar, Aligarh, Moradabad, and Shravasti is a goal of ours. There are 11 active airports in the state right now, and another 11 are scheduled to open within the next three years. There will be a total of 22 brand-new airports in Uttar Pradesh. Scinidia promised that airports will be built in all of the major cities in the country, including Chitrakoot, Moradabad, Jhansi, Ghazipur, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Saharanpur, and Shravasti.
Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, remarked, "Kanpur has long been famous for its rich spiritual and historical history. The city was instrumental in sparking the industrial revolution in the state and throughout India during the time of independent India. The new terminal building would be Rs 150 crore more expensive than the old one, but will be able to accommodate 400 passengers during peak hours instead of the previous 50. Moradabad: An 18-year-old girl died during treatment at a hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad on Saturday two days after she was admitted there in critical condition, the police said.&nbsp;
The girl's family alleged that a youth, named Aman raped her and was threatening to her of making videos of her in a 'compromising position' viral on social media. They also accused him of poisoning her. According to police, the girl was brought to Moradabad district hospital on July 20 in critical condition. She died in the hospital during treatment on Saturday.&nbsp;
SSP of Moradabad, Hemraj Meena, on Saturday, said that the family claimed that on July 20, the girl was poisoned by the accused and she was admitted to the hospital on the same day where she died on Saturday.&nbsp;
He said that based on the family's claim, the accused Aman has been brought to the police station for questioning.
SSP said that the victim had a love affair with him. And both of them visited a restaurant, and during this time the family members of the victim called her. After which the victim left the restaurant in anger. Later she consumed poison.
"The family members have alleged that their daughter was poisoned and killed by Aman," he said.&nbsp;
The relatives informed the police about this incident. The police conducted the post-mortem of the victim's body through a panel.&nbsp;
A case has been registered on the basis of the family's accusation. The case is being discussed and the accused Aman is being interrogated.

Lucknow: A Moradabad resident was reportedly detained by the Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) on Thursday for alleged ties to the outlawed terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahideen (HM).
Officials from the Uttar Pradesh Police ATS said that Ahmed Raza alias Sharukh was from the village of Muilak Gudia under the jurisdiction of the Mundapandey police station in the city of Moradabad and that he had planned to join a terrorist group.
The local ATS said in a statement that Ahmed Raza had been in communication with HM's handler Firdaus. Ahmed was "inspired by Firdaus and planned to travel to Pakistan or Afghanistan to receive terrorist commando training and commit terror activities in India," according to the statement.—Inputes from Agencies

Four persons lost their lives on the spot, while two sustained injuries. All belonged to the same family. The injured are being treated at the district hospital, and postmortem examinations are being conducted for the deceased, he added. Further, Meena said that the driver of the vehicle, who was a member of the family, is currently in shock and undergoing questioning. It was revealed during interrogation that he had fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the vehicle to lose balance and collide with the pole.
