Junagadh (The Hawk): Prime Minister Narendra Modi used emotive pride to attack his opponents on Wednesday, urging people to punish those who insult them and the state.
"Some people believe in disparaging Gujaratis and dividing Gujaratis." Gujaratis have developed companies and trades that employ people from other states; these Gujaratis are being insulted; do we want to continue to allow such insults, or do you believe we should teach them a lesson? "Let us teach them a lesson for the pride of Gujarat," he stated while speaking to a crowd in Junagadh, Saurashtra.
He dedicated and launched development projects worth Rs 4,155 crore for the districts of Junagadh, Porbandar, and Gir Somnath.
He revealed intentions to turn the Keshod airstrip into a full-fledged airport, telling the audience that he has directed Civil Aviation Department employees to work on the project. Once the airport is functioning, fruits cultivated in the area will be able to be exported, and tourists from throughout the country as well as foreign tourists wishing to see Asiatic lions or visit Somnath temple would be able to travel there, he said.
Modi praised the coastal belt's economic contribution, saying, "In the last 20 years, aqua exports have climbed seven times." I have established the groundwork for three fishing harbours, which will help the fishing industry."
Earlier in the day, while opening Mission Schools of Excellence in Gandhinagar, the Prime Minister noted that "20 years ago, because of the dilapidated status of Gujarat's education sector, 20 out of 100 youngsters would never go to school."
"Those pupils who did get it to school would drop out after 8th grade, but in the last 20 years, the education system has seen growth and improvement... in Gujarat, more than 1.25 lakh new classrooms were erected, and more than 2 lakh instructors were recruited."

Junagadh (The Hawk): According to the brother of one of the deceased victims, two people have died and one is critically ill while receiving treatment at a government hospital after reportedly imbibing fake alcohol in Gujarat's Junagadh district.
Bhikhabhai Joshi, a Congress lawmaker from Junagadh, claimed that members of the Ghachipat society told him that a large crowd had assembled at the civic hospital because three people had been taken to the facility on Monday night after becoming ill.
According to Joshi, who spoke to IANS, the three individuals were transported to the hospital after complaining of feeling queasy and beginning to vomit. According to him, a third person is in serious condition and two people have passed away.
The cause of the death cannot yet be determined, according to the doctors, but will only be known after the post-mortem report is available, he continued.
The deceased's brother (name withheld) told the local media that he had received a call in the evening informing him that his brother had passed out in Gandhi Chowk after consuming some chemical (illicit liquor), so he took him to the government hospital. One deceased has been identified as Rafiq Ghoghari.
However, after declaring Rafiq dead, the doctor later discovered there was another body nearby. He asserts that the fatalities might be a tragic hooch incident.
People are not permitted to enter the government hospital because police are stationed there because residents worry that more people may have consumed illegal alcohol and will be brought in later in the evening.

Junagadh (The Hawk): Two people who purportedly passed away on Monday night after consuming IMFL alcohol had been poisoned, according to postmortem reports. Police have opened an accidental death inquiry and are looking into whether the person killed themselves or was murdered.
According to Ravi Teja Vasamsetty, the superintendent of police for the Junagadh District, two people named Rafiq Ghoghari and Bharat alias Johan Pithadia, died after a toxic chemical was added to their whiskey bottle; it was unquestionably not methyl alcohol.
According to the source, as soon as police were made aware of the event, they went and got the alcohol bottle from the Gandhi Chowk neighbourhood and sent it to the FSl for analysis. The analysis revealed that some poison was really added to the booze. Even the physicians discovered harmful chemicals in the deceased's stomach.
As far as Johan Pithadia's case is concerned, Vasamshetty told IANS that it appears to be a suicide case since he was "tired of his lonely life," his family had severed all relations with him about 15 years ago, and they even failed to come forward to claim the body.
He was in contact with a woman, who he informed he was tired of life, and the police recorded her story. While in Rafiq's case, the police are awaiting statements from his family members regarding his private life.
Two auto rickshaw drivers in Junagadh city's Gandhi Chowk passed out on the street on Monday night after drinking alcohol. Doctors pronounced both of them dead when they arrived at the hospital. At first, there was concern that it might be a hooch catastrophe.

Junagadh (The Hawk): A rape suspect wanted by Rajasthan police who spent over two years living in Gujarat's Junagadh while pretending to be a priest has been apprehended.
On Friday night, Devnarayan, also known as Lal Baba or Chunilal, was apprehended at the Mahakali Temple in Keshod.
The Rajasthan police announced a Rs 25,000 award on the culprit in January 2021 after the rape victim filed a complaint against him.
In her complaint, the woman claimed that her in-laws took her to the doctor when she was unable to conceive after marriage. Her family discovered during the examination that she was unable to become pregnant because of a problem that had arisen following her abortion before to marriage. When questioned, she told her husband about her situation, and he then filed a complaint, according to the police.
A joint team of Rajasthan and Gujarat police arrived at the shrine and took him into custody based on technical surveillance.
In her complaint, the girl claimed that the accused frequently visited the home of her aunt, during which time he repeatedly violated her and threatened to kill her if she told anybody.

Junagadh, Gujarat (The Hawk): A man was detained by police in Junagadh, Gujarat, for repeatedly raping a minor and impregnating her.
According to Keshod Police Inspector D.B. Koli, the 55-year-old suspect Karsan alias Babu Malmer was detained on Friday night and will appear in court on Saturday.
Only on Thursday, when the 16-year-old victim was taken to the hospital after complaining of stomach pain, did the incident come to light.
Koli said that the victim was discovered to be pregnant and had given birth to a girl at the time of the doctor's diagnosis.
The girl's parents claimed in their criminal complaint to the Keshod Police station that the accused initially sexually assaulted the girl nine to ten months ago and threatened to murder them all if she told anyone.
He took advantage of that and started raping her repeatedly.
Koli said that an inquiry was already in progress and that the accused will also get a medical.

Mumbai: Actress Rasika Dugal, who is known for her work in 'Mirzapur' and 'Delhi Crime', has shared that veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is her guru. Rasika is an FTII alumni and was taught by Naseeruddin Shah at the institute.

Ahmedabad : Maulana Mufti Salman Azhari, arrested in an alleged hate speech case by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) was brought to the investigative agency's office in Ahmedabad on Monday. Gujarat ATS officials after getting a two-day remand of the Islamic preacher from a Mumbai Court brought Azhari to their office in Gujarat's Ahmedabad today.&nbsp;
The Gujarat Police had on Sunday evening sought Mufti Salman Azhari's remand, and a Mumbai Court granted his transit remand to them on Sunday evening, allowing the police to take him to Junagadh. "They (Police) had applied for his transit remand; we opposed that and we had also said that he was illegally detained. The notice that needs to be served to us as per the law wasn't given to us...he has been sent to a 2-day transit remand. We have been told that he will be taken to Junagadh (Gujarat)," Azhari's lawyer Arif Siddiqui told reporters. Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has registered a case against the mob that had gathered outside Ghatkopar Police Station late on Sunday night demanding the release of Islamic Preacher Mufti Salman Azhari, who is facing alleged hate speech charges.
 Meanwhile, addressing his supporters, Salman Azhari requested them not to protest. "Neither am I a criminal nor have I been brought here for committing a crime. They are doing the required investigation and I am also cooperating with them. I am ready to be arrested if it is in my destiny," he said. Following the arrest of Azhari, the National spokesperson of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, Waris Pathan, claimed that the preacher had not delivered any provocative speech and that he must be given justice. "The due process of law must be followed; he must be given a notice under Section 41 A. We have full faith in the law and order that we will get justice. He did not give any provocative speech; he made all the clarifications. When actual hate speeches are given, why doesn't the government take any action then, why have no arrests been made then?" Waris Pathan said while speaking to reporters. The alleged hate speech was delivered at an event held on an open ground near the 'B' division police station in Junagadh on the night of January 31.
