New Delhi: &nbsp;A fire broke out at a factory in outer Delhi's Bawana Industrial Area on Thursday, the Delhi Fire Services said. No casualties have been reported so far, they said. "A call about a fire at a factory in Bawana Industrial Area was received at 11:45 am and so far, 17 fire tenders have been rushed to the site," said Atul Garg, Director, Delhi Fire Services. The cause of the blaze is not known yet and fire-fighting operations are still underway, he added.—PTI

In a Facebook story that is doing rounds on social media, the gang has vowed to deliver results in just two days. The message was uploaded by a Facebook profile named ‘Neeraj Bawana Delhi NCR’.”Jai Baba ki. Got the tragic news. Sidhu Moosewala was our brother from heart. WIll deliver results in 2 days,” read the FB post.Notably, Neeraj Bawana is one of Delhi’s top gangsters, and is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. The Facebook story also tagged other gangs viz. Tillu Tajpuriya gang, Davinder Bambiha and Kaushal Gurgaon gang. The vile threat was possibly issued to the rival gang of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who has been accused of planning the singer’s murder. Fearing a fake encounter by the Punjab police for “political mileage”, Bishnoi moved the court seeking to pass a direction to the Delhi Police and Tihar Jail Authority to ensure all necessary security arrangements for him. Moosewala, 28, was brutally murdered on May 29 while he travelling in a car and the assailants fired over 30 shots at him. He was taken to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.—IANS

New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested one sharpshooter of the Neeraj Bawana and Naveen Bali gang in the national capital who was previously involved in two cases of murder and attempt to murder, an official said on Thursday.The accused was identified as Neeraj (32), a resident of Pul Prahlad Pur, Delhi. He had indulged in nefarious activities since his adolescence and joined the Monty gang to commit many heinous crimes under his patronage. After Monty’s murder, he joined the Bawana-Bali gang as a sharp shooter. Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) Esha Pandey said a police team was assigned to track and nab the active criminals, who were using firearms in the area of Southeast District.“On May 29, an information was received that around 10.45 p.m. one sharp shooter of Neeraj Bawania and Naveen Bali Gang who is carrying a pistol would come on a stolen motorcycle from Badarpur side towards Madangir via MB Road to meet one of his friends,”the DCP said. Subsequently, the police laid a trap near Lal Kuan Bus stand, MB road and apprehended eeraj after multiple attempts. With his arrest, one automatic pistol, four live cartridges and one stolen motorcycle have been recovered from his possession.—IANS

New Delhi (The Hawk): According to authorities, a Delhi cloth shop owner was stabbed to death after he fought a robbery attempt.
On Sunday night, Praveen, 53, who owned a fabric shop in Bawana market, was on his way to Narela railway station to catch a train to his home in Haryana's Sonipat.
According to a senior police official, at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, information was received from Raja Harish Chandra Hospital regarding Praveen, who was transported by CATS Ambulance from Narela train station and proclaimed dead.
"Upon getting the call, police officers rushed to the hospital and the scene of the incident." During the preliminary investigation, it was discovered that Praveen was running a cloth business in Bawana market and that at the time of the event, he and Salim, who is also an eyewitness and a resident of Sonipat, were on their way to the Narela station," said the police official.
"They used to go the passenger train from Delhi to Sonipat and back on a daily basis." Around 8.30 p.m., as they were walking towards the Narela Railway Station to take the train to Sonipat, two men approached and attempted to rob Praveen's bagl.
"When Praveen protested, one of the robbers grabbed him and stabbed him with a knife." Praveen was injured and fell down. "Both robbers escaped, and Salim phoned an ambulance and a PCR call," stated the police official.
"A complaint has been recorded at SMRS police station under Sections 302 (murder), 394 (causing hurt in committing robbery), 397 (robbery or dacoity), and 34 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code," stated an officer, adding that an investigation is underway.

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday was conducting raids across the nation at more than 70 locations belonging to gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Neeraj Bawana and their aides.
The raids were conducted in Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh. The raids started early Tuesday morning and are currently going on. Lawrence Bishnoi was placed under arrest by the NIA on November 24, 2022 in connection with a case related to conspiracy hatched by terrorists, gangsters and drug smugglers' syndicate to create terror among the public.
His arrest was made when he was lodged in the Bhatinda Jail.
The case pertains to conspiracy hatched by the members of criminal syndicate based in India and abroad, to raise funds, recruit youth to carry out terrorist acts in Delhi and other parts of the country to execute spectacular heinous crimes, including targeted killings of prominent persons, with an intention to strike terror in the minds of the people of the country.
The case was initially registered at police station Special Cell, Delhi Police on August 4, 2022 and later on the probe of the matter was taken over by the NIA.
"We have learnt that the terrorist-gangster-drug smugglers syndicate led by Bishnoi was involved in many targeted killings and extortion from businessmen, professionals, including doctors.
This had created a widespread scare and terror among the public at large. All such criminal acts were not isolated local incidents but part of a deep-rooted conspiracy amongst the terrorists, gangsters, drug smuggling cartels and networks, operating from both within and outside the country," the NIA had earlier said.
The NIA found that most of the conspiracies were hatched from inside the jail by Bishnoi and were executed by an organised network of operatives based in India and abroad. Pertinently, the arrested gangster is involved and wanted in many cases, including the conspiracy to carry out targeted and sensational killings in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi for more than a decade.
Bishnoi along with his brothers Sachin and Anmol Bishnoi and associates, including Goldy Brar, Kala Jathedi, Kala Rana, Bikram Brar and Sampat Nehra were also raising funds to carry out all such terror/criminal activities through smuggling of drugs and weapons and widespread extortions.
Further investigations in the matter are on.

New Delhi: A 40-year-old woman died while her husband sustained injuries after their scooty was hit by a DTC bus in Outernorth Delhi's Bawana area on Saturday afternoon, an official said.  The deceased has been identified as Sheela, Swarantra Nagar in the area.  According to police, a police control room call was received around 1.25 p.m at Narela police station regarding a fatal accident in front of FCI godown main Bawana road by the DTC bus following which a police team was rushed to the spot.  "The woman, Sheela, was found dead on the spot. She was riding pillion with her husband Ram Kumar. They were hit from the rear by the bus," said the official.  "Her body has been shifted to a hospital and both the vehicles, the scooty and the bus have been taken into possession. A case is being registered on the complaint of the deceased's husband, who escaped with minor injuries," said the official.  A manhunt has been initiated to ban the DTC driver, who fled from the spot after the incident. New Delhi: Two men were killed while three others were injured following a blast in a factory in Delhi’s Bawana area on Wednesday, an official said.
Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said that a call regarding a blaze at a factory was received at 4.44 p.m followed which six fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
"On reaching the spot, it was found that some types of blast occurred in a plastic factory. Five persons were seriously injured in which two of them died on the spot. All were rushed to hospital," he added.

New Delhi: Overall air quality in Delhi continues to be in the ‘very poor' category on Tuesday, however, in the national capital, the Anand Vihar dipped to the ‘severe' category with PM 2.5 at 401 and PM 10 at 414 while the CO plunged to 103, in 'moderate' category, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).  The AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good'; 51 and 100 'satisfactory'; 101 and 200 'moderate'; 201 and 300 'poor'; 301 and 400 'very poor'; and 401 and 500 'severe'.  The Bawana station recorded PM 2.5 was at 452, and PM 10 at 404, both in the 'severe' category, while the CO reached 88 ('satisfactory').  At Aya Nagar, the PM 2.5 reached 360 and PM 10 was at 351, both under the 'very poor' category. The CO was recorded at 77, under the 'satisfactory' category at the weather station.  The AQI monitoring station at Dwarka Sector 8 recorded PM 2.5 at 398, in the 'very poor' category and PM 10 at 287 (poor) while the CO was recorded at 86, in 'satisfactory' levels and NO2 was at 50, in the 'good' category.  The air quality at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport T3 area was in the 'very poor' category with PM 2.5 at 374 and PM 10 at 229, in 'poor' levels.  The PM 2.5 at Okhla Phase-II was recorded at 417, in the 'severe' category while PM 10 reached 370, placing it under the ‘very poor’ category. The Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) reached 100 and Carbon Monoxide (CO) was at 65, both in the satisfactory levels.
