Lucknow: A major witness in the murder of former BSP member Raju Pal, identified by authorities as Umesh Pal, was killed early Monday morning in an encounter with police in Prayagraj.
Police say that Vijay Chaudhary, alias Usman, was shot in the neck, chest, and thigh during the confrontation.
A fight broke out between Gothi and Belwa in the Kaundhiyara police station area about 5:30 a.m., according to Dhoomanganj Station House Officer Rajesh Kumar Maurya.—Inputs from Agencies
