Hyderabad: President Ram Nath Kovind planted saplings at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolarum here on Sunday.
The President's wife Ms Savita Kovind, Governor E.S.L.Narasimhan and Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali also planted saplings at the Nilayam after Mr Kovind did so.
The sprawling Rashtrapati Nilayam serves as the abode of the President during his annual southern sojourn.
After planting saplings, Mr Kovind went to IIT-Hyderabad at Kandi in Rangareddy district to deliver the convocation address.
The President will fly to Chennai, after the convocation, to call on DMK President M Karunanidhi in the Kauvery Hospital.
