Roorkee: CSIR-CBRI team of Dr. Atul Kumar Agarwal, Senior Principal Scientist, Shri Anil Kumar, Controller of Administration and Shri Sushil Kumar, Senior Technical Officer visited KLDAV PG College, Roorkee and organized workshop-cum-seminar & various students awareness activities, under the banner of Vigilance Awareness Week.
Major activities included Pledge for national integration and corruption eradication, creation of Human Chain, awareness through Skits (Nukkad Nataks) and Slogans, Lecture on Academic Integrity, awareness on moral values, organization of Workshop-cum-Seminar and inculcating scientific temper in youth. All the volunteers, NCC cadets, students and teachers of the college participated in the programme with great enthusiasm.
Shri Anil Kumar administered the Integrity Pledge to the students and commenced the programme. Dr. Atul Kumar Agarwal presented a lecture on "Students against Corruption: Academic Integrity" and educated the students on the various types of corruption prevalent in the field of education. He also enlightened the students that seemingly small actions like copying assignments is also a form of corruption and may lead to serious habits like bribing authorities/officials for higher mark, selection and more. Dr. (Mrs.) Yashoda Mittal, Principal, KLDAV PG College educated the students in the importance of moral values in daily conduct. The students under the guidance of Dr. Atul Kumar Agarwal communicated the message of anti-corruption through creation of Human Chain, Skits (Nukkad Nataks) and Slogans.
Dr. Atul Kumar Agarwal encouraged the students to read sciences magazines such as Vigyaan Pragati etc. to develop scientific outlook and copies of the same were distributed amongst the students.
Programme Officer of NSS Unit, KLDAV PG College Dr. Monu Ram and Shri Rajesh Nautiyal; and NCC Officer Dr. M.P. Singh along with all the teaching and non-teaching staff and students were also present during the events.
