Dehradun (The Hawk): Hotels, malls, restaurants and places of worship would be opened in Dehradun Municipal Corporation area and Garhi Cantonment Board from July 1. However the pilgrims would have conduct darshan from a distance. Provision for sanitizers and soap would have to be made. People would have to maintain social distancing and the wearing of the masks would be compulsory. The hotels, malls and places of worship that fall in the containment zones would remain closed. Dehradun DM Dr Ashish Kumar Srivastava issued the orders on Tuesday. There would be ban on ringing of bells in the temples. The devotees would have to wash hands and feet with soaps and sanitizers. Namaz would be offered in mosques maintaining social distancing. The hotels and malls would also be sanitized. The shopping mall managements would have to make provision for thermal screening and sanitizers at the entrance. No one would be allowed to enter without wearing masks. The customers would have to maintain distancing of 6 feet between them. Home delivery staff would be given permission after health check up. The door handles, benches would be sanitized repeatedly. DM Dr Ashish Kumar Srivastava has said that he has recieved orders from the state government for opening of the hotels, religious places and malls in the Dehradun Municipal Corporation and Garhi cantonment area. The Cinema halls, Gyms, swimming pools, parks, bars, auditoriums, halls and banquet halls would remain closed.
