Journo Murder Case: Up Police Declares Reward On Arrest Of Absconding Duo

Saharanpur: A day after a journalist and his brother were shot dead over a minor dispute with their neighbour in Saharanpur Kotwali area, police announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each on the arrest of the absconding accused, Senior Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar said here on Monday.

The SSP said that based on a written complaint by the deceased's mother Urmila, a case of murder has been registered against six people. Eight police teams have been formed for the arrest of Mahipal and Sooraj Saini. Ashish Janwani, working as photojournalist with Hindi daily Dainik Jagran and his younger brother Ashutosh, were shot dead by their neighbours Mahipal Saini and his sons, owing to a dispute over garbage disposal in Madhopur of the city Kotwali area on Sunday. Mr Kumar said the culprits would be nabbed soon, whereas Mahipal's wife and daughter have been arrested. UNI
