Elaborate arrangements are being made at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh's Indore in view of the possibility of President Ram Nath Kovind's visit to Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's birthplace to take part in the 'Samrasta Sammelan' being organised on the occasion of his birth anniversary on April 14.
Prez likely to visit Mhow on April 14
Official sources today said that Indore Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey and other administrative authorities took stock of the arrangements yesterday. Mr Dubey directed that all necessary arrangements for the President's likely visit be completed by April 12.
According to the proposed programme, the President would visit Dr Ambedkar's birthplace and pay him floral tributes besides addressing the Samrasta Sammelan.
Sources said that Dr Kovind's visit is almost certain but approval from his secretariat is awaited. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and several of his cabinet colleagues would also take part in the programme.
