Congress protests Parrikars presence in RS

New Delhi : The presence of former Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar in the Rajya Sabha today led to noisy scenes with Congress Members entering the Well of the House in protest. A brief uproar ensued among the Congress benches as Mr Parrikar, who has taken over as Goa Chief Minister, entered the House during the fag end of Zero Hour, drowning out what was being said. The former Union Minister also made two unsuccessful attempts to speak but little could be heard as the jeering Congress MPs entered into the Well. Order was restored after Deputy Chairperson P J Kurien asked him to be seated after which the Congress Members trooped back. --UNI
