Holding the Congress party responsible for the ongoing standoff in Parliament, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar on Wednesday said that the opposition party was not serious about the no confidence motion.
Talking to reporters in Parliament, Mr Ananth Kumar, launching a direct attack on Rahul, said ,'He is not conversant with Parliamentary proceedings and has weakened parliament. After he became president of the Congress party the productivity of the Congress as well as Parliament has come down.'
The Minister said that the Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted the Parliament to run.
'We are ready for a discussion on all issues, including the No Confidence Motion. However, it is the Congress that is preventing the Parliament from functioning. Members of the AIADMK and the TRS have been agitating in the well since March 5. This has nothing to do with the no confidence Motion,' he said.
