Blaming the Opposition Congress for not allowing Parliament to function in the
second half of the Budget Session, senior BJP leader and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said on Friday that the grand old party was indulging in divisive politics.
Speaking to reporters in the Parliament premises, Mr Kumar said,' BJP works for connecting people while the Congress works for dividing them.
Congress indulges in divisive, negative politics. It didn't let the House function.'
The BJP will sit in protest against the negative attitude of Congress during the past 23 days, he stated.
BJP MPs protested in Parliament premises against Congress.
Minister of State for Prime Minister's Office Jitendra Singh lamented that the entire session got washed out. 'People of this country have not taken it kindly. We have failed to live up to the expectations of the people because of a handful of people,' he said while blaming the Congress for the wasted session of Parliament.
The second leg of Budget session, which resumed on March 5 and concluded on Friday, was a total
wash-out. Both the Houses of parliament were adjourned sine die without conducting any major business.
