Chef Vikas Khannas Documentary Kitchens Of Gratitude To Premiere At Cannes

New Delhi: Indian-born, Michelin-starred Chef Vikas Khanna is adding yet another feather to his already full hat. The chef, who has won hearts and palates globally, will make an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival this year with a documentary called Kitchens of Gratitude. The documentary is based on the internationally reknowned chefs ideology that that food has always been the thread that brings people together and that it transcends all barriers of caste, creed, faith, thus, encouraging people to share. Kitchens of Gratitude is expected to be unveiled by Indias Ambassador to France at the India Pavilion on the French Riviera on May 14, 2016. The world premiere of the documentary will be held thereafter. Cannes seems to be a great platform for this 44-year-old chef, who holds the distinction of being the first chef to release a book at Cannes. Last year, Khanna had released his book Utsav at the festival. The book is said to be the worlds largest compilation of festivals, traditions, ceremonies, rituals and, hence, food. With 1,200 pages and weighing almost 15kg, it is being pegged as the most expensive cook book in the world.
