City hosts first beauty pageant for Mr, Miss and Mrs titles

Haridwar: In a three- fold event organized by P Dikshit Management and Production house in hotel Royal Vrindavan on the Haridwar Delhi National Highway, a platform was created for upcoming fashion designers from India in Haridwar. The well known super model and Bollywood actor Mugdha Godse gave Iconic Achievers Awards in conjunction with FKC perfumes. A beauty pageant was held for 'Mr', 'Miss' and 'Mrs' titles wherein participants from 20 states showcased their talent in cultural and western round.

The show stopper this year was designer collection by Aurian Nayaab who is famed as King of men's couture for designing outfit for Mr. World. The shimmery evening gown worn by Mugdha was designed by Manisha Arya from Nainital which she wore with appreciation. The earrings which the supermodel wore were specially sent from Malaysia by Sonali, jewellery designer. Lot of participants from in and around Haridwar got a chance to rub shoulders with super models on the ramp. Hailing from Doiwala, Sufi Sabri, directed the show, giving rounds of cat walk practice to the fresher participants grooming them for the finale.

The outfits designed by famous designers for Garhwali, Kumaoni, Jaunsari, Rajasthani and South Indian attires during Uttarakhand Fashion Walk won a loud cheering and appreciation from the audience. Vipin Agarwal, Vishal Tyagi, Chahat, Shehzad, Mukesh Dubey showcased their designer collections through varied hues. The dress designer Salil Kapoor from Delhi showcased his kids' collection through models aged from 3 to 8 years.

In Mr, Miss and Mrs Star Fame India 2020 event, Rohit Singh was selected for the title 'Mr', Rupali Nagdeve as 'Miss' and Kavita Sandhu won 'Mrs' title. After the two rounds, the selected contestants were asked a question about who their role model was and why, to which most of the participants replied as their mother and father. It proved as a changing trend of youths towards their family members and their increased bonding with parents said the show organiser Pranay Dikshit who inaugurated the show by lighting lamp in the hands of his mother.

Actor model Mugdha Godse said that she was always fascinated by Ganga and found Uttarakhand more beautiful than even Switzerland. She said she would like to come again to the holy city and perform in a suitable event held at the banks of Ganga at the sanctum sanctorum Har ki Pauri. She lauded the efforts of founder of the production house Pranay Dixit to bring the fashion enthusiasts from the entire country in the holy land and link fashion with Ganga. Mugdha said she has been reading Swami Vivekananda and courageous tales of Shivaji which always inspired her to move ahead in life.

Earlier the event started with Ganesh Vandana and Kathak recital by kathak dancer Ila Pant and her student from Dehradun. The director of the show Sufi Sabri and anchor Aman Ahuja introduced the participants and the designers to the audience. On the occasion Mugdha awarded some talents including Moosa from Dubai, Mamta Dikshit from Haridwar, Soumya from Dehradun, Rahul Anand from Rishikesh Nalini Taneja from Dehradun, Harish from Surat in contribution to society in their respective fields.
