New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday condoled the death of veteran journalist Kuldip Nayyar, saying he was an "intellectual giant of our times".
"Frank and fearless in his views, his work spanned across many decades. His strong stand against the Emergency, public service and commitment to a better India will always be remembered," Mr Modi tweeted.
"Saddened by his demise. My condolences," Prime Minister wrote.
Nayyar was also associated with the news agency UNI.
At later stage in his life, Nayyar's syndicated column, "Between the Lines", became immensely popular.
