Rishikesh (The Hawk): During the two years of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Yojana, more than 31 thousand patients were treated free of cost in AIIMS Rishikesh. While golden cards of more than 5 thousand people have been made.
These schemes were started in September 2018 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh. Under these health schemes, in the last two years, more than 31 thousand patients from around a dozen states of the country including Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh have got free treatment facility in AIIMS Rishikesh. On completion of 2 years of the schemes, a program was organized at AIIMS. On the occasion it was told that even during the transition of Covid-19, the process of making free golden cards in AIIMS Rishikesh is going on.
Padmashree Prof Ravi Kant, Director AIIMS said that the objective of the schemes run by the Central and State Government is to provide free treatment to poor and needy people. He said that the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is the largest health care scheme in the world. He said that those who do not have the golden card of Ayushman Bharat Yojana can make their Ayushman Golden Card in AIIMS Rishikesh with complete documents related to their identity. For this, a separate counter has been set up in the Ayushman department of AIIMS.
Ms Archana Joshi associated with the scheme said that while registering the beneficiaries, they are given information related to the treatment included in the scheme. People should take advantage of these schemes. On this occasion, SO Vimal Sachan, Ravindra Singh, Yashvi, Preity Negi, Kamal Juyal, Vijit Verma, Manveer Singh Rawat, Devendra Singh, Mahesh Kothari, Sushma, Naveen, Reena, Jyoti, Pooja, Amit, Kavya, Usha, Harpreet, Kiranpal, Vikas Rawat, Shravan Semwal, Amandeep Negi etc were present.
