Mumbai: The Rupee fell today by ten paise to end negative at 68.23, on fresh selling of Dollars by banks and exporters, traders at interbank Foreign Exchange said.
Tumbling down by 33 paise yesterday, the domestic unit lost by 15 paise to 68.21 in opening trade. Later, it closed negative at 68.23, down by 10 paise as compared to its last close.
It registered day high and low at 68.15 and 68.29 against the US Dollar.
The Indian currency fell today due to brisk demand for the American currency from importers, however, the weakness of dollar against some of its global peers capped the rupee's fall, dealers added.
